I'm sorry Lory, I didn't mean you. I was not talking about something that you said. I just used a quote of yours to add to my point :) Just heard the girl sing. Hm, I don't like the way she sings Fix You. It doesn't seem honest in the way that she tries too hard to sing good and try to put emotion in it, but it's not sincere. Being too caught up by singing it well, she doesn't seem to understand at the moment what she is singing. The whole intonation she uses doesn't seem to fit a song so timide. It's supposed to be sung by someone who tries to comfort someone and when this girl sings it, she's not trying to comfort anyone. Being a good singer/performer is not only about having good looks (sure she has those! ;) ) and a great voice, it's maybe even more about being able to get across your message.

Coldplay performs at X-factor = Coldplay gets a bad name (since, come on, X-factor is really bad) = Coldplay loses support from fans that would actually buy their CD instead of illegally downloading it like the average teenage X-factor fan would do. 2. Coldplay performs at X-factor = they get finally noticed by people that have been living under a rock for the last five years at least = not influencing sales at all because these people are too busy spending their money on X-factor related merch. No more money for Coldplay = not a big deal because they are rich enough already so they will still make amazing music. But most important, I don't like X-factor :D - I don't really believe in this way of reasoning, I don't even think it's worthy being named logic (except of course if you compare it to logic of She-Who-Cannot-Be-Named) so I guess I also don't think that your way of looking at it makes sense to me. I am not even taking into account some classic mistakes like not knowing when to use 'were' or 'where' and 'too' or 'to'. I hope I don't sound like a Grammar Nazi now, I just want to point out that misuse of such words can cause a lot of confusing, because they mean something else if written wrong.

I wouldn't worry too much about them trying to get more fans :nice: They already had a huge fanbase so it might even be considered brave of them to make an album that's not like the previous ones. With so many fans there's always some that won't like it. Also don't mind the facepalms etc. Some people like me just spend too much time on this board so we have seen topics just like this one before. Some are therefore not even bothered anymore to respond in a constructive way. Lory, why would you post something solely in a spoiler? Oh God, I have had that as well. This guy was stalking me and part of it was to download stuff I mentioned but even if there was a song on the radio and I just said "oh, that's a nice song" he would go and download the freakin' newest album of them and send it to me while writing something along the line of "hiiiii I got this for you because I know you love them and it was no trouble at all!!!! let me know if you want to see them live once with me or something". Of course I replied that I don't give a fuck about that band. Please tell him that you find it creepy that he downloads movies that you mentioned. You never asked him to do so, which is what makes it creepy. If he plays the 'but I am such a good friend to you' card again, then tell him he's not. For one, a good friend would know when you would appreciate such a gesture and in this case you cleary don't. You also never wanted him to be a friend of you. Considering his feelings for you, it would be very wise for both of you not to be friends at all. Yep, tell him that too. If he asks why, then tell him he should use his common sense or - when lacking that - ask a friend why. You don't need to explain him anything. You don't own him anything. Have you told him already anything in the line of that you don't want to be friends? or want any of his 'favours' ? Have you also told him that he needs mental help? hahahaha :laugh3: Nah, forget that last one.
