Eh, I don't know, but if a random person would walk into me and tell me he thinks about me 24/7 and is completely obsessed by me and that he feels jealousy, then I think I would not appreciate that but find it a tad creepy. Maybe you can better say it in a lesser way, like that you find him a great guy and think he's amazing and that he inspires you, but just don't come too near thinking about him 24/7 and dreaming about him and all :uhoh: as maria says I think it's great that you are so open about it and sincere, but I don't think he'd like to know too much about someone's obsession, that makes it a bit uncomfortable. btw, I don't love Martin :P

:nod: At least depending on if you think a condition should include mental disorders or not and if you think SAD is a mental disorder or not. Personally I don't like to think of SAD as a mental disorder. BTW, both me and the friend I was talking about don't have SAD. GP might take ages and another disadvantage is that they are usually not specialized in anything. But the tablets you use now, weren't they prescribed by a doctor? Halloween! I'll celebrate my birthday :D

I've got good news :} It also has to do with pills so it might be relevant. I already walk around with a weird condition for many years that's so weird that they could never diagnose me correct. Getting desperate lately because I got a burn-out and wasn't able to handle work anymore, they started prescribing me pills anyway, hoping it would help me. Really tough stuff. It didn't work at all. They got my hopes up, but I got dissappointed because the pills didn't help and not only that, because of the pills I got depressed and tired and sleepy until no end. Luckily the depression stopped as soon as I quit these pills. After pressuring the regular doctor to let a sleeping centre investigate me I finally got a sound diagnose. The neurologist prescribed me pills again and this time it works! I am working again full time and back in business! :D Can't describe how happy this makes me. After my own trouble I went through (seeing doctors/psychologists/psychiatrists for more than ten years, they tried twice the wrong medication and I had to follow a course about how to live with a condition that I didn't even turn out to have :angry:) I can only advice you to tell people that you think these pills aren't working. They can only help you the best with this if you inform them correctly and in time. If you don't want to tell your parents, then at least tell the doctor so he can try subscribing you something else. It's normal that not all the regular pills for a condition help everyone. You just have to find the right pill for you. Do it, because once you get the right one it really can improve your life. It can even be that you got mis-diagnosed. Being sad all the time for once doesn't always mean you have a depression or SAD. A friend of mine had the same kind of problem and they tried several anti-depression pills on her. They didn't work. Then they found out that she didn't produce any melatonine anymore as a side effect of another condition and because no melatonine means sleep problems which can cause you to feel sad/depressed, in her case getting melatonine pills already solved her problem partly. For SAD also applies that pills aren't always working. I know several people with SAD that feel good enough by merely using a light therapy lamp. And Kiame's remark reminded me of Barney Stinson :D Mind over Barney. Focus: "When I get sad I stop being sad and be AWESOME instead. True story!"

Ebay can be very good. You can see if the seller is thrustworthy by feedback other buyers have left. When eg. they have 2000 positive reviews and no bad ones, I think you can trust them. I have bought many music items on there as well and it all went fine. Shipping from other continents wasn't much too if you make a right deal. If your friend wants to try FAME in Amsterdam, then he can use this website to find any items of Coldplay they still have in store. It gets updates daily so if singles are still on there, then he knows for sure he can get it. I see that only that earlier mentioned €80 single collection is left though, no separate singles :(

He's not responding to notifiers from Coldplaying or direct mails, so I guess that sending him a letter won't help either. :sneaky: I bought today a new scrapbook :sneaky: I just hope there's no need for it and the old one will show up after all.

I saw that he is on the Dutch hyves (which is like the Dutch facebook) but I don't have an account on that, so I can't access it. And I wouldn't be surprised if he also won't respond to anything on there. I just don't understand his silence. He can let us know at least whether the scrapbook is still there, right? With the second option I mean that people who make two A4 pages in a scrapbook way can send those two pages to the one in charge of the project. The pages are always send directly to the leader and won't be sent to other people. Others cabn only see the digital version of the pages when it gets scanned. The leader can add all the pages together so it becomes a book afterall. With leader I mean the head of the project. The rules like the one-week-rule are also posted in this thread, but not on the first page and usually when people find out about the project they don't read the whole thread, probably only the first post and the latest few. Hey Billy, I can also start a new scrapbook. I've got enough money to buy a new one and send it and I was the next one in line anyway. But yeah, I would like to start a new (smaller) line then with hopefully more reliable people and tougher rules/guidelines.

