*lol* yes, indeed it is! that's a typo on my part :embarrassed: ...i'm sure Gary himself knows how it's spelt too. & good gawd! 2012! planning a wee bit too far ahead of ourselves aren't we, guys? :P

yeah, it was a funny banter moment too! but i doubt if anybody managed to record it, there's barely any videos of the Bristol gig of the Reworked Tour because the venue staff were REALLY strict about video recording! anyway, Gary was even saying (jokingly, i'm sure) that he felt like writing a song about Tierry Henry when someone shouted out that he knew the words to the song. Gary told the person he hasn't even written the song so it's amazing that he knows the words already! :laugh3:

well, i didn't really question that bio factoid about his football allegiance since he did go to uni in Dundee & Tom is a Dundee United fan too...so it kinda made sense to me. but having said that, there's an admin staff in my hall of residence who's a Liverpool fan even tho she's from Manchester & it's not like i'm from/in Manchester anyway. loved her "awww, you're killing me!" reaction when she asked me which team i support! :laugh4:

OMFG!!!!!!!!!! HE IS!!!!!!!!!!! SQUEEE!!!!!!!!!!! :stunned: ---> :D ---> :wacky: i'm SO smacking whoever it was who'd put on 1 of Gary's bio online that he's a Dundee United fan...unless he's changed allegiance over the years... that banter actually reminds me of how it is between me & one of my friends! he's a Liverpool fan & was my Physics lab partner in A-Levels so we'd always tease each other about Liverpool & Man United results when we were meant to be concentrating on our lab experiments... :laugh3: btw, this SO makes my day after the disappointment of Germany being outclassed by Spain in tonight's game. thank you! :D

daym right, Gary!!! Tim Tam Slams = BEST AUSSIE INVENTION EVER!!! :D (along with Minties, Caramelo Koala & Vegemite) i don't think he's a Man United fan...i remember that he's a Dundee United fan. his only link to Man United is Jonny Evans (re: his shout out to Evans at Ward Park for beating him to wearing the N. Ireland home kit). but he does love his football (+ pts there!!!)...he even made a dig at Henry for that ridiculous handball incident (cos it was the day after the France vs Ireland game where it happened) during the Bristol gig. :D ............tho if he seriously IS a Man United fan, i would be absolutely totally even more in love with him too!!! :wacky: ...as if i'm not already all fawny about him cos he's a Star Wars & comic book fan as it is!!! :wacky: btw... *high five* always great to meet/find a fellow Man United supporter! :D i have a feeling it's been dropped...shame, really. i'd have loved it to be a DVD, especially the RAH shows. :( *lol* i have the same glasses too...well, very similar design anyway. 'cept mine are Oakleys & are from the girls line. so highly doubt the one he has on are the same.

Doctor Who ???......
he is such a geek & a proper one at it too! he's also a big Star Wars fan & loves the original trilogy over the prequels...like any proper Star Wars fan should! haha ;)

it may not be likely...they've already cancelled the later show for the London gig. which has left me & a few others rather annoyed/pissed as we've now gone from having decent lower front (assigned) seats for the later show to upper (unassigned) seats for the first show...which is confusing also since it was supposed to be sold out in the 1st place all this while! :inquisitive: but oh well...just gotta live with it. :dozey:

QUESO I HAVE A BIT OF A SRS PROBLEMO
this is probably going to sound like a really weird solution, but it's a fairly effective method that we Asians use to rescue our beloved tech gadgets when they get accidentally dunked in water... leave the iPod in a pot/bowl of uncooked rice (yes, seriously...i'm not joking) Testimonial: Rice Resurrects Even the Most Soaked of Gadgets reason/logic: rice actually absorbs water very well, even in its uncooked state...hey, they do grow them in fields of water anyway. :p tho if your iPod's a real goner, then even the rice can't help. it's not a 100% sure fire solution, as amazing & non-invasive (on your gadget, i.e. warranty-wise) as it is.

