I literally can´t wait to see us all on the DVD....SOOOO lucky!

This was my first MX concert and I was SO lucky to have been in Paris! When Rhianna came out, the crowd went wild! It took me a few seconds to realise it was really her and not just a video! And then the two xylobands, Paradise twice, umbrella and the thought that I will probably be able to buy the DVD as a souvenir of this amazing night forever! WOW! Just WOW! Thanks to all those who were there with me, making up this amazing crowd!

Anyone who lives in Paris and is eventually a member of Couchsurfing, willing to host me for a few days during the concert? I have a spare ticket for the golden area I would give away as a thank you :) Let me know either here or through private message! :)

Yes I like the video, because it´s representative of the song. I would have liked more flying scenes though: I am a sucker for those :)

Boy does that remix suck! Why oh why did they release it? Ok now it´s not that bad...weird how I can change my mind so fast: it´s almost spooky

I think the lack of linearity reflects the song. We are going back and forth between how the relationship was and how it fell apart, both in the song and in the video.

I love both UFO and UWTB. The only reason I can think of they are not playing them is that they can´t really fit them in the playlist. One must remember that live songs must reflect a balance between all albums as well as fit together in the playlist, so I can only assume that for some reason these two did not fit so far. For my sake, they could play all MX back to back hehe

I don´t see how the video does NOT show a story. For me it tells the song´s story perfectly. You see the two lovers on opposite sides, with their clans on some scenes, seemingly fighting each other and then there are the desert forehead scenes, where they show their heart and how much they hurt. I think the video was quite effective in depicting the song´s theme.

Now I watched the video three times as I think it does require multiple viewings. I think Coldplay has struck a difficult balance here between a simple indie video and a pop special effects video, which mirrors perfectly the collaboration between Rhianna and Coldplay. I love how the video describes the song perfectly. The scenes where they are both dressed differently and each stays with their clan, facing each other in battle and then the incredibly intimate scene forehead-to-forehead, opening their heart to each other and admitting how much they hurt. The video works great with these contrasts and in the end you can almost feel the glimmer of hope, of a future reconciliation, which is the spirit of the last part of MX. All in all, well done! On the contrary to me the flying scene was poignant, showing how once they were "flying" together, united by their love and common goals.

Was the video slated for the last week of May?

I know EXACTLY what you mean. I can´t bear listening to it either, which is a pity because Jonny´s lick is wonderful.

Finally! I thought I would never be asked! :D In no particular order, but my ten fav are: - Don´t panic - What if - Lost - Strawberry Swing - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall - Up in flames (yep I love Jonny´s little riff mid song!) - Paradise - Charlie Brown - Politik - Violet Hill Ok seeing others´lists I realize ten are just not enough....Jonny´s riffs are the life and soul of Coldplay songs!

I would love for them to play MX from start to finish , in the proper order! hehe Well dreaming aside, I would love to hear DLIBYH, as well as Up With The Birds. U.F.O would be lovely too. I personally don´t care much for new songs: I am looking forward to hearing them play MX

I remember a similar crazy sale with Lady Gaga´s Born This Way...it does look pretty extreme though, 25 cents! I would feel pretty bad paying only that small amount for the wonder that is MX :)

I truly can not see any MX songs as separated from the album, so Coldplay´s intent to make a cohesive LP certainly hit the mark with me! Up With The Birds is the incredibly moving, uplifting, yet gentle ending to the story of Mylo and Princess. For me it is a sort of 42, clearly a mix of two different songs, but they work surprisingly good together. Whenever I hear it, it never fails to move me and remind me of the good things to come. It is only befitting that it won´t be a major single, but a track for the few like us who appreciate hidden gems!

Congrats on people´s first vinyls! I think my first vinyl was an italian children record I desperately wanted and got my mum to buy me when I was 3! hehe Several vinyls followed, with somewhat better music content :)
