Post pictures of the gorgeous Chris
I have been voting too! *raises fist* I am just disgusted at this unfairness! If anyone's going to beat Chris, it ought to at least be someone COOL. Nice to see Guy moving up but Chrrrrriiiiis where did you go? perhaps he and Thom are off having tea at the bottom of the list and laughing about how the really talented and sexy guys have to get bumped off the list by cheating HACKERS, lest they take over the world with their awesomness. I think I have too big an imagination.

^^You're a sweetie... and your siggie always makes me smile :D I can't believe Chris' rating going down! He disappeared off the list... so did Thom Yorke. They were pretty close right before all of this intrigue started. What I want to know is who Mark Ronson is and why people give him a good rating!?!? One of those guys in the top three is really cute- I think he was number 2... never heard of him before. But still! he does NOT beat Chris!

I don't know what people were saying about Chris looking bad the other day at that award show... GAH!!! OMG!!! I have to admit to being over the moon about the beard! It looks fantastic, and his curls are back. :D In fact, when I saw the beard, my mouth fell open and I sat a while silently. My sister leaned over, saw it and even SHE said, "Hmmmm... that's a good look. Can't help appreciating a good man with a beard..." i don't usually even like facial hair that much but CHRIS! You just do it for me everytime :D Love all you fellow crazy Chris-lovers!!! *hugs*

Gwyneth...
I also loved that look! Actually, I loved pretty much all of her "Iron Man" looks... I remember when the pictures started pouring in and I was impressed with each one... and her shoes! No, i could never wear them, but some of them were DARN cute! And her hair... gah, I love her hair :D I have only good things to say about all of those looks, even the pantsuit/necklace one she did. I thought that was pretty cool, actually, and very different.

Radiohead
Yeah, my siblings are broken into two categories... the two that like Radiohead... and the three that despise Radiohead. hahaha. Kids probably would miss most of the meaning of the songs at this point anyway lol

Andrew Bird
My friend just got me into Andrew Bird and I'm just STUNNED at how fascinating and fun his music is... "Noble Beast" is a fantastic album. "Fitz and Dizzy Spells" especially makes me dance... he's great! Awesome to see people on here talking about him!

The Funniest things your parents/family ever did/say about Coldplay
My dad saw some of Coldplay's Live 2003 DVD and he said, "I feel bad for that poor guy. He must have been picked on in his life... he's really goofy looking isn't he?" About Chris, I mean. I decided not to fill him in on how many of us think Chris is sexy :D

Briggins random list: Top 10 songs that are 7+ mins. long
My all time favorite song over 7 minutes long is: David Gray: Say Hello, Wave Goodbye (from "White Ladder") then: Everything's Not Lost by Coldplay They Dance Alone by Sting When Angels Fall by Sting Appalachian Springs by the Verve most of my favorite songs are on the longer side, 5-6 1/2 minutes... but I never realized just how few of them are over 7 mins! If this had been a six minute thread, my list would have been MUCH longer. Cool thread!

The Thom Yorke Thread
WOW... I agree about Cymbal Rush! I have been listening to it over and over... I much prefer it like that. It's very gentle and melancholy, very beautiful. WOW! Does anyone have the audio only of that performance? I would certainly pay you back in tons of cyber hugs and thank yous to the sky! it's just beautiful.

The Thom Yorke Thread
Thank you Radiomad (I love your avy by the way). I will try looking it up on youtube. :D I'm still a newbie... only been tuned in for a few months, so forgive my ignorance. I have a very very far reaching net of music, so it sometimes takes me a lot longer to find certain bands/artists. Usually when I find one i really like, though, I'm able to focus in a bit more. So THANK YOU

Kaiser Chiefs
I love the Kaiser Chiefs! they have such a cool way of combining snarky social commentary with nonsense songs and fun beats... they are brilliant and tons of fun to listen to. Each of their albums has a very different mood and feel to it... I love that their latest one has so many dance-y songs and boy were they ever right about "if it's a waste of brains, you've got to do it, if it's a waste of money, you've got to have it." Great, great band.

Just out of curiousity, as I've never heard it, where did you hear the live version of that song, Letdown?

The Offical "The Killers" Thread
We popped this CD into the disc changer at work (I worked in a music store), and I was instantly taken by a few of the songs, specifically "This Is the World We Live In" and "Joyride." Those songs made me dance and called to mind the glam era of music and all kinds of fun. I really enjoyed listening to it a lot and ended up buying it because it's fun dancing/good mood music. That being said, I admit red-faced that I'd not been familiar with the Killers from before, except for their "Bones" song (more so because the video was fantastic). Probably if I knew them from before, I would agree more with you guys on the quality of it, but as an introduction to them, I found it to be fun dancing music, light, energetic. But that's just me :D

that's fantastic!! I noted some Verve songs in there... I love the Verve also :D

the Grammys this year should prove to be very very interesting... and hopefully good!

The Thom Yorke Thread
I have to agree... sometimes strange things that happen to a person make them even more perfect for what they'll become... look at David Bowie! His eyes appear to be different colors because one is always more dialated than the other. It's part of what makes him awesome... at least to me anyway :D

Coldplay's Booking Agent For Girls Aloud: Gwyneth Paltrow!
Truer words, I think, have never been spoken! :laugh3:

Radiohead
WOW! That man seriously needs to get a hobby... hehe. Thanks for sharing that though, Loud Meditation. People amaze me sometimes. I've had horrid health over the last two months and would just be happy to be healthy. Some people have great health and they waste it on getting on boards of people they hate and posting idiotic statements. Whaaaa?? Silly. Well, anyway though, those new kitty/Thom pictures are fantastic :D Thom just looks fluffier and cuter everytime I see him LOL

The Official "Flight Of The Conchords" Thread
I absolutely love that show!! My friend kept telling me about it and then I met another friend who owned it, so he lent it to me. I never laughed so hard at a TV show before. It's fantastic, fantastic. I can't wait for a new season! My favorite episode is the one where they get mugged by the two tough guys. AMAZING!