Hello Malaysia!
*lol*...ermmm...thanks, Lyvie? :P Bunkface ish gooooood, imo. should support (good) local acts! :) i'm actually addicted to Through My Window & that cute TMnet ad...which i thought was a brilliantly executed ad campaign overall - starting with the song being anonymously sent to radio stations! genius! :D [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJVVCwbTNTs]Bunkface - Through My Window[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pkecGjG2x4&]Everyone Connects Through My Window featuring Bunkface![/ame]

hmmm...would've thought Starfighter Pilot's their first MV...seeing as Olive Grove's from/on their 2nd album. but excellent find! have never seen this one before! anyway, interesting note in the video's comments thingy: "Writer and vocalist Gary Lightbody indicated this is the best version that Snow Patrol have produced when he conceded the reworked version which featured on the "Up To Now" release was "Shamefully Self Indulgent.""

*lol* now what are the chances of that? :D which campus are you in? i was stuck out in "Moo Moo Land" (Gippsland) & here's the tee...as i said on my Flickr, this is the first & quite possibly the only tour tee i'll ever own with a reminder of the volcanic ash problem...makes it special this way. ;)

got to see Powderfinger live (supported by the entertaining Bob Evans) recently...absolutely awesome gig. shame it's both my first & last time seeing them + their first & last time playing in Bristol. :( can't believe that it was a good 10yrs ago that i first came to know about this band during my undergrad days in Melb & i'm only seeing them play live now when i'm all the way in UK doing my masters! :dozey: [ame=http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimchigang/sets/72157624239296424/show/]Powderfinger @ O2 Academy, Bristol[/ame] the mass singalong during My Happiness in particular was brilliant - video of it at the end of the slide :D shame they didn't play Passenger in the end, even with all the shouts for it from the (ironically, predominantly) Aussie crowd...

you can plan it... :wink3: @a-chan & muzika: that's odd that VLC Player's being cranky with that MKV file of Ward Park for you girls. runs fine on mine...is yours the latest version?

oooh! that torrent's video is frigging awesome quality! cheers for finding & posting it, muzika! :D @Dargarius: yeah, it's more on the support bands. tho i'm kinda hoping they'll show a bit of SP, particularly them playing Big Broken at least...

Kasabian
not sure if this has been posted so far, but Kasabian's in Carlsberg's "Team Talk" ad for the England team...just saw it this evening watching the Germany vs Australia game. :) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66OuJZGDCHE]Carlsberg Team Talk TV Ad[/ame] gotta be fast to catch Tom & Chris in the ad...& they've got Underdog playing in it too. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yi1kglILYrA]Carlsberg making of probably the best team talk in the world ad... [/ame] Tom appears a few times in the 'Making Of...' vid & there's Tom & Chris "cheering" like excited little kids at about 1:23... :D

Building A Computer
generally, the more RAM you have, the faster a software can run...that's the cheapest/easiest to future upgrade depending on your motherboard. & you should consider if you tend to multitask a lot on your computer as that can slow down something like Sims too. a dual core CPU would be better if you are deciding on whether to spend on CPU or RAM (1GB is the minimum standard these days) or Graphics Card. your budget seems fine if you're not after a top of the line system...BUT i don't know which part of the world you're in & how much computer parts cost for you. built mine for about US$1,000 (rough conversion) & i can play Call of Duty 4, Portal, Team Fortress 2 fine (as long as i'm not trying to go for max settings) considering the PC's innards are >3yrs old on average. the other thing i should mention is that these days, it isn't necessarily cheaper to build your own PC. frankly, i could've gotten a PC with similar specs for cheaper. but i still wanted to build my own PC just for the fun of it. What Operating System do you use?
Windows & secure don't quite go together... :P & i beg to differ...constant patches does not mean Vista is secure, especially compared to a mature product like Windows XP. if anything, it's a possible sign that Vista was released with bugs aplenty...hence the constant patches. besides, just consider how long Vista's product life cycle lasted before Windows 7 superceded it (not very long). imo, Windows 7 gives the best of both worlds at least: Vista eye candy with XP functionality.
