Even if you couldn't barely hear them sing, everyone was clapping, and singing! It was spontaneous, it felt like buskers in the streets...surreal! -Shut your eyes - Snow Patrol @Paris: the crowd started to sing the 'shut your eyes and sing to me' before Gary asked for it...he couldn't do it for a few minutes, we were keeping goin on and on at his place XD He said it was the first time he saw the crowd anticipating the thing like that!! -Time to pretend - Paolo Nutini @Paris: AMAZING! The man was possessed by the song! -Boy Lilikoy - Jonsi @Paris: it was just surreal. He did the all show in accoustic cause his gear was held up at the border patrol. Magical and even more powerful. -
  3. They don't look alike.... :inquisitive: or you have to be drunk to think so  It's like the time where Chris' brother was with Gwyneth and was mistaken for Gary Lightbody... EPIC FAIL!!!
  4. :laugh3: I get what you're saying. The energy is different for sure but I've never been 'sleepy' listening to them...but maybe because gL's voice is a warm blanket to me so I feel confortable 'sleeping' with them playing in my ear

:stunned: poor girl!!!! I can't even begin to imagine how Mika must feel...He loves his sisters so much and if he was with her as reported, he must be devastated.... Wish all the family my best!!
  6. I think that Jonny must have handle the thing with his usual self-control and coolness...Tom could have laugh hard, as well as Pablo and Nathan, well a mix between Jonny's self-control and Gary's freak out XD Live from Copenhagen in 2009 @Vega theater in streaming. Contains great show, funny banters, Richard & Troy <3, forgotten lyrics and a great blue t-shirt <3... http://www.vegaplayer.dk/index.jsp?id=940538AA-8954-6D58-EBB9-89A792FC1C4E Enjoy!
  7. +1000000000000 I was a 'casual' fan of them before seing them live and it change drasticly to 'hardcore' after seing them. Never seen a band so bloody happy to be there for you and so eager to share a special moment with you, to make you participate....You really feel that you're not just 'another gig' on their list. The songs takes another dimensions and thanks to Gary's funny banters, you also have a comical act :laugh3: I'll add Florence+The Machine on that list, you can really 'understand' her music after seeing her live. AMAZING!
  8. Grace - Jeff Buckley
  9. +100000000 Yeah, but I think that TP is more of a recreation, so it doesn't really apply to his 'rule'... in the 'artist of century' Q issue,Gary was saying he had calm down and the journalist asked 'so no more 3 days bender?', to what gL laughed and said 'maybe I haven't grown up so much...' :P Here I'm a landslide in NY (the sound is crappy when they play :/) BUT there is a funny banter at the end (from 5min45) where you can see an ass shaking dancing Gary.. :laugh3: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WPxdgEeE40]YouTube - Tired Pony - I am a Landslide (Live in New York)[/ame]
  10. +1000000000000000000000 Maybe songs about all the evil creatures they'll meet in the desert?!!! My crack-up line is this one: The 'small evil spirit' is the best part.... :laugh3: I totally picture him saying that 'oh yeah'... Here a little vid where he talks about the bat incident (and he didn't keep his promise to put the bat video on the site :whip: bad Gary, very baaaad!!) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yV3c3XPMh4o]YouTube - Gary Lightbody discusses bats[/ame] :laugh3:
  11. Here a a lot of KOL snippet on their channel where they're doing a track by track review ^_______^ (go to YT and click on vids on the right, there is 7 parts) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NXcWzkB-Ps&playnext=1&videos=UiFnI3irxXw&feature=mfu_in_order]YouTube - The Come Around Sundown Interviews - Part 1[/ame] It's nice to have their feedback and little stories about the tracks and recording process, I like that a LOT!! (but man, where have they been hanging out to be that red  )
  12. Gary ITV for Tired Pony but he speaks about the next SP record and his column in Q. http://www.shockhound.com/features/1445-tired-pony--snow-patrol---rem---spontaneous-fun-r-e-m-?PID=3662453 :awesome:  I love Paolo so this version is great for me  OMG... :stunned:  ....he should ask for copyright infrigment  same here! I hope the place will give them inspiration but I don't want them to make songs that sounds like U2 though...I want pure SP style! But America seems to bring Gary's best lyrics out of him (TP ones are gorgeous) so I hope that the Joshua Tree & california will do the same!
  13. Great gL ITV! http://www.shockhound.com/features/1445-tired-pony--snow-patrol---rem---spontaneous-fun-r-e-m-?PID=3662453 HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! There's only one 'creak on the floorboards", that they wrote the morning of the show. I'm sure he missed his Nathan  I've missed those two too! He said he hadn't completely give up the drinking so on special events like that, it's pretty normal he go back to 'party mode'....as long as he doesn't fall on stairs breaking his jaw, I'm fine with it... I love them together, there is such a complicity between them....it's adorable!! I would love to see hom DJing... :laugh3:
  14. Sigur Ros (already saw Jonsi, but I want them all!) Kings of Leon Keziah Jones Elbow The Swell season Mew Gossip Apparatjik RHCP Tori Amos Bands I need a time machine to see JEFF BUCKLEY :bomb: The Beatles The Smiths
  15. NEWS ON THE RECORDING SESSION!! A few fans saw Pablo after the Tired Pony show in LA and asked him about the recording...here what Paul said: :awesome: they're going to go where U2 wrote the Joshua Tree (best of their album IMO)!!!! I have a good feeling about this next record...!! But a desert means snakes, scorpions and other terrifying deadly animals....will Gary be able to handle that?!! Let's hope we'll have good new 'horror' stories
  16. Another vid from NY...with some gL usual mess up...(f*ck fest from 39sec->1min20..lol) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP5WQeL_3SA]YouTube - Tired Pony - Point Me At Lost Islands (Gary messing up a bit) NYC 10.01.10[/ame] I really wonder if one day they'll manage to play this song without messing it XD and I'll carry you+banter in NYC [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30IT3m2EhyQ]YouTube - Tired Pony @ Irving Plaza (4/12)[/ame] :bomb:
  17. +10000000000 Plus, you can really 'judge' a band by seeing them live. Some will disapoint you (musically speaking), some will blow your mind. A live is a good 'barometer' IMO.
  18. +1 I fully intend to rock on in a walker when I'm 80
  19. I buy CDs of bands I really like and for who I know I will play in my hi-fi a lot. As for gigs, I go when I can for artists I really care about.
