Funny you bumped this. Finally took the plunge and bought Hollywood Bowl tickets yesterday (they'd been on sale for a month). Bring on September. :cool:

Arctic Monkeys are the main stage lead-in for Foo Fighters at Lolla. SEXY. Will easily make up for the fact that I drove by the Hollywood Palladium a few days ago and saw "ARCTIC MONKEYS TONIGHT - SOLD OUT" and got super depressed. (was driving by there because I was on a business run) I usually don't comment on Pitchfork scores (because I think they're worthless) but they just reviewed Suck It and See, and I think it's incredibly interesting that in spite of fan opinion being incredibly split these last two albums, all 4 Arctic Monkeys albums have gotten extremely similar scores from Pitchfork (7.4, 7.4, 7.2, now 7.5)

That one was actually a real letdown for me, and this is coming from someone who even loved Narrow Stairs, which caused some divisive opinions. :\ Still need to catch them live, though. Loved them for so many years and never actually seen them. Just getting into them! They're starting the main stage at Lolla so I sorta have to. :P That's one I still have to delve into, but heard nothing but good things. :awesome:

So, uh, any NON-Coldplay music that you guys have really gotten into lately? I know I'm talking about it all the time with people in WoM, but many of you I mainly see in the Coldplay section.

I just found out at almost midnight last night that I'm spontaneously seeing Friendly Fires on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. MUST. BEGIN. LISTENING. RAMPAGE. Downloaded Pala. Giving that a whirl first.

I ran out of vodka last night. Was so pissed off. Then I woke up this morning and saw the things I tweeted, which made me realize that maybe being forced to stop right there was a blessing in disguise. :laugh3: Did it for Matt's birthday, BTW. BTW, I'm going to say this right now - This photoblog will probably depress me greatly. I still haven't gotten over the Muse/Coldplay conflict sting at Lolla, and I'll probably be upset until festival day. UGH. The idea that you're seeing Coldplay in a couple months only to have it stripped from you that quickly is incredibly depressing. (and no, I won't cross over to see Coldplay instead, because I've been planning Muse with close friends since last year)

Shoutout might be easier. The reason Coldplaying has gotten picture shoutouts is that there's such a big group of us and we're notoriously annoying. :P

Flo is amazing live. Saw her once last year and fell in love. You can almost say I fell a little too in love. :P *points to avatar* I'm on a Mac too, but I'm not going to spend time refreshing. Instead I'll just wait for you guys to tell me when updates actually occur. :lol:

Funny you said that. I just stepped outside for a few minutes to call in for tickets to a private Flo show. Didn't win, but I'll see her Monday anyway.

After a really late night (partially thanks to work), I'm up oddly early for no reason, living off no more than 5 hours of sleep, probably less. Why exactly? Photoblog gives me an excuse, but I actually didn't intend on being up now by any means. Whatever. Ready for this thing to take off! :D

Their one upcoming show is at Outside Lands in San Francisco, which I happen to be going to. Never seen MGMT live before, but have heard some really mixed things about their live show. We'll see! :)

Did you record the Exo cover second? Because it sounds better. You were probably more comfortable. I want to hear Micro Cuts live one day, for one reason and one reason only. That reason being that listening to the crowd around me attempting to sing it would be FUNNY. AS. HELL. Only listened to the Blackout cover so far, but it's convinced me that this entire thread needs to gather for Skype singalongs. I do it sometimes with my friends from .mu and we're just ridiculous. Personally, I sound terrible (especially when attempting to belt the Citizen Erased chorus in the car), but it's funny when you have other people. Of course, Violet actually sounds decent and will mock the rest of us. :laugh3: Or we don't have to sing at all. But I think a Skype group for Coldplaying Musers could be fun. Any interest? Will listen to Exo now. :)

I hope Will's vocals make it into the studio version. Yes, they did that with The Goldrush, but that was a B-side and there was some sloppiness to it. But Will sounds far better suited here.
