  1. Received my wristband today. Cloth wristbands seem to be all the rage these days. Also, Friday single-day passes have now sold out for those who were dumb enough to wait this long.
  2. I smiled and muttered "Hey" a few times to Mark as he walked by both inside and outside the venue, but he seemed really shy. Dom was constantly mobbed and Jason was really talkative with everyone, but Mark seemed to want to keep a low profile. Dom pics? UGH FINE. I'll fix the red eye another time. I usually don't use flash but the lighting in there was seriously inadequate.
  3. Party time. As long as it sucks less than Every Teardrop. :P
  4. No, I mean Spanish Rain by Coldplay. It's also been called "Don Quixote".
  5. You have to admit - it sounds less like the same Springsteen song than Spanish Rain did.
  6. Awesome, man. I think you used less vocal effects than Chris did.
  7. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA nice find :awesome: That's the 2nd Dom pic by an anonymous stranger that I've been spotted in. :laugh3:
  8. According to one of the questions my friend asked him, you might get Dead Star at Leeds. You can't complain about anything in your life if you get Dead Star. :P
  9. Okay guys, it's Dom story time: I was on my way to the venue when I got a call from a friend who was already at the venue. She had already caught up with Dom and talked with him for over 5 minutes, so I was really disappointed that I had just missed him since I was about 15 minutes from the venue at the time. So I was a little mopey when I got there. So I just talked with friends for a bit beforehand and they started lining up people a few minutes before doors. I'm toward the front of the line, then suddenly the door creaks open and I see the backside of who I'm positive is Dom walking the other direction. After hesitating for a few seconds, I decide to bolt from the line and completely lose my spot in order to creep behind Dom. A couple other fans caught up with him from the other side who luckily stalled him for me. I asked him to sign Absolution and take a picture with me, which he kindly agreed to, although I had to beg for my sharpie back since he was using it to sign like 10 other people's items. (Yes, my sharpie is now infamously smeared with Dom germs.) I got a quick few words in with him about how I'm looking forward to the show and the upcoming festivals, to which he mostly replied "Yeah, yeah, cheers, yeah, cheers, cheers". I got back in line eventually because other fans were bombarding him, having completely lost my spot near the front, but totally worth it, especially since much of my time inside was spent in the lounge. Talked with some fellow Musers, then chilled around for Support Act 1 (awesome, chill band) and Support Act 2 (crappy generic rock), then finally Vicky Cryer, who, quite honestly, were a bit of a disappointment. Other than taking pics of Dom, I was not really enthralled by their set. We waited around over an hour afterwards thanking the band members anyway as they crept out to their afterparty. Dom was the last one out, so I got one quick final word with him at like 1:30am, which consisted of me calling him a cheater for using the main Muse Twitter, then repeating that I'll see him at the festivals. I could have gone to the afterparty (manager gave us the exact location) but I was really tired and I'd already accomplished what I had set out to do anyway. I'll post my other Dom pics soon enough. :)
  10. No, I didn't meet anyone cool tonight, why would you think I did?
  11. Hello Muse thread. I'll try to have something more meaningful for you tomorrow, because I can't think of anything for today other than 15 DAYS TIL MUSE!
  12. *high-fives fellow Lumix owner* I love this thing. It's no DSLR, but I've gotten better results with it than fellow point-and-shoot counterparts. And I've never had a single venue in LA turn it away.
  13. I beat everyone to the "Bing for Absolution" and "Bing corruption" punchlines. Twitter search it if you don't believe me. :dozey:
  14. Me neither. It's definitely made for a live setting. Don't know why they've completely stopped playing PDA.
  15. While I likely would have paid whatever price I needed to had I actually been home in LA this day, $160 for seats that aren't even the best in the house is an outright scam. I tried for fun just now and pulled up Section 201 Row 4, so singles are definitely easiest to pull up. Each presale code probably gives access to a different lot of tickets. I pull up a different seat each time with TEARDROP, but MAJORMINUS returns zero results whatsoever.
  16. Nice pics! Way better than mine. ACL stage for Arcade Fire looks to feature a fantastic run of BSS into Fleet Foxes into AF. Damn, I wish I was going to that. I have my money on The Decemberists leading into AF at Outside Lands, which I will be going to.
  17. Yeah, if ETIAW is any indication, I can be a snob and use "I saw Coldplay in their prime" as an excuse for not going. :laugh3:
  18. Yeah, I take comfort in knowing Coldplay will play ten billion arenas next year. Probably 3 or 4 in SoCal alone. :laugh3:
  19. I'M UPSET GUYZZZZ. :bigcry: I'll be at Lollapalooza. I'm missing Coldplay to see Muse. Coldplay announced a Los Angeles show for Aug 3rd. I live in Los Angeles. I'm flying out August 3rd in order to be in Chicago for Lollapalooza. Coldplay section people don't understand why I wouldn't see Coldplay at Lolla if I'll already be there. P.S. 18 days til Muse.
  20. Because, like I said, I'll be seeing Muse on a different stage at the same time. If it was virtually any other band (1 or 2 exceptions), mind you, I'd take Coldplay in a heartbeat.
  21. I'll be at Lollapalooza. I'm missing Coldplay to see Muse. I live in Los Angeles. I'm flying out August 3rd in order to be in Chicago for Lollapalooza. F*** EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING.
  22. If Coldplay wanted to ensure no future lawsuits, they should sue themselves for self-plagiarism on "Speed of Sound" so that everyone will just think they're crackpots. :P
  23. Corkus replied to TheSkittz's topic in Coldplay
Trouble is better than Shiver. In fact, several songs on Parachutes are better than Shiver. But I still like Shiver a lot, more than at least half of Coldplay's songs, including the vast majority of Viva-onwards. And seeing as how Shiver was absent from the Viva tour aside from the acoustic set in Latin America, it's certainly welcome.
  24. I don't pronounce Gerard's Way at all. In fact, I just choose to forget MCR exists.
  25. I hate Yes. I guess we can't be friends anymore.
