Heh, sorry for not following this closely since I last posted (I read your PM, though) but it sounds like you have some stellar ideas brewing. The fact that you already have the first "episode" in-progress is quite awesome, and once we have that up, we can decide what works, what doesn't work, and what we can do to spice it up for each show. It also looks like you have a nice group of technical gurus to make everything function properly, so while that may not be my area of expertise, I'm still willing to partake in the discussions once you get this thing off the ground. Sounds very promising! :) It's probably to early to create an additional sub-forum for CTV, but just as a suggestion to the staff, I think that creating one for feedback and suggestions might be a good idea to foster even further involvement once we finally have a few episodes put out, especially for those members who may be a little camera-shy but still want to contribute. In fact, a segment where you read fan messages posted here on the forum might be a really good idea for those who either don't have access to a mic or camera or just don't want to be heard/seen on the show.

Metric
Okay, it's working now, but only for U.S. users. I have no idea why they wouldn't yet release it in Canada of all places, but I'm sure you guys (and everyone else in the world) will get it soon enough. iTunes tends to be really inconsistent with releasing exclusive content internationally. (for instance, it took us like 2 extra months to get the Stars iTunes live session) I hate to tease, but these reworkings sound fantastic. A lot of them incorporate some extended tricks from their live versions (Twilight Galaxy, Empty), but a couple are totally redone (Gimme Sympathy). Hope you guys can listen to them soon.

Do you use any other fan sites?
Not for Coldplay, but I do post on a few fansites for other bands. And then I have accounts for like a dozen other fansites that I've never posted on. :P

Florence + The Machine
Why the hell was I captivated by that for a good 40 seconds? LOL. With all the fangirling that goes on all over this board, I think it's time I help balance things out. :laugh3: Yes, it's definitely a lovely video, though I may be biased because I live in the LA area. Lots of really cute moments.

Metric
So yeah, it's out, but I'd advise against downloading it at this moment. Help I'm Alive and Hustle Rose aren't working properly (they're instead repeated tracks of others on the EP instead). Give iTunes time to sort it out. Other songs sound awesome, though. They're completely reworked versions.

Florence + The Machine
Yes, that's the one! The rabbit one is a little too...pink for my tastes, so I went for the moon one. The calendar sounds awesome. I wonder what pictures are used for it?

Florence + The Machine
^ Hmm...I've heard several unreleased tracks but I haven't heard that one. Not really a fan of it, though. Got my Flo poster in the mail about a week ago and it looks quite lovely hanging up above my desk. Oh, and just so everyone knows, 2011 is the year I'm hell-bent on making myself the board's biggest Florence Fanboy. :P:heart::blush:

Tron Legacy
Though I love the original Tron, hardly anyone I've talked to has seen it, so I'm not sure how much newcomers have gotten out of Legacy. Personally, I thought it was decent at best. After seeing a bunch of 3-D movies that looked absolutely awful in 3-D, it was nice to see it done properly for a change. Plot...eh, I think the problem with the plot is that it just wasn't interesting. I honestly didn't have any problems with the characters or casting, and Jeff Bridges is always fantastic. But there was a lot of dull build-up to a less-than-stellar conclusion. In the end, though, there have been far worse franchise revivals. Not really a loyal Daft Punk fan or anything, but I thought the soundtrack was one of the highlights of the movie. But I don't think it should be a substitution for a proper album.

'Hasta la vista' for California Governor Schwarzenegger
Actually, his term is up, so it's not a resignation. He only served 7 years instead of 8 because he finished off Gray Davis's remaining 3 years after the recall election (and then was re-elected for Term 2). While I can't say I was a fan of many of Arnold's policies, Jerry Brown is looking dreadful.

That and Prospekt's March is sort of an LP4-era thing, so I have to party-poop on that idea, apologies. Aside from that, though, this sounds like a stellar idea. I know Coldplaying has had some ideas for fan-involved videos in the past but they never really panned out, so if we could get something like this off the ground, it could be a hit. I could help out as long as I don't have to do karaoke. :P I'm totally okay with my voice being heard (i.e. through a Skype call recording) but I'm gonna stop short of actually having my face seen. :/ As for further ideas? Umm...well, if we're doing this in a podcast-like fashion, we should probably start by gathering a group of individuals, or "hosts", who would be willing to recite the latest news and rumors just to get that kind of stuff out there, and then we could have further individuals chip in with their opinions and speculation. That was probably your idea, anyway, but since I personally deem myself as not being knowledgeable enough about Coldplay but still have passionate opinions, I probably wouldn't be one of your "hosts", so to speak. We could always mix things up with some fun things, too (maybe games? I dunno, I have no ideas for those). Honestly, I think one of the more difficult things is agreeing upon an appropriate time for everyone to participate, seeing as how Coldplaying consists of members worldwide. Meh, once we agree upon a medium for doing this (I'm on Skype all the time, for instance, but I don't believe I have the materials for recording), then we can sort those sorts of kinks out.

LP5 IS FINISHED!
Bingo. Even if the album is supposedly finished (and I'm not doubting the OP or Jonny), there are several hoops to go through before anything can be put out. And who's to say they can't still go back and refine stuff before then, even if they've finally decided on what's going on the album and what isn't?

is there actually someone who hasnt met Coldplay yet?
I've never met Coldplay. Quite frankly, I'm too afraid of catching their cooties.

2011: Your Most Anticipated Albums
Radiohead is a given, but then again, I also said that was one of my most anticipated of 2010. :P In terms of bands who are certainly releasing albums this year, I'm looking forward to Death Cab for Cutie, The Strokes, Coldplay, Bright Eyes, British Sea Power, and Elbow. Obviously I'm also looking forward to new material by Metric, Fleet Foxes, U2, Snow Patrol, etc., but upcoming album details are still vague with all of those.

Your Best Discovery of 2010!
I was completely unaware of Beach House prior to this year. Combined with having one of the best albums of the year, the band in general was a great discovery. I suppose I can count The National, since even though I had "Fake Empire" on my iTunes beforehand, I hadn't given the rest of their stuff a proper listen. New album gave me the shove I needed. In fact, there's quite a few bands who I only knew one song from before 2010 and gave them more of a listen this year, such as The Temper Trap and Mates of State. But if we're just counting outright new discoveries, then definitely Beach House. :)

What Was Your Biggest Disappointment of 2010?
While I'm not the biggest Sufjan listener in the world, I found quite a bit of enjoyment in Age of Adz. But I agree with you on Flamingo, which just felt lifeless throughout much of it. Not completely disposable, but I can't say I would be looking forward to another solo project of his. I was also let down by the Interpol album, which starts off with promise and a few good songs, then completely tanks by the latter half. It was better than Our Love to Admire, but I'm still holding out on an Interpol effort that's up to snuff with the first two. Night Train by Keane was an utter s***fest. It may be an EP, which is why I didn't hit the panic button, but I'd hate for them to continue down that track. Otherwise, a lot of good stuff this year. Even albums that I was originally lukewarm about (Stars, Vampire Weekend, etc.) grew on me immensely in the months after. And I still haven't given Congratulations a proper listen, believe it or not, but it seems like the epitome of a love-it-or-hate-it album.

Sleigh Bells: Treats or Crystal Castles: Crystal Castles (II)
While I'm not the biggest fan of either (not big on noise), something about Sleigh Bells rubs me the wrong way. I mean, "Rill Rill" is a good song and so are a few others, but overall, I find Crystal Castles to be less...irritating? I don't know if that's the right word, but my vote for Crystal Castles stands.
