  1. It would be awesome (if I can afford it) if they're going to play in Herning! It's the same town as last time but this time I actually live close to it so I could save time and money on travelling. :) And I wouldn't have to miss classes. So I'm crossing my fingers for it to be true.
  2. Oooh ooh, I live at a dorm and have my window open and suddenly I could hear The Scientist playing from one of the rooms across the lawns in one of the other buildings of the residential a moment ago. :wacky: The person must have played it pretty loudly because there are two lawns and a path between the buildings yet I could hear it. I've begun reading English at the university and there is a fellow Coldplay fan on my team. We freaked a little about it at a party the first week. :P There's at least one other person on my team (in my class, if you like) who really like them too. She asked me what my favourite song by them is and I replied "Politik" which she said is good so she must at least have heard that song. :)
  3. Haha, this is kind of brilliant. :P Great! Thanks for making it. :D
  4. As much as I am in denial I agree with much of the first post of this thread. Coldplay's music is not as good as it has been. I've only listened to Paradise twice but I could hardly recognize Coldplay - and not in a good way. It seems too poppy and repetitive - a repetition I previously admired Coldplay for avoiding. The chord progression doesn't give me the excitement that Coldplay's chords usually do at all. I don't want to judge the whole album by that so I'll leave it at that for now. I am torn, though, so I will try not to take it all too seriously. This isn't life or death. It's one album. Sure, they will probably not make as good music as they have previously but one could hope that this is just an unfortunate one. I will not write myself off the fanlist and I will try not to get too carried away with all you "giving up" on Coldplay now. Relax and let's see what happens. The thought of not being a Coldplay fan breaks my heart, so I will personally not let it happen over an unheard album and a bad single.
  5. This. If I could afford it (especially if Coldplay happened to play in London that weekend) I'd totally go, but I've barely got a bed to sleep on. Sounds like loads of fun! :)
  6. The radio just played In My Place (so naturally I turned the volume up)! At a point it was kind of awkward, though, because they had apparently forgotten to turn the microphone off so you could hear someone whistling along to the guitar riff for a moment. :uhoh:  I can't wait for the new album, but I really hope I can afford the limited edition package. :worried: I've just moved from my family home for myself, you see.
  7. Woah, well figured out! :surprised: It's been a while since I've posted on the forum, so hi, everyone! :D
  8. I'm new in this city. The other day I was wandering around in this large supermarket, I couldn't find what I needed and my shoe chafed my foot like hell. Then I heard "Don't Panic" coming out of one of the speakers in the store. :stunned: :wacky: Coincidence??? I think not! I stood under the speaker until the song ended. :)
  9. ^Cool find. Maybe they are the same that made the MTV walking man. I love the song and the video! (Can Chris get any hotter? :sweatdrop: :wacky: Ahem...) Sure, the song is different from what they've previously done, but I think it gives me a great feeling. I'm telling you, I've danced around like a lunatic to that song! Jonny is rocking it! I like the lyrics too, with the music. I think my favourite line "So you can hurt, hurt me bad, but still I'll raise the flag" sums the whole song up perfectly. It's about overcoming and enjoying life as it is now, hence the upbeat tempo and happy melody. I had no worry at any point for the"new direction" whatsoever as you could've seen on my Twitter. The other new songs are great too! I have both the vinyl and the cd single, which I'm very happy about. :D I really like the blue vinyl. When you hold it up to light, it looks like paint, very cool. I got the little cover print too, which is disappointing of size, because I pre-ordered the bundle from Digital Store.
  10. Haha, it's such a funny "interview"! Did MTV forget to make questions or something? :P I should play this whenever I have a bad day, because it always makes me laugh so much. Thanks!
  11. Can I just say how much I love this little smiles from Chris in the ETIAW video. :wacky:  :wacky: Good thing to fall asleep after, I think. Goodnight. :)
  12. Thanks for the pics! I heard the interview this evening too, great! Yes, that was so cute. "Don't worry about it" :)
  13. I've been "away" for about a week. So far I've caught up on Major Minus, Moving to Mars, ETIAW video and a Chris interview by Ryan Seacrest. What more does a Coldplay fan need to check up on? Please point me in directions. I know there's the Glastonbury show and the live blog to it.
