You can stream anything / mirror your iPod or iPad to your TV, amongst other things. Although we have a smart tv which connects to YouTube, this thing blows it out of the water. It automatically bumps up to the highest res version, gives you more options, etc. I only tried it out a little yesterday to see how the 1st episode (1st season) of Breaking Bad that I downloaded from iTunes on my iPod Touch looked when Apple tv threw it on my tv. This thing rocks. There's so much more you can do with it though.

I don't see why not. They did have screens for the recent shows, but the screens were just toward the back (nothing above the stage). I'm guessing they would have inquired with the effects company to make the screens as lightweight as possible. Speaking of that... last week I searched online for any updates in regard to the Toronto investigation. I couldn't find anything, even though it's been about 3 months now.

Well I guess this was all for naught. Oddly enough, Brent's "no cast" vote is the winner. They cut off my cast, looked at the thumb and had me bend it a bit. Then they took the half of the cast that was on the side with my thumb, put it back on, then wrapped it on with an ace bandage. I don't think it's aligned/healed properly, but he wants to wait 2 weeks to do an x-ray (they surprisingly didn't do one today). In the meantime, I'm supposed to take off the half-cast 3 times per day and to some flexibility exercises. But after practicing the exercises in his office, my thumb hurts like a mofo (again, because I think it's just as broken as it was before). It will be interesting to see how this turns out in the end. But alas, no colorful new cast. :cry:

Yeah a girl I used to work with washed her hair every other day and it looked great. Unfortunately my scalp gets uber oily so I can only skip a day on the weekend. You might want to try my little trick, it has worked well for me. Only work the shampoo on your scalp surface. For the rest of your hair, scrub/rub/whittle vigorously with conditioner. The "action" gets out on dirt, while keeping your hair in its natural soft state by not using the harsh drying cleansers of the shampoo. You'll be amazed when you see what your hair really feels like after awhile. Or you could use WEN... but that stuff is kind of expensive.

You started with season 1 a few weeks ago and caught up that quick? :surprised: Oh, and starting last night AMC is airing season 5 again, but at the 11pm slot instead of 10pm. I'm gonna DVR all the episodes. :nod:

Well it's Thom's brainchild and has nothing to do with Radiohead, so other than maybe expecting to hear more complex bass contributions from Flea, I'm not sure there's much that we can compare an Atoms For Peace track to other than The Eraser.

Awww, thanks for the concern. :nice: I broke my thumb playing softball (rogue throw from shortstop hit my hand). It's at the base of the thumb, close to the wrist, which is why they couldn't put a splint on just the thumb. Hopefully it's healing okay; I suppose I'll find out on Wednesday. Putting the initial x-ray of the uber-swollen hand in a spoiler in case some people don't like looking at that stuff... It's my right hand, and since I'm right-handed... um yeah. Annoying. On the bright side, I should be pretty close to ambidextrous by the time this is all finished. Disregard that... somebody here intentionally skewed the poll. When I tally the ending votes, I'll only consider member votes. Lurker votes won't be counted.

Apparently they don't use plaster anymore. The doctor put a thin white cloth over the area, and those colored swatches in the picture above are actually fiberglass. It starts out as an ace bandage wrap, and then the doctor dipped the wrap in water and started feverishly wrapping it around the cloth. Once the area was covered he applied pressure which sped up a chemical reaction and made the fiberglass cloth become hard. It was funky because I could feel the warmth from the reaction and it sounded like Rice Krispies. This isn't a picture of mine, but it looks just like this: If somebody really wanted to, they could sneak in a crappy drawing with a silver marker.

The doctor is removing my current cast next Wednesday to see how things are healing, and will put another cast on afterward. For my current one I just chose black, but I'd like to be a little more adventurous for my next cast. They have all sorts of colors. This is a sample, but they have a lot more. Thoughts? Poll included.

I'm not sure where you're getting that there's no bass. Maybe you don't have your headphones on? There's a (very) strong bass line for the first 1:30, then again from 2:40-3:30. At other points it is softer, but deeper. Oh and if you want to put it into some sort of playlist... throw "Blue Clouds" by Monkeytown in immediately after. The percussion outro on Default flows to the intro to Blue Clouds wonderfully.

Well, I'd say the episode on a whole was a bit blah. But I suppose it served the purpose of transitioning from the prior 7 episodes to the next 8. I will admit though, the ending was, as Jesse might say, "choice." It was very... I realized/theorized last night, that maybe one of the reasons that they are waiting until next year is because AMC wants to brag about more awards (spreading out the season like this will qualify them for another year of awards).

So whatever happened to that thing with them borrowing Jack White's studio a few months ago? Were they actually recording something, or just trying to put some final touches on a performance (e.g., Ful Stop)?

Interesting Kid A conversation. It's certainly not my favorite, but I appreciate it for what it is. I've often wondered though if it would get as much praise if it didn't have the well-placed "transitions" between songs. Get rid of those small bits and the "flow" might not be anything to write home about. It certainly wouldn't feel the same. Thoughts?

It might be easier to tell people what you don't listen to. For example, when people ask me that question I just say, "I'll listen to anything but country."

Is the college nearby and you're still living at home? Or are you moving away?
