Random Coldplay thoughts...
My big sister texts me quite a bit about Coldplay related things at the moment. Today she was shocked at how low the price for the MX cd is. I couldn't explain it to her. She found it cool that I've but the pop-up album. My mum texts me (almost) every time she hears Coldplay in the radio and wish me a good day. :nice: (I live for myself now.) Usually they play Coldplay in the morning, actually, so she hears it if they do.

Coldplay Interview (Concrete, UEA's Independent Student Newspaper)
I'm a bit bummed he said that about Speed of Sound as I had euphoria when that song came out which was what made me really discover Coldplay. That was the start of everything. :wacky: :cheesy: I'm just glad that I've heard it live. :nice: It could seem as if they won't play it anymore.

iTunes gapless problem?
Great proof that I shouldn't be up that late at night. I'm so sorry!! Glad you took it as a compliment. ;) Can I make it up to you by learning your real name? :)

Volume change in iTunes download
For me the problem was on my iPod so naturally I had to change the settings there. :) Just in case anyone still have the problem and can't figure out why.

iTunes gapless problem?
On your iPod or iPhone go to Settings, Music and switch sound control off. This solves the loud to quiet problem. If it's only in your iTunes, not your device, go to Edit, Preferences, Playback and tick off the box that says "Sound check". In iTunes, select all the songs of Mylo Xyloto, rightclick, click "Get info", go to "Options" and choose "Yes" to "Gapless album". This solves the gap problem. It worked for me. :) Edit: Sorry, didn't see the link Thalia posted. Anyway, I still give you the steps to a gapless album.

Thanks, chommy_16! I was wondering about that photo too. Where can I find all the official Mylo Xyloto photographs (you know, the studio ones for press etc)? I could only find one in the gallery.

I second that. I must admit I think is a bit repetitive and slightly boring. I'm obsessed with DLIBYH on the other hand.

I'm so jealous of the audience. There is not barrier. :o They're so close to the band. The Scientist. A dedication to an Anabelle?

[Pitchfork Article] The Coldplay leader on Eno, Radiohead, and his band's new LP, Mylo Xyloto
I think that's one of the best Chris Martin interviews I've ever read! :) The questions are good and his answers are great. I learned quite a bit about their music and I could relate to many things he said including liking "Last Friday Night" (yes! :P). There are definitely some quotes I want to keep. I especially liked this question and the answer to it: "Pitchfork: But everyone there loved it. And when I saw you at Madison Square Garden at the beginning of the Viva la Vida tour, you messed up a couple lyrics, too, but you make it work somehow. At the same time, I can't help but think that another area rock act like Bruce Springsteen probably wouldn't do those things." I looove what Chris said here: "But even though some of the things I do can come across nerdy or unprofessional, it's at least true to me. Now more than ever, pretending not to be myself would end even worse. [...] So the only thing you can rely on is not being false. [...] it's also why people like us, because it's coming from straight from the heart. There's nothing in the way. When I fall, I fall. That actually happens quite a lot, just not on camera-- that was embarrassing." Wow, it is part of why I love Coldplay and Chris. I can relate so much to it and I actually think what he said there can help me staying true to myself and being the nerdy, awkward person I am. It might sound cheesy, exaggerated and all, but it's true.
