  1. yeah those were all good. I really enjoyed Hope too. the best album was for sure In Between Dreams :)
  2. Yeah the no-sweet-talk deal pissed me off too! I loved that one on the dvd.
  3. Sleep Through the Static is a solid album. It's my least favourite Jack album though, I find it goes a little slow sometimes. Has different instrument combos from the other albums, this one tends to favour the piano and accordion and such. It really doesn't feel as upbeat and light as the other albums, not as much awesome acoustic guitar. but it has some good tracks, like If I Had Eyes, What You Thought You Need, and Monsoon. a lot of people love Angel. So there's my album review. It's kinda meh. but I reccommend En Concert more. nice selection of live songs.
  4. check the killers website! it says "coming soon, Flamingo" brandon's solo album! I dont know about this  will he be able to continue the magic sans ronnie, dave, and mark?

  9. I had a hard time deciding between Revolver, Help!, the white album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and Abbey Road. but it had to be Revolver. I love the attitude put into everything in that album. and the cover is my favourite cover ever. oh you're also definitely going to make your eyebrows very large somehow! how are you going to make the glasses?? :disguise: and are you going to sing and play awesome guitar for everyone?:guitarist:
  10. that's awesome! can't really think of anything you can just do at home but go to a costume shop or something... you better have some awesome glasses. and post pictures.
  11. Buddy Holly. it seems that when I like a band, I look at their influences, and the influences of those artists, and so on. I've worked my way back to Buddy Holly, through The Beatles, and I'm likin it. Although no one can believe that I listen to buddy holly. ooooh and Dire Straits. I love Money for Nothing

  19. :laugh3: I did that too
  20. hey Carla, yes, that was me :nice: I was really glad you enjoyed it, I don't have much time to write now but you guessed it, I love my british music  These are a lot of my favourite songs at the moment. I wanted to mape a britpop-ish tape that you'd enjoy, and I definitely enjoy it. they're a lot of my favourite bands. here's the tracklisting: 1. Paul McCartney & Wings - Band On The Run (classic, I adore how there's 3 parts, and the transition between the last two is awesome!) 2. Miike Snow - Animal (edit: LOVE THEM (screwed that one up)) 3. Hockey - Too Fake (one of my favourite new bands! kinda like The Strokes meet The Killers. Love the lyrics for this song too, he knows what he's talking about!) 4. The Beatles - Revolution (:D favourite Beatles song BY FAR) 5. The Kooks - Always Where I Need To Be (very very very catchy. his voice is really interesting, The Kooks are a cool band) 6. The Libertines - Don't Look Back Into The Sun (it's a bit older, probably.... I dunno 8 years? but it's awesome) 7. The Strokes - On The Other Side (I love the Strokes. They're amazing, great guitar, and Julian Casablancas is a really great singer. I like how it starts out darker, but turns super upbeat. it's brilliant.) 8. Arctic Monkeys - When The Sun Goes Down (I love the start of this song, and it gets me really pumped up for skiing) 9. The Killers - Leave The Bourbon On The Shelf (LOVE the Killers. I'm nuts about them. one of my favourite songs by them at the moment. but who am I kidding, I love all of them) 10. Empire Of The Sun - We Are The People (Amazing tune, these guys are from Australia. The lyrics are wonderful. glad you enjoyed this one!) 11. Matt and Kim - Daylight (this song is great, I love when the bassline comes in. yes, this was the pop song of the track, and it's funny because they sound so British, but they're actually from the US! specifically from Brooklyn) 12. Just Jack - Embers (Just Jack is fairly unknown in North America, sadly. he's awesome. love all the instrumentals in there, and all the harmonizing and such) 13. Jack Johnson - Do You Remember/Remember [Live] (this is the En Concert version, one of my favourite albums right now. the whole thing is so solid. this song makes me want to ) 14. Eric Hutchinson - Rock 'n Roll (good ol Eric. this song's really upbeat and lovely. there's a full version of it with more instrumental that you can check out if you want, but I prefer this acoustic one. I thought it was a nice way to end the tape)
  21. that's awesome that you got to be a part of it. I'm completely jealous. I've been in Vancuver/Whistler for the last week, but couldn't get tickets for anything :( it was really disappointing.... but just the atmosphere of it all was really really cool I'm going to miss sitting in my kitchen for hours on end watching the Olympics... funny that I saw more olympics at home than I did while I was there and YEAHH CANADA. most gold medals ever. :D
  22. doing awesome things like this: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRKlsB6BhZs]YouTube- U2 & The Killers, Brandon Flowers ( In A Little While)[/ame] just wanted another good excuse to put that in there. because it's wonderful. and I agree, but I think that even if they're "on a break" though they might continue writing new stuff, they just won't bring it into the studio until they're done..their...break:confused: but who knows
