  1. Well its actually a mini version of the USA hehe I was technically born in Italy but I grew up with baseball, Dr Pepper and Cracker Jacks haha And yeah I´ve mostly met really nice people both in the base back then but also here in the states :)

You know I keep reading this and I still dont know what the "old school" vibe is haha What is meant by this exactly? The Parachute vibe ? or the piano ballad style ?
  3. I used to be an avid Amazon customer. Now I just decided to support local stores instead as much as I can. Hope you guys get your albums soon! Amazon usually has a great customer service.
  4. Well I am sure Canada is just stunning when it comes to nature! I´ve never been but I can only imagine from the pictures I saw :) And I do know about the mild "rivalry" between canadians and americans? hehe The small town-cottage vibe is all over in New England imo. I remember visiting Cape Cod, the MA coastal area is full of quaint towns :) They to me are very reminiscent of Scandinavia/germany. (and pilgrims from northern europe were quite prominent in these areas if i remember correctly and it sure shows in the architecture and such). Historical presence? Yes Europe wins hands down ! haha The USA is such a young country it needs another 500 years minimum to build some history hehe But you cant really hold it against them haha As for american people I like them! But then again maybe I am biased. I grew up in an american military base after all, so I´ve been surrounded by them since I was a toddler hehe I always found them pleasant, kind and very talkative (which is a plus if you are a social person as danes are quite reserved hehe). They never made me uncomfortable...well ok maybe once when I met some "overly" religious ones hehe but 99% of the time was fine so far :)
  5. *lol* You know the whole song kinda reminded me of Jennifer Lawrence I dont know. She is kinda "cool" :)
  6. *lol* Maybe its my american genes but I always liked the US. I´ve been to Boston and love the city (incidentally I was there during the marathon bombing :/, we had to go to watch it but I changed my mind at the last minute, talking of destiny sometimes... ) , New York as well I love very much. I cant wait to see LA one of the next days. I had my first Thanksgiving here too and wow my favourite food of all time :) Also I am very much a homemade burger/fries/ice cream kinda guy and here I found some delicious ones (no I dont mean the cheap fast foods hehe). I enjoy the country as a tourist, but not sure I´d enjoy it as a citizen. I mean I could but some things would have to change hehe However I live in Denmark, in what is probably the diametrically opposite system to the USA socially and politically. And I do prefer Denmark´s system, though it´s far from flawless. When the social safety net is lacking you can see it in a country and it´s detrimental for all imo.
  7. I love both songs, but I can see where you´re coming from. They are kinda "flat" melodies, not memorable ones.
  8. Its the mantra hypnotic effect hehe :P
  9. You know Ive not actually been to LA yet *LOL* I´ve kinda been around Anaheim so far only. I have acclimated to an extent that I feel like a local now haha And yes its quite tricky to feel things so strongly and yet achieve a balance. I finally managed to a few years ago, I kinda found an anchoring point in my life which stands still, like a rock, so no matter how high I soar or I low I dive, I am never lost, I always have a thread which brings me back to the center. I found this to be a nice compromise for me, where I still get to express my I guess you call it passionate nature but so it doesn't become detrimental to me.
  10. Thats incredibly sweet and heartwarming of you to say, thank you :)
  11. Being in love of all things is the most subjective of all! haha I, like Chris perhaps I think, have quite an exuberant "bubbly" nature, so I tend to feel things very strongly on both side of the spectrum (bad or good). I´ve been in love a few times, but with this one woman it does truly feel like being drunk and high and actually the soaring through the sky part I know very well (I do it often in my head hehe). And no this is not like being physically drunk or high for me. I´v been both and I dont like the feeling, I just tried it once or twice and quickly got bored. The being high and drunk in love is much different, it feels really good and just right! And you know what? It doesn't even have to be about a specific person, sometimes its just the sheer joy of being alive, you feel it cursing in your blood like a drug :) But yeah I agree, hardly everyone feels the same, love means and feels differently to all of us. Edit: Oh And i noticed you wrote "loving someone" being more complicated. And yes it totally is! But "Being in love" is not the same feelings as "loving someone" to me. The former is the "rush" of love through you, the latter is how this love manifests in all and the dynamic you have with this person in all areas of your life and through time so yeah the latter would be much more complicated hehe
  12. Interesting. I had considered trying Tidal Hi Fi downloads, but to that price it´s better to just go on and buy the CD imo :/

Sweet interlude and I find the narrator voice soothing. Also provides the central theme of the whole album, so nice addition :) Lana Del Rey also had a poem in the middle of her latest album. I kinda like this, adds an extra artistic touch to the work and also a little breather between songs :)
  14. "Because each has been sent as a guide" . It repeats the ending of the poem in Kaleidoscope.
  15. Ah thats where he was hehe Thanks.
  16. Birds are a wonderful metaphor for something spiritual and uplifting and magical imo :) This song is just gorgeous, but it truly becomes epic towards the end and then I love how it ends with just "cool" *lol*
  17. Jedi Leo replied to Coeurli's topic in Everglow
Yes I read them yesterday (not without some eye squinting though haha) on my large vinyl lyric sheet. :) I love how this ties together with Hymn, again about someone bringing love and light to you when you are in most need of it and in this song said woman doesn't even need to be there physically, its sufficient just with her "everglow". I swear the boys have such a knack for singing my life ! haha Loving the lyrics this time more than ever.
  18. What a bummer :( You can still cancel the order and buy it somewhere else. Target has it for $10 on CD I believe?
  19. Now of course lyrics are subjective, but this song is deeply meaningful to me and it was from the very start. The lyrics were all very clear to me about having someone in your life who gives you life and strength and love when you are at your lowest. This is the angel in the song (angel from up above, put your wings on me), which to me also directly connects to the woman (women?) in Adventure of a Lifetime. The "drink from me" metaphor is truly beautiful and very apt to convey this feeling of how someone can truly breathe life into you again, give you sustainance in such a basic level. And of course its a song describing how such a connection to this person is rooted in a profound love (the "drunk and high" and "shoot across the sky" lyrics is how we all feel when we are in love hehe). These lyrics actually move me a lot, because I have such a person in my life, whom I have always called "angel" and she has always been the one to lift me when I am "so heavy". :) So yeah thats why the song speaks to me so :) Note: The "drinks on me" theme was what initially came to Chris but it was then scrapped (Guy saying you cant get away with that haha) and the angel-figure theme came along, which btw I think Beyonce sings beautifully with her angelic voice. :)
  20. ^I did not even think about that line until people pointed it out. I was kinda busy being in a trance haha And yeah I think you kinda need to like this sort of music to like this little experimental thing.
  21. I was thinking today as I was sitting at Starbucks Barnes n Noble listening to the album for the first time...isnt it Christmas already? I got the best gift ever in my hands already :) I was turning the sleeve 360 degrees and upside down to read the lyrics...I had a blast *lol*
  22. Ok re listening to it now...I am getting pissed its not longer *LOL* I cud have this on repeat and just dance trance-like til I fall asleep on the floor haha
  23. Jedi Leo replied to getithom's topic in Army Of One
Loving the "uh bee doo" something background here hehe It´s just right. Also I just love the concept of an "army of one". It´s just so fierce and brave :cool:
  24. All Coldplay lyrics are immediate, aren't they? (Well ok except maybe Violet Hill hehe) But if we ignore the "heart-boom" line all else is pretty nice on this track. I like the "wherever you are I find a treasure so I race for it" line a lot :)
