  4. Parachute released their sophomore album this past Tuesday. I've been on the lookout for it.
  5. But your innocence is mine. :wink3: Guys, I have a confession to make. Yeah, Christina reminded me with her USoE comment. HAHA, Dom looks so awkward.
  6. Those shows. :stunned: SOMEONE. COME GET ME FROM AMERICA AND TAKE ME HOME WITH YOU. PLEASE.
  7. Yes, I remember you talking about it last year, Simon. Didn't it end up in your Top 25 albums list?
  8. Thank you. :nice: That's nice to hear. What does your friend do? I wouldn't say music is like math. It involves it to an extent, yes, but it's not really math based or even number based. (That is, unless you want to talk about 20th century music, which consists of things like set theory and twelve-tone music. That's kinda mathematical in construction.) It's nice to hear you like classical music. I wish more people did. Who would you say are some of the best bands to come out of your local community? I'm just curious.
  9. Damn. This one's hard to pick from. Also, I think I have a good idea who wrote Choice D. Haha.
  10. Actually, I still haven't checked out their latest album. I'm kinda afraid to after hearing "Na Na Na Na Na" (or however many "Na"s are in there). How is it?
  11. You know, somwhere in the muddled mess of text, you brought up something that I haven't thought of until now. I do have the fortunate honor of seeing performers in the classical world. I know, that doesn't really fit into the context of this thread, but it's something I can talk about. There are always tours of these artists-vocalists, pianists, etc.-that come here to perform for us, and we have our own performances within the School of Music that are put on, both by faculty and students. I've just started working on music for a senior recital that I'm having next fall (as is required for all music majors the semester before student teaching). Anyway, as far as that side of music goes, I get to see my fair share of people. There are even master classes that people hold beforehand. The horn studio has at least one or two during the year. Last semester, William Vermeulen (principal horn of the Houston Symphony Orchestra) came to SFA and played. OH MY GOD. He's a freak of nature. Anyway, enough about that. I'm probably the only person who cares about that sort of thing.

Things are pretty good, thanks. I've set some goals for myself to meet over the summer, so I'm pretty excited.
  13. ^ Creepy smiley is creepy. D: Hey, look, I brought the thread back on topic. WIN.

Hello there, Celien. I haven't spoken to you in a while. How have you been?
  15. Sorry, but I don't get it. Ohhh, OK.  Yeah, good ol' bias. :|
  16. Oh. OK. Sorry. :disappointed:
  17. I don't understand. :wtf: Nono, I'm not offended. I tried explaining to him all that science has brought, but he ignored that and tried to talk about all the bad things science has brought instead. I just gave up after a while. :| Really, I should have known something was going to happen like this today after a comment he made earlier. I had made a joke earlier, and somehow this led to him talking about how God was responsible for such and such and blah. You know, he used to not be like this. I miss how he was before he started going to college. </3
  18. ^^ Don't creep him out too much, Christina.

Awww, look at all the love in this thread.
  20. My brother won't stop. OMIGAWSH. Stop acting like you suddenly know everything about God and the world because you changed your major to Christian ministry. AAAAAAAHHHHH! I want to punch him, I swear...
  21. ^ Warpaint and Frightened Rabbit! :D I don't see how you did it with Joanna Newsom. Lord knows how I've tried, but I just can't do it.
  22. ^ That reminds me of last year's Homecoming bonfire parade that we have at my college every year. This one band played there, and they did a cover of one of The Beatles' songs. I don't really remember which one it was, but I remember that it was atrocious. You would have been very upset, Lore.
  23. ^ Is it bad that I would find that more interesting than anything? :|
