You guys won't be that bored. For those of you chilling at Coldplay's stage all day, you're in for some phenomenal bands leading up to them, all of whom I'd see any other day. Bright Eyes, The Kills, and Young the Giant are all awesome (seen Bright Eyes once, seeing The Kills in September). Unfamiliar with Grace Potter, though.

That might be the first time someone's ever complimented my accent, and I've met several Europeans in my lifetime. :laugh3: I get told that I don't speak like a normal Californian and sound like someone from up north. I'm sorry I don't use surfer lingo. :rolleyes: Also, I have over 10 more posters on the other walls in my room. 3 Muse ones total.

Lollapalooza is basically the closest thing, although as of this morning, Coldplay is suddenly out of the picture for me. Lame. Otherwise I would have impersonated Roadie #43 on barrier for you guys. Maybe a big string of gigs will pop up during next year's tour and people from around the country can meet up for a series of those. :)

Personally, I'd go with BBC. I love The Killers, but Brandon Flowers' solo set is seriously boring live. The best songs are Killers covers, though it's not the same without the rest of the band. Coldplay will tour non-stop next year, I'm confident. They'll play AT LEAST two arena shows near me. Probably three. Muse will be back in the studios.

Both are awesome live, but you know what? Muse will be back in the studios next year while Coldplay will embark on a massive world tour, playing every damn arena and several stadiums. If I miss them this year, I'll probably end up seeing them multiple times next year.

You can go to the will call office the day before and pick up your wristband before. Will save you some pain the day of the festival. :) (This is exactly why I specified to have the wristband shipped to me directly instead) Still massively disappointed. Coldplay is my 2nd favorite arena act (and still one of my favorite overall live acts no matter how much I've mocked them lately). I'll let you guess who's 1st. :dozey:

I've never been up front for Coldplay. Guess that isn't changing this year, but you'll still have a great time. I've been in the middle for previous Coldplay concerts and still had a blast. Guess I should change my signature? :(

Coldplay and Muse are playing opposite each other at Lollapalooza. Same time, same day, different stage. I just wanted to let you guys know that: A) I had a sobbing fit until a few minutes ago. B) I want to repeatedly punch the schedule organizers not just in their faces, but EVERYWHERE. C) I'm choosing Muse. :D

Fully detailed schedule should be up once single-day passes go on sale later today. Possibly in 20 minutes but not positive. That should help you plan your weekends. :) Guess you guys will have to wait for a different year to hear Roadie #43 crack bad jokes in person. :cry::bigcry::bigcry:

Exactly, which is why throwing Eminem against one of the rock headliners would have made perfect sense. Coldplay was ideal for Saturday. Muse and Eminem are required to play their respective days because they have other festivals to attend on other days, but Coldplay has nothing else to play. I expect Muse to draw numerous Coldplay fans away, and Coldplay will probably do the same with Muse fans. UGH. Plus side is it will make both barriers less competitive.

THIS DAY SUCKS SO MUCH.

Also, surprised by how many names here I remember from past blogs even though I've talked to none of you in ages. :laugh3: Some of you are newer to this whole this, so just as a heads-up, we're kinda crazy. The thread goes on to a new page every minute or faster.

HEY GUYS. :D I haven't been that active in the Coldplay section since the Viva tour ended, but these blogs were always a fun time-waster, especially when it came to spamming Anchorman/special guests with questions (hope he does it again). This should be taking place in the morning in my time zone, which works well since I don't work until the evening.
