Miraculously managed an Elbow pit ticket for a venue of 5,500 that has a pit capacity of no more than 150 (was in that same pit the other day for Florence and the Machine, and that pit was TINY). $55 kinda ticks me off since most artists that perform there don't charge more than $30, but whatever. Roll on, October.
  2. I'm going to the Saturday show, and yes, my dad finally found the tickets he lost. It's gonna be super weird because it's the first concert I'm going to with my family in like...at least 10 years. :laugh3:
  3. Florence. Colbert Report. Next Tuesday. YES YES YES.
  4. Double A-sides being released months before an LP release is nothing new, guys. I remember there was speculation over whether "Month of May" would be on The Suburbs because this same discussion and scenario happened. And hey, if it IS a B-side, it wouldn't be the first time in Coldplay history that a B-side exceeds actual album material. *glances at Gravity and others*
  5. Yeah, I have to make my case for "Biggest Florence Welch Fanboy" before 2011 Coldplaying awards roll around. :laugh3: Also, the new song I posted is titled "Bedroom Hymns". Flo's tour account tweeted that name earlier today. :)
  6. REIGN OF LOLLA COLDPLAYING MEMBER CHICAGO 2011 Or, ya know, just stick with one of the perfectly fine non-pun options others have provided. :P
  7. Red dress is pretty and all, but the yellow dress was probably easier to see through. ;):laugh3: Seriously, that thing was very transparent.
  8. ANOTHER new song was debuted last night at LA Night 2. I went to Night 1. Typical. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWud7ODGhvs]YouTube - ‪Florence and the Machine debut new song in L.A.‬‏[/ame] Sounds awesome, though I think I prefer "What the Water Gave Me". :) I wanted to brag about hearing the debut of a new song. Curses. Oh wait...yes I can. Because this was soundchecked (though without vocals) before Night 1. :laugh3:
  9. Yeah, she sang "What the Water Gave Me", and then obviously "Strangeness and Charm".
  10. Okay guys, it's pic spam time. Blurriness on some of them thanks to A) my general excitement, B) Flo is pretty animated on stage.
  11. I'm tired so I'll share pics tomorrow, but basically, I was center barrier 3 feet in front of her all night. Her yellow dress was amazing. Also, she's flawless and amazing and beautiful, but you knew that already.
  12. So...uh...I had eyesex with Flo tonight. Eyesex with anyone else is officially ruined forever.
  13. If this is my last post ever on this forum, it's because I died in the presence of a goddess. Just sayin'.
  14. Friendly Fires last week, Florence and the Machine TONIGHT, then U2 this weekend. It's my big concert week sandwiched between lengthy of weeks of nothing but work.

Foo Fighters announced LA shows in October this morning and I was questioning whether I wanted to go. Then Elbow announced a show two hours later, and I was like "Screw FF, I'll see Elbow instead." :D Need to hunt down someone to go with.
  16. Good job, Mavs. 41 years and you finally got it. Congrats. Also, good job to LeBron for being a little sissy AGAIN after elimination while his teammates congratulated the victors. I hope he never wins a championship, or at least doesn't win one until he learns some class.
  17. Haha maybe, but doubt it, because I'm easier to please than a lot of Musers who just bitch and bitch and bitch no matter what happens. There are Reading/Leeds people who are whining because Russia got "Megalomania", which apparently makes Reading/Leeds "less special". That makes me sick. Not only is it incredibly selfish, but people have been clamoring for more older songs, so it's hypocritical. I'LL FREESTYLE IT DAMMIT. :P
  18. Okay good, now I can easily identify you guys at the festival, then start crying in front of you because I'll be at a different stage. I'm not going to actually get over this until the next time I see Coldplay. Which will probably be 2012. :bomb:
  19. Haha, I wouldn't know. I've never done anything gothic. :laugh3:
  20. Was thinking flames and lightning clouds with the lyrics written in a gothic style. I can't draw people for the life of me. Open for (simple) suggestions, of course. :)
  21. Patrick said something about how he "really enjoyed Madonna's performance last night" the day after Lady Gaga sang at an awards show, which led to Ke$ha jokingly insulting him for it (believe it or not, he and Ke$ha get along great), which led to all of Gaga's fans seeing Patrick's tweets and sending him hoards of hate messages. Patrick, being the badass he is, decides to retweet every bit of vile and vulgar hate mail that gets sent his way. He added fuel to the fire by saying things like "Your little monsters aren't very tolerant of me, which seems hypocritical since you preach tolerance." It's over now, but it was funny as hell during the few days it lasted.
  22. I was resentful over that one. :laugh3: Not saying that South Americans don't deserve it, but the majority of a U2 crowd has probably heard little to no Muse before. So I bought 3 plain shirts just now, one for each festival I'm going to. Each one is getting a unique artistic design based on a particular song, even though I use the term "artistic" in the loosest possible manner. Going with B&H for Lolla, Apocalypse Please for LA Rising, and haven't decided upon one for OSL, but I'm thinking Space Dementia.
  23. Ah, The Black Keys. Had trouble getting into them at first and wasn't fully convinced until I finally caught one of their live sets. Awesome stuff. Patrick Carney vs. Lady Gaga's fans has been an extremely entertaining Twitter feud over the last week.
  24. As the least artistic person in the universe, I'm going to attempt to make myself a special shirt for the summer festivals that involves painting a giant hurricane and then painting a spiral of butterflies coming out of it. It's going to look so awful. :laugh3:
  25. That setlist is actually missing one song (and I'm not counting "The Suburbs (Continued)"). Won't spoil what it is, but I have a friend who went. And yeah, I'm all for watching the webcast with you guys, even if I've been told the setlist already. Just don't expect giant LED balls. ;)