  14. Wow. This song blew me away. I forgot where I was the first time I listened to it. It's magical. Early in the song it reminded me of Gravity, which is one of my favourites, that I always cry to. The part, where "and I heard it on the radio that one day we'll be living in the stars and I heard it on a tv show that somewhere up above and in my heart they'll be tearing us apart maybe moving us to mars" is sung got me all teary. At first listen I thought Chris' voice was way too deep in the beginning, but it's not so bad. Although, he will have trouble if he is going to sing it live, I'm afraid. The light thrums you hear at 3:30 sound like those in Mew's Comforting Sounds. The song is difficult for me to explain, really. Oh, and I didn't rate it. I find it hard to do with most Coldplay songs, but it definitely gets a high grade in my book.
  15. When I listened to "Moving to Mars" "Gravity" came to mind. :) A friend of mine has said that he thinks "Gravity" sounds Pink Floyd-ish, so it would make sense. I'm not very knowledgeable of Pink Floyd myself.
  16. I just watched the new ETIAW video for the first time.... Gaaaaaaaaah! CHRIS IS SO GORGEOUS and hot, I'm about to die!!! :dead: :bomb: "I feel my heart start beating to my favourite" man! I definitely got a lot hotter and my pulses start going crazy. :sweatdrop: It fits the song though, cause I can't stop moving to it and now my pulse automatically follow along! :P As I wrote on Twitter: "Wow, should've known watching Coldplay's new ETIAW video in 1080p wasn't good for my heart. Chris is so gorgeous, I can't handle it. :dead:" Seriously, I didn't know what to do of myself! :stunned: [/ramble over]
  17. The local radio just played ETIAW and the 2 hosts talked about how he was quite a Coldplay fan. He then went on to talk about how Coldplay are apparently accused of plagiarism of "Ritmo de la Noche" for the song as with Viva La Vida of "If I Could Fly". I then wrote them an email saying that they had sampled "I go to Rio" by Peter Allen with permission and state it on their website and Twitter. They bloody said what I had written to them with my full name and all!!! They appreciated it, too! I just pwned on local radio! :P *feels like a good Coldplay fan* :wings:
  18. Wow, Chris' votes has raised a lot since last night! :o We can do this!
  19. I just got my red dress and it fits me perfectly. It is not as short on me as on the model, who has insanely long legs, but that is just good for the purpose. :nice: I can't wait for my graduation next week. :) Ooh, I love that brand! I always find myself browsing Oasis, when I see it in Copenhagen, but I never bought any of it. Thanks. :) Is there a Forever 21 in Denmark, or what do you mean? :surprised: Thanks, Antonia. :) I'm going to be the outsider here and say I like the first dress the most too. :uhoh: After that it's the third, blue, one. :)
  20. Hmm... I will try to vote every 15 minutes until I go to bed. ;) Edit: Maybe my eyes fail me, I thought Crowe was leading a minute ago. You're not alone. :sweatdrop:
  21. Thank you. :nice: I hope you're right!
  22. I ordered this dress for my graduation pictures: SO cute! :wideeyed: psst... where did you find it? :) Cute! :nice: Ooh, I like what you ordered - especially the skyline top. :) Did you order it from the American Forever 21 site? Isn't that going to be expensive with extra taxes? Please let me know when you receive it at least.
  23. I like nerds. (Or did you know that about me? ) Hope you're okay. :) Me too. :wacky:
  24. Was it anyone in the Chris thread who changed it? I sure don't hope so. :( I had no idea it was your banner, so whatever I said about the owner of it, I didn't mean personally and changed my views when I saw it was fake, anyway. It's a great banner! Yay! :nice:
  25. You're really good, Jack! :nice: I like your voice for Coldplay songs. I'm envious of your piano skills - how long have you played? I never got that good in my 5 years of playing keyboard... I hope to see you post more on Coldplaying.
