  1. I'm sure we've all seen the video of A Beat for Peace with our very own Will Champion in it. But, do we know the efforts of the organization Sudan365? Here's a briefing: Sudan 365 was launched on 9 January 2010, 365 days from when a referendum is due to be held to determine the future of Sudan. The people of South Sudan will vote to decide whether they wish to remain part of a united Sudan or whether they want to become an independent country. We believe it should be a future in which human rights are guaranteed in an environment of peace, prosperity and harmony. Our fear is that it could be a future of conflict and suffering. The referendum is important as it was a key element of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. This agreement was signed in 2005, after more than twenty years of war. The war killed over 2 million people. It displaced over 4 million from their homes. It caused suffering, trauma and uncertainty for millions. The peace agreement heralded a brighter future. It promised deep reform and national elections. And it stated that in January 2011, there would be a referendum in the south. This would allow the South to decide its future through the ballot box - and not through the gun. With 365 days until the vote, much of the agreement has not been implemented. Tension between the North and South are growing. In 2009, over 2,500 people were killed. Over 350, 000 were displaced. In Darfur, following a conflict in which hundreds of thousands of civilians died, attacks against civilians continue and millions suffer daily in camps. After seven years of violence, a peace agreement still has not been reached. Many fear the situation will get worse. Unless we, and our governments, stand together with the people of Sudan and demand that conflict is prevented and that human rights are protected.. Join the global call for action. 2. I love TOMS Shoes. I think it's a good organization to be supporting! I mean, it's like a two for one deal - you buy a pair, you give a pair! Good deal!
  3. Yes, yes, yes! I love this documentary! And I love Sea Shepherd's versatility! I can admit though, this movie has made me cry on numerous occasions.
  4. Oh, it's been a wonderful season for them! I was very happy for Pete's release! He certainly a brave man and has done Sea Shepherd a ton of good! Oh, that would be awesome! You should definitely go down for the winter campaign and kick some whaling butt! At the moment, I'm trying to raise awareness for Sea Shepherd around the city I live in. Surprisingly, a lot of people do not yet know of the organization! We should definitely get together some time! Maybe we'll meet each other on a campaign in the future!
  5. It seems to be Yes for some reason at the moment.
  6. It may be the fact that your processor or system is not advanced enough to read the disk. May I ask what operating system your computer runs on? Also, I just found an interesting piece of information: For VAIO® computers, click here for additional information on locating the model name. ^Sony's official site states the above fact.
  7. It's pretty much the same thing with computer's and their computer batteries. After a certain date, the battery becomes useless. I would advise getting a replacing your battery. I do not own an iPod, but here goes a solution: take the battery out and feel it. If it feels swollen in any way, then you need a new battery. Hope this helps!
  8. I think he looks quite lovely with his hair kind of in between curly and short. Not too long and not too short.

  10. Sorry all! I will not be able to do Magical Mystery Tour. The reasons being are that I have some very extensive things for school that are due in November and I simply won't have the time to manage something like this. Also, as some of you may know, National Novel Writing Month is the month of November and most of my free-time will be caught up in writing! Sorry for the let down, but I figured I'd let you know ahead of time!
