The first part is super spacey, but the second part is super groovy! I love the song for blending these two. I love when "a simple plot" starts: that guitar! It´s a lovely ending to their most eclectic album for sure.

I LOVE Moving to Mars, but I kinda can't see it fit with the rest of the songs. The mood of the song just does not go along with the rest of MX in my opinion, even though the lyrics do.

Because he is human. Don't we all have something we'd rather not talk about or discuss? Chris, unlike a lot of other celebrities, does wear his heart on his sleeve so he genuinely gets upset or uncomfortable when asked questions about his wife. The reason for this only he knows, but journalists should respect his unwillingness to discuss Gwyneth. He has been so good handling the odd question about her lately, but 4 questions is pushing it by anyone's standards. Chris is actually incredibly lovely and available in all interviews, so why pestering him with the one subject he 'd rather not talk about? I'd say the interviewer knew what he was doing and was looking for some drama

I totally agree that musical tastes are subjective and reviews pretty useless, by I would like to know why the scores of this album are lower than previous ones ( if it stays under 60). No doubt people seem to really love the album though. I say if you liked the material you heard during th summer, it's a safe be you will love the album as well

Twitter is bursting with great comments about MX! The negative ones are VERY few and far in between. If this buzz is to be believed, they have another hit album on their hands, critics be damned.

I was SO tempted to get the vinyl, but had to stop myself. After all we are gonna get it with the pop-up edition.

Still no download link here....anyone else still waiting?

My order status is processed, but I have yet to receive the email with download link. I think it looks like they reserved the amount on your credit card and the order will be processed in December, but try and email them and ask, just t be sure!

I only listened to the album twice and am looking forward to re-post after several listenings. I remember being excited about VLV already after the first listen and loving it right then and there, even though it took time to really get into some of the songs. As for MX, my first impression was that the A-side (up to Major Minus) is probably the greatest A-side ever made: it truly feels and sounds like a collection of greatest hits. Each song is super solid: pure gold. The B-side is, in my opinion, less impressive, though featuring excellent tracks like PoC and MM. The fact that the b-side contains all the really new songs make me think that I will have to listen to it a few more times before making up my mind about them. I found it very weird to be able to sing on most songs, due to the intensive early live promotion, EP and songs streaming on iTunes. Time will tell whether this is a good thing or not. So far then a great A-side and glimmers of brilliance on B-side. Will report back :)

Where is this "available downloads" page? On mine I can only go to "check your order status" and it is "processed", but no download link or download email

Have not received the email with the link either. Still waiting. Listened to the CD though: a fantastic and super varied collection of songs. It IS their most coherent album for sure.