Ja, hahaha, de Belgen die ik ken komen altijd met woorden op de proppen die ik niet ken. Soms kan ik uit de context halen wat ze bedoelden, maar meestal moet ik gewoon vragen wat het betekent en dan zegt de dame meestal "Wa?!? Das geen proper Nederlands???" oprecht verbaasd dat het niet bekend is in Nederland. Zoals de woorden 'kuisen' (schoonmaken), 'keren' (vegen) , 'malchance' (pech), 'frigo' (koelkast) of 'panikeren' :P Al zijn er een paar woorden (zoals saggeren, tas, tut of nagel) die ik wel nuttig/ken omdat ik opgegroeid ben in Tilburg en daar gebruiken ze ook Belgische woorden die de rest van Nederland niet kent :D - Mag dan toch een beetje in het Belgen forum posten toch? :P

Finally someone who puts the exact notes down here (if they are right, I have no idea) IMO: It sounds the same, but it's NOT the exact same notes. It's a familiar hook, I agree, but it's not exactly the same. And also having the same hook doesn't mean that the whole song sounds the same. I don't think Coldplay stole this. Not because it sounds the same but is not, but just for other reasons that have been pointed out here already. Eg. Why would they do that if they already had so much trouble with VLV? And the Vietnamees song seems so obscure that I can't image Coldplay having heard it before they made MX. And so many things have been written in music already that at a point of course people come up with the same kind of hook. Your post is just wrong in so many levels. You accuse people of not having their own opinion just because their opinion doesn't match yours? You suggest we should act like grown-ups while in the same post you say people should open their damn eyes, accuse Coldplay of plagiarism and then state that this is not your opinion but evidence? If the plagiarism is evident, then please open our eyes by showing us the evidence (and keep in mind that one can only talk about plagiarism if Coldplay didn't write the music themselves but pretend they did).

Again lost! I can't believe it. This is the danger with having so many people involved; there's always one that’s bound to screw it up for the rest of us. And this time so soon already. He was the third person in line. I really hope I am wrong and that we will hear something from him. It doesn't even have to be an excuse, a little explanation of what happened would be enough already. Or the scrapbook popping up after all. Celien and Billy, he was aware of the guidelines/rules you made up, right? Like when having the book, you should finish the two pages in a week and then send it to the next person? I just realised that this is not in the first page of this thread. Maybe he thinks he can take whatever time for this? (he shouldn't because I already mailed him that he's supposed to have it only for one week) KingChris said he received the scapbook, right? I don't understand what happened after that. If there's going to be a new scrapbook, shall we sharpen up the rules/guidelines? I think Celien's idea of giving your everyday-mailaddress was already a good idea. Also, the person should be still active on the board when the book will be send to him/her (in this case KingChris has been active on the board last month so I don't know why now he is suddenly absent). And what about not sending the scrapbook to someone until we hear from the receiver that he/she has time for the project. If the receiver has no time or doesn't reply, then the book should be send to the next person in line (if that person does say he/she has time). Also make clear that people should not take more than one or two weeks to fill the two pages, to have this project going on. We should also tell the people that they should inform us each time they receive the book, they finished their part and when they send it to the next person. Another option to avoid losing scrapbooks is to make the whole thing digital. We could make scrapbook pages ourselves at home and scan them in without sending the actual pages to the next person. Maybe it's even an idea to send the pages immediately to the person in charge of the project, then when someone fails to do so, the project can still continue. I admit that this way a lot of charm is lost. It’s so nice to see the actual book yourself and go through the pages. The person in charge also ends up with separate pages instead of a solid book, which is not so nice (although they can still be bundled in a map or get bind in a copyshop so it becomes a real book). To have the thing going on like a real scrapbook we could still make an entry one after another and not all at the same time. What do you guys think of these ideas?
