Actually listening to it right now. It's deliciously upbeat. A party album. Love it.

I'm digging Sam's Town as well. It's not amongst my fav albums of the year though. It's just 'good', not great. And I agree it's better than Hot Fuss. They're a very, very good band. Brandon Flowers isn't a great singer, but a fine frontman nonetheless. Who knows, they might be huge someday.

A colleague of mine went on holiday to Boston two weeks ago, and bought one of Dane Cook's CD's over there. He lended me the CD, and it was pretty funny. I also heard that he'll be doing one of the voices in next year's Transformers Movie. Should be neat

Baahhhhhh!! I could've been at a Babyshambles gig right now.

There's not going to be a DVD. It has never been announced officially. And f*ck Free Record Shop. They wouldn't know a good release if it punched 'em in the face. Sure, you can 'pre-order' it, but it would take them 2 months of sending out mailnotes to people who pre-ordered it saying 'awaiting info from our suppliers' to eventually find out that there's not going to be a DVD after all.

It has been announced that this week's gigs in The Netherlands have been posponed to either January or February. Dates t.b.a. I guess it will be the same for the rest of the European tour.

Amy's hot, but that's about as far as it goes. Not a fan.

I actually have the album. Probably the first person in The Netherlands to have it too. Pretty good band, and the album's fairly ok too. 3/10 is a bit harsh. It's really not that bad. So they signed a 5-album deal? Wow. Island must really have faith in these guys. I am under the impression that the first album won't sell that well (much like, say, Morning Runner), but it does sound promising. Who knows, they might release a classic one day. They really have potential.
