Hello Malaysia!
awww.... if it's any consolation, i did go to Aussie for a while.................a long time ago in 2000. loved it there, & i do intend to come back at some point of my life to visit Cairns, Alice Springs & Darwin...mostly Central Aussie, cos i've never been there. RE: Internet caps ---> heard about that. i guess i was lucky that my campus was 1 of the 1st then to have free oncampus WiFi...& even when they implemented d/l caps, i got a pretty big one ---> & there is the wonder that is Streamyx in M'sia...my d/l are taking bloody ages!!! i can't listen to a single internet radio station smoothly cos the d/l bandwidth's crap!!! argh!!! RE: Pay TV license ---> well, you could just not pay the £100+...& live w/o TV. or survive on the Internet & YouTube. :\ yeah! *lol* oh, hang on...i forgot the hammer. :P :computer::smash:

Pictures of coldplay as simpson characters revealed!!
just had the same thought. it's probably been done up on the "Simpsonify Me" feature on the Simpsons movie website. fairly limited template so certain things like the beard/stubble, jackets & cap would need to be Photoshop-ed in.

Pictures of coldplay as simpson characters revealed!!
awww, c'mon...even then they're not supposed to look THAT ridiculous. & what the hell happened to Jonny??? :P well, they all look crap really...but i think Jonny really got the short end of the stick this time if the end result looks anything like this.

Coldplay & U2 --- Discussion
y'know, the reason the Coldplay guys said that thing about them being on top now cos U2's on holiday is not really their usual self depracating nature at work. it's cos U2 are like their idols & benchmarks...they generally speak quite favourably of U2 anyway. well, maybe more so to Chris & Jonny than the others. & Coldplay may be dominating the charts now, but what person born in the 70s or 80s (e.g. the guys themselves) hasn't grown up listening to U2 songs being played on the radio? on the flipside, Bono has acknowledged that younger bands of the current generation like Coldplay & The Killers are the ones to watch out for cos he feels they're good enough to upstage U2.

What Coldplay songs did you hate at first, but later came to love?
i didn't like Politik & Violet Hill at all when i heard them. but i changed my mind once i heard these songs played live. especially for Politik, i think it's definitely a song that needs to be heard live to really appreciate it. Violet Hill, i guess it's just that it was different from the band's previous stuff. which is a good choice as their 1st single from the then new album to show the change/evolution. but it's grown on me since then. more so after hearing it live.

"amen" to the bolded text! & i hope that by 19 Sep i would've recovered from jet lag & adjusted fully to London time. :P (i'd hate to give the guys the wrong message by falling asleep during their songs!) but i do have someone in the family who is all paranoid about me just going to uni cos i'll "definitely come in contact with ppl who have the H1N1 virus"...brilliant. :dozey: said person is convinced it'll all flare up again & maybe worse in Sep, esp. once winter comes round in UK. A Wembley Flu Prayer Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The patience to endure the queues and weather at Wembley, The strength to survive a swine flu infection, And the wisdom to not live in fear at home all day for mortal fear of a glorified flu And also, Help me to be careful of the overly paranoid As they will probably want to quarantine me For going to a Coldplay concert I've been waiting for for months. :P:P:P

The Snow Patrol Thread
gotta love Gary's humour! + the fact that they played Glass of Water! (i bet it's cos it's Gary's fave song right now!) & that's some great Snow Patrol karma you had going on for you for the concert too! great to see that you had a blast & met the band too! on another note, i've d/l the single version of Planets Bend Between Us & can definitely tell that there's a huge difference compared to the album version! i've no idea why i didn't notice it at all before when watching the MV. i hang my head in utter shame at my musical blindness... :embarassed: :shame:

Hello Malaysia!
cos it's every Malaysian's destiny to go to UK to study! :P (nah, just kidding lah... :dozey: ) for postgrad studies, UK unis' masters courses are 1yr only. in US & Aussie it's 2yrs so imo that kinda evens out the $$$ part. but i've studied in Aussie before already, so i'm looking for a new country/environment. between UK & US, i personally much prefer UK to US on the very rare occasions i've been there. & i guess it shows...cos everyone around me are telling me i'll love it there & already are assuming i'll stay on beyond my studies. + i have friends & relatives in UK at least. i won't deny it's high even now, but it's not as high as in the last (asian) financial crisis in the 90s when i was meant to go there for O-Levels & later undergrad studies, which both never happened. back then it was way too costly at £1:RM7-8(!) for me to go over & undergrad is for 3-4yrs. this time i'm spending SG$ & the pound sterling's rate has dropped quite a bit this time so it's not as eye poppingly costly. so now, here i am...again applying to UK to study. & this time it actually seems to be happening. :stunned:

+1 for the Gravity appreciation! :D

You know you're addicted to Coldplay when...
...when you see an EQ Presets on your new PC sound card's config software includes a preset for Soft Rock & you think that the company's friggging ace for putting a custom preset for Coldplay specifically. :P

Hello Malaysia!
private student...i expect i'll be a very broke private student by the end of my studies. since working part time while studying is out of the question for me. @but a dream : just make sure your supporting documents, esp. the uni visa letter & the bank statements, have all the details they want to see as per the checklist/guidelines. the VFS ppl were daym near anal about this (which i suppose is a good thing, rather than letting you waste the visa fee)! i got a nice friendly lady, but there was a another staff who was telling off just about every student & parent about their documents not passing muster. :stunned: beyond that, the applications are at the mercy of the British High Comm... *twiddles thumbs*

Coldplay Asian Chatterers Thread
same here, actually. but i was following it via non-TV means & my friend who was also following it was the one who told me about Pushing Daisies being cancelled. such a pity. @grids : helloz!!! :D

Hello Malaysia!
*sigh* been busy with the whole UK student visa application thing. the VFS ppl in KL are bloody garang, man! now can relax a bit while waiting to see if my RM849 (it used to be RM500+ last year!!! ) will go down the drain with this application or i can get my visa chup chup.

Good Anime Serieses
you should see/read the manga...there's some kinky girl on girl action in them pages. :wink3: @Kite : is FMA Brotherhood completed yet? cos i thought it's still ongoing, but my cousin was telling me it's ended (or did he get confused with FMA itself)?
