Have you asked the Oracle a question, but she didn't answer you?
^ :D thanks; I think that might be her favorite song too, since it plays on her myspace page (the last time I checked)

Have you asked the Oracle a question, but she didn't answer you?
I thought I'd bump this thread from *gasp!* page 7. I recently asked the Oracle this. Obviously, since I am posting it in this thread, she didn't answer. I thought it was a good question, but what do I know: Hello Dearest Oracle, It seems that as of late you have become quite fond of answering questions from those with the name of Carrie that live in the United States (3 since the end of March to be exact), so I figure that I will try my luck. (Really, my name IS Carrie, I'm not telling a fib just to persuade you.) Back in March you mentioned that Politik was in Chris' "top two favourite Coldplay songs", and that you would try to find out what his favourite one is. Have you asked him, and if so, did he actually tell you? Or did he give you a coy reply like, "something we are working on in the studio at the moment", or some other sneaky response of that nature? And although this may be too much to ask, do you happen to know the favourite Coldplay song of each of Will, Guy, and Jonny? It would be rather AMuSing if any of ThEm sharReD the sAMe favourite song as mine. Thank you, "Carrie in Michigan"

Top Summer Songs
I'm going to take the obvious cheesy route and say "Summertime" by DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince. Because IT JUST IS.

What were your first thoughts on VLVODAAHF?
I was going to buy it at the store, but my husband insisted on downloading it and making a cd for me. I gave in. Of course he burned a crappy quality cd, because he loves me so much. Even so, first impression... I thought it was shit. No joke. I loved Violet Hill, but the rest... I ejected it from the player (in my car) and chucked it into the passenger seat. I didn't listen to it again until March of 2009. I'm not kidding. And even then it was only because I had purchased tickets to the concert, so I thought I'd better familiarize myself with the songs. After actually going out and purchasing the cd, I gave it another listen. I soon loved it. I still think Reign of Love and the Escapist are poo, but I love the rest.

What's the weather like today in your town?
This morning I heard on the radio it is going to be near 100 degrees. That's about 37 for the celsius people out there (which is almost everyone... the U.S. is so screwy, we need to go the metric and all that jazz asap).

How to creatively use one pound coin on a Sunday to really upset someone on a Monday!!
The word "trolley" is so adorable. Much cuter than "shopping cart". Of course if I tried to use that word over here, nobody would have a clue what I was talking about.

Swizz Beats working with Coldplay?
But that was posted 3 years ago, so I doubt that SB would be referring to that

Swizz Beats working with Coldplay?
A little info from wikipedia: Kasseem Dean (born August 30, 1978), better known by his stage name, Swizz Beatz, is an American record producer, DJ, and rapper. At just age of 17, he gained attention in the hip-hop world through his friendship with rapper DMX. Grady Spivey and rapper Cassidy helped launch his label Full Surface Records. Swizz Beatz has produced tracks for many elite rap and hip-hop soul artists such as DMX, Beyoncé Eve, Jay-Z, The Lox, Drag-On, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, Nas, Styles P, Cassidy, Mos Def, Fat Joe, Foxy Brown, Memphis Bleek, The Game, Cam'ron, Remy Ma, T.I., Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Fantasia, Lil' Kim, Destiny's Child, Alicia Keys, Kelis, Monica (singer), Nicki Minaj, R. Kelly, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and Drake. Basically, he's worked with lots of people. I have loads of respect for the guy, but I don't know how his style could work with our boys. I gotta admit though, I love that picture. Somebody needs to put some goofy captions in it...

I would say if you're going to put it on your wrist, keep it small and simple. 15th June in black "Coldplay font". :nice:

Remember that little T.V when Coldplay performed in the VLV era?

Was there ever any explanation/meaning in regard to the 44 on his shirt during the X&Y days? I know the Oracle answered a question last year that it had nothing to do with 42, but she didn't offer anything further.

Is cricket included as a sport in the Olympics? If so, then... Or maybe he can start "Paddle Spanking" as a sport. :sneaky: I'd watch that, FO SHO. Wait no, I take that back... I'd participate in that.

Coldplayers meet-up in London, Summer 2010 - UPDATED 4/7/2010!!
I am still working on my detailed day-by-day diary/journal... this is taking much longer than I thought! Although I did have events to attend on Friday and Sunday, and went back to work the past 2 days, I really did think I would have it done by now, I'm sorry. :disappointed: . . However, I will post one little snippet from my last night in London (Wednesday July 14) that I have been teasing a couple of people with. Natascha is about ready to row her boat over here and smack me upside the head! Although most people left on Wednesday, Nancy and I stayed an extra night and were set to accompany each other to the airport on Thursday morning. We decided to take one last stroll down Fleet Road on Wednesday evening, and then head to a restaurant in Belsize Park for dinner. While passing by the Beehive and walking toward the end of the road near the Bakery, we hear the Bakery gate closing and see the "unknown dude" from the previous evening walking out of the alley. :bomb: (BTW, I've already looked in the roadies/assorted people thread, and I don't recognize him.) On the way back, we saw him walk out of the Beehive and head in the other direction... he was probably making sure all the lights were out in both places before leaving work for the day. ;) So Nancy and I stroll back toward the Belsize Park area, and decide to have dinner at the restaurant we kindly avoided a few days earlier (the one that Miller was eating at). It was still pretty warm at that time, so we decided to get an outside table even though it was a little breezy. While we are innocently reading the menus, I happen to catch a little piece of a conversation from the guys two tables away. They weren't "obvious" guys, they were just two guys dressed in typical business-casual attire that many Londoners wear during the work week. But once I heard the phrase, "they are experimenting with some different guitar sounds, working it in between parts, it sounds really interesting, etc."... I tried to tune out everything else! At that point I just stared at the same spot on the menu, pretending to read, but really just trying to hear as much of the conversation I could. It was a bit difficult since we were two tables away and the wind was starting to pick up, but I was able to catch other bits like, "it's just the two of them in the studio right now", "he's supposed to be back next Wednesday or Thursday". (Wednesday 21st or Thursday 22nd) I wasn't able to hear any specific names, but given they were sitting at the same restaurant that Miller was at earlier, the studio is nearby, and oh look! the unknown dude that just left the Beehive is walking by us with some food right now... it would be a good guesstimate to say that they were referring to our boys. :awesome: (Record company employees, maybe?) R42 already mentioned in a recent blog about Jonny's guitar sounds, and we know that Chris (and Jonny) have been in New York, and 2 guys (Miller and the unknown dude) have been working in the studios (and/or possibly Will and Guy if they're in town... not sure about that). Unfortunately, just as the wind picked up a little more, they left. :( But, it was interesting to listen to them while I had the chance. Okay Natascha, you can turn your boat around now...
