  1. He said that someone took a picture of him dancing or "trying it on" with some random girl in a bar. Gaia then found the picture on the Internet. :\ Matt does speak too fast. Random story time. My math teacher also speaks really quickly during class. When I first heard him talk, the first thought that popped into my head was, "Gah. You're just as bad as Matt Bellamy." I miss Guy's tweets and photos. :disappointed:
  2. I love Spaced! It's hysterical, and I thought the script and acting were really great. Can't wait to read Simon's book!
  3. asldfjsajfjasdkj;fakj THEY'RE SO YOUNG! :cheesy: . . . oh, and yay, Chris Martin clone. :awesome: Sweet.
  4. ^ Thank you for posting those vids! I couldn't watch them on DWTS since I don't really have a TV with me now. That was a lovely acoustic performance, and Flo sounded wonderful. :nice: That was cute when she talked about how nervous she was and how she could hear her heartbeat.
  5. I had no idea there was an official album for this! I only heard about Hadestown about a month ago when I found a live recording. I still have yet to listen to the entire performance and songs.
  6. After reading all the answers you guys gave, I just want to steal all of them. Prospekt's March/Poppyfields definitely gives me a lot of imagery. For some reason, I keep thinking of the movie Atonement whenever I listen to this song; it always reminds me of when Robbie heads off to war. Or maybe it's just because I saw one of the movie's promo pics of James McAvoy as a soldier, walking in a field of poppies. This will probably sound weird, but Chinese Sleep Chant also gives me strong imagery. Whenever I listen to it, I feel like explosions of color are going off in my head.
  7. Aw, really? I bought mine online. I guess you could try ordering it that way or from the official Muse website, but I don't know how expensive it might be. And you're welcome! :nice: I'm late on the discussion of Coldplay and Muse's singers, but I'll just give this little thought. The good thing about Matt is that he has a pretty powerful voice and is usually not off-tune. I feel kind of bad when I listen to some of Chris' singing during the Viva la Vida tour and I think, "WOW. Chris actually sounds decent! . . . :blank:" I really hope he improves his singing for the next tour, along with taking good care of his voice. Oh, and Muse's Austin City Limits gig will be streaming today starting at 9:45 PM US Central Time from this website: http://www.aclfestival.com/webcast/ Someone out there had better record and upload it!
  8. I bought the Hullabaloo DVD! :awesome: But I think I'll have to wait for a few weeks before I can actually watch it. Darn. I remember Matt and Dom saying they thought the movies were pretty cool. I could be wrong. As for allowing Twilight to use their songs, there was this fairly recent interview with Chris, where he says that they "sold their souls" to Twilight. On the subject of the hugely popular vampire films, Wolstenholme admitted they were “not my cup of tea”. http://www.nme.com/movies/news/muse-we-sold-our-soul-to-twilight/179492
  9. Yep! To me, it's actually a really fun song. Cheesy and fun. :D
  10. Gah, seriously? :bigcry: It's like when Muse did that U.S. Campus tour thing back in 2006 or so and tickets were only about $30. And I wasn't even really into music in 2006. :disappointed: Ahaha, Neutron Star Collision. :wacky: It's so cheesy and the lyrics make me go "wut", yet I kinda love it. ^^^I hope you have an amazing time at the concert, shipoffools!
  11. ^ Nice! I can't remember the last time I listened to Parachutes in full. I need to get working on that soon.
  12. If I ever saw Muse and Coldplay on the same stage, I'd completely freak out. I have mixed feelings about The Small Print. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. :\ The melody itself is pretty good, and I like the guitar riff. Wait, do you mean the meaning behind it? I really don't know what it's about. All I got from it was a feeling of bitterness from the singer's point of view. . . . and then there's MuseWiki's explanation. http://www.musewiki.org/The_Small_Print_%28song%29
  13. I keep misreading the thread title as "Hayden Christensen & Guy Berryman . . . " and thinking that Guy is good buddies with the Star Wars dude. "Oh, cool!" *reads again* "Oh, wait . . ." Yeah. :escaping:
  14. So I freaked out a bit over the "All That Remains" theory that's going on. Will is so sweet, looking out for Rik. :nice: Same here. I'm just hoping for a really, really great album with wonderful music from those hard-working boys. And your English is fine! :)
  15. Ooh, thanks! Go get some sleep. Good night, ines and Hysteria (I'm assuming your name is Kelly)!
  16. I love Atoms for Peace. :nice: It's such a comforting song. Right, sorry. MUSE! Uh . . . Does anyone know where this gif came from (YouTube video or performance)? I find it so amusing (I swear, that's not a pun!). And yeah, I also just want to post a funny Muse gif. :awesome: *squints* That looks like Chris on drums . . .
  17. You're welcome! I hope you like them. :nice: And don't worry; for many people, Radiohead just isn't for them, so don't force yourself to like their music. I'm glad that you're giving them a listen, though! I actually don't like No Surprises too. I don't hate it, but I just don't really care for it.
  18. I'd suggest Karma Police (perhaps one of the easier Radiohead songs to get into), Reckoner, Idioteque, and 15 Step. I hope those are okay! Radiohead can be a little difficult to get into. For me, I had to really sit down and actually listen to their music before I started really liking them.
  19. Don't take my word on this, since I'm not an expert on music and stuff. I also suck at explaining things, but anyway . . . I KIND OF hear the similarities, but only from a few songs from the Showbiz era, which remind me of Radiohead's earlier work. "Falling Down" and "Instant Messenger" (AKA "Pink Ego Box") give me a "Radiohead vibe". I remember someone on this board mentioned that Radiohead's "Exit Music (for a Film)" sounds very Muse-y, especially when it builds up and takes off near the end. And for those who are tired of the Muse and Radiohead comparisons . . . please don't kill me. :uhoh: EDIT: Of course, there's also the fact that both Thom and Matt use falsetto. But if I compare their current styles to each other (e.g., In Rainbows vs. The Resistance), I can't pinpoint any significant similarities.
  20. As much as I like Parachutes, I like AROBTTH more. I like how it's a more confident-sounding record, with powerful songs like Politik and God Put a Smile upon Your face. It has more "oomph" than their first album and still has emotional, gorgeous songs and melodies (e.g., The Scientist, Amsterdam). And there's my two cents.
  21. Really? :awesome: I love the jangly guitar in that song. And yay for Map of Your Head love.
  22. I've meant to ask you guys this for a while. What are your favorite Muse B-sides/rarities? I'm curious. :D I'm practically in love with Glorious and Map of Your Head. I also really like Hyper Chondriac Music, especially when it builds up; there's something really eerie about it, in a good way.
  23. I did! That was pretty great. I liked his "love socks" response to the person who promised to bring socks for him and his "I like cats and dogs. Dom likes ferrets in bin liners/trash bags." . . . wow, I'm obsessed. :blank:
  24. Those videos are pretty hilarious. Fishing, golfing . . . I adore these boys. And Dom looked great in black. :wacky:
