Apparently their NZ booking people were planning an all ages show at the Town Hall but it was closed for maintenance that month so they decided to do 3 shows at the R18 venue...wtf? there are other theatres...

Beach House are playing in Melbourne while I am there, but it looks as though the venue is strictly R18 :\

He obviously can't sing those old songs as well as he could back then, but I feel his voice has matured or something....I think In Rainbows was his best album vocally.

I'm a big fan of autotune. The way Kanye and others use it is actually really experimental/interesting. Autotune has the capability to correct people's singing and be totally unnoticed, but they've decided to use it as a vocal effect, kind of like a vocoder. I admire that. Anyway, who's seen the Runaway movie? it's great! it has a few new songs, including the one where he sampled Woods by Bon Iver. real cool.

Playing to small audiences like that is incredibly uncomfortable. It's not something I'd want to do more than once. So I can understand that. But the vinyl thing is ridiculous! surely that was just a mistake with the organisers or whatever?
