1. Naah, I think even I'd definitely prefer watching them at a concert over meeting them; but at the same time, meeting coldplay is quite surely on my bucket list. They did that for the fix you video too. I think they play the song at a lightly fast tempo while shooting so that they can slow it down later in beat with the actual song, to make it look cool and all that.
2. Great video! Loved the cinematography and the editing. Especially that part where the old man in the projector room rolls the film on the beat; that was lovely! This video makes me feel good and bad at the same time. Good, because it's a great video; and bad, because I was SO close to meeting the band :( I really hope they come down to india for a gig. I'll go bonkers and spam the forum with a never-ending "whaaaaa...aaaaaat"
3. I'd rather believe that Terry Pratchett's Discworld existed than believe this.
4. That was amazing, Thalia! I would usually be incredibly jealous right now, but I think you absolutely deserved that opportunity! Thanks for an amazing interview! :)
5. Thank you! Really appreciate your time for having listened to it!
6. Hello coldplayers! Here's a track that I've been working on for a while now. It's got a lot of influences from Indian and Western classical music, as well as (inevitably) the amazing Coldplay. Please do give it a listen when you guys find the time, and let me know what you think! Mobile Link: https://soundcloud.com/suhit-1/forward Thank you!
7. Sorry to interrupt but I just wanted to know if anybody else noticed this on coldplay.com Look at the thread below for more details: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/105507/
8. I really love the new design..! It looks really friendly, yet quite professional at the same time. I keep saying it, but you guys really put a lot of effort into this website, and I feel privileged to use it..! It took me just a little while to figure out the new navigation, but it's way easier now, and fun. It kinda reflects the mood the band is in at the moment, so it's nice to see how coldplaying.com reflects coldplay.com. A true fansite, and the best one there can be! Great going guys!
9. Hello there! I don't know if this has already been discussed or if it actually is so obvious that it doesn't need mentioning, but I just noticed today on the right top corner of the coldplay.com website that a different phase of the moon is highlighted according to the actual phase of the moon on that particular day. (Or maybe it's a coincidence so far, because I just noticed it today; I'll have to check back in a few days and see if it gets updated.)
10. It kinda is, yes :/ You've got clairvoyance though! (p.s, this parallel conversation in the thread isn't really catching on eh? :S )
11. @Batman You were almost right about tropical goth! They did call adventure of a lifetime 'tropical'!!
12. I'm starting to see a lot of old song names in the artwork: Parachutes, U.F.O, Violet Hill, Moving to Mars (more Saturn actually, but anyway..), Up with the birds. I think I'm just looking for things to tie all their albums up into this one.. :| Just over-obsessing..never mind..
13. Hahahahaha! Shit, yeah!
14. Just found this on twitter: Take a look at @phannyCor's Tweet: I dunno what to think, but then again, my mind is just shouting out RUMOUR and WHERE'S THE EVIDENCE?
15. @Charlie17 I use LogicProX too :D That sounds great, I'll drop in a message if I get any idea..! Btw the til kingdom come cover was great too :)
16. Wow..loved it!! Never thought midnight could be done acoustically, but you just proved me wrong there, and how!! Thanks for the tuning and tips as well, I'm going to try it out..! You've got a really nice voice as well! Btw, I compose a little music as well..do you mind if we could collaborate and make a few more covers together?
17. @i ran away Yeah, the other music video is from this rom com film about two young people who are in love. They hide their relationship from their parents, but at the end of this video, the girl's dad catches them. Its pretty hilarious actually.
18. @saketblitz also, thanks for all the info back then about meeting the band..I'm a little jealous but also quite happy you got to meet them! :p
19. @saketblitz what indian drum were they using? Dholak? Tabla?
20. @I ran away: I'm going to share a couple of videos of which one will make you laugh your head off. One of the videos is a song made by Anmol Malik's father, Anu Malik, and the other is a Deep Purple song. After watching the two videos, you might notice a trend in how music is made in the Malik family. I'm not saying that they're incapable of composing their own tunes, but well...it's better if you watch and judge for yourself: 1. 2. P.S.: This isn't an example of the present music videos in India. I dunno if you've read the Hitchiker's guide to the galaxy, but Indian Music videos back in the 90s would even make Marvin, the manically depressed robot, sit up and laugh and then roll on the floor and laugh again. Now that I have shown you a ridiculous music video from India, I feel obliged to share one of the nicer music videos from India just so that I don't set any stereotypes about Indian music here :P (sorry, I know its waaay off topic)
21. Yikes..later than we hoped.. And if they play ASFOS instead of a new song, we'll have a forum full of frowns
22. @Mikaeeljan thank you! Is there anything in there that didn't sound like it fitted?
23. I'm being a lit shameless here, but if you all have the time: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/104805-Check-out-some-of-my-compositions-if-you-don-t-mind!
24. Hello everyone! While waiting for AHFOD to come out, if you have some free time on your hands, could you please listen to some of my work and let me know what you think? I'm planning to make this playlist a demo reel for my work, and before I send it out, I would like some feedback about it - whether some tracks aren't good or if they don't fit, etc. It's mostly instrumental stuff and it isn't great, so don't go hoping for something nice; but I'm just trying to find a few ways to make it into the music industry here. Here's to hoping you don't claw your ears out! Thanks! Suhit.
25. Its 11:00 am here in Pune (Mumbai and Pune have the same time..they're just 3 hours away from each other)..nothing yet though.. I've been waiting all morning and the only thing that was eventful so far was that my dog peed on my bed :( As a punishment I'm going to make her listen to Moe Batriani.
