  1. Tonight's the night... I'm equal parts excited and nervous.
  2. For your own sake, get over him already! You don't quite look like a stalker, but you are definitely making yourself out to be clingy & desperate. What guy wants to deal with clingy desperation?
  3. As Eddie originally postulated, from the article there wasn't any collabo, Jack just let them use his studio. I don't think Jack White is the most amazing musician, but he definitely gets props from me. Coincidentally enough, this weekend I watched It Might Get Loud on Palladia. I highly recommend it. It was very interesting to see how his style came about. (As a side note, I knew he came from Detroit but I didn't realize he grew up in the Mexicantown hood, that's great.) I also enjoyed Jimmy Page's backstory too. Anywho... Shredder, I'm glad you liked OK Computer! Once you've digested that, I highly recommend In Rainbows next. In general, you'll find that your taste will likely change over time. My "Top 15" list is definitely different than it was a year ago! For example, when I first listened to OK Computer, I didn't really like Climbing Up The Walls. Now it is one of my favorite songs (spanning their entire career, not just from OK Computer).

Seems like this was on the news recently. I've seen it before (rarely), but it still kind of gives me the creeps. Back when I was working at the shopping mall there was this lady who always used it on her kid. But I quickly realized the reason why she used it is because she knew she wasn't going to pay any attention to her kid and that was the easiest way to know that her child was within reach. Really, whenever she came in the store she barely even looked at the kid, just dragged him around. I'm pretty sure she did it because that was her only "option", because she knew she would get arrested if she left her kid in the car. If we walked too far away from my parents, they would yell at us and/or punish us some other way (not letting us go anywhere, taking away toys, etc.). So we learned pretty quick to stay nearby.
  5. It's gonna be over 100 degrees today. That's over 38 for all you celsius folks. I hope this heat wave ends soon.
  6. Arnie is my friend... as long as it's really Arnie and not some imposter. edit: And to answer the question... it was the god particle.
  7. smart Eddie is smart http://pitchfork.com/news/47077-steve-reich-shares-details-on-radiohead-piece/ Awesome. Since it will just be in London, I'm hoping for a nice recording of it. I'm especially looking forward to the Jigsaw piece. EIIRP is overrated. *braces for thrown stones*
  8. ummm wtf?!? I'm almost tempted to report this on ebay because it can't possibly be for real. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Radiohead-Poster-The-King-of-Limbs-Tour-Signed-LIMITED-EDITION-EXTREMELY-RARE-/271007927358?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f1954cc3e
  9. Tornado sirens woke me up. Drove through pouring rain and hail on the way to work, and dealt with a little hydroplaning. Awesome start to the day.
  10. lolol For about 4 seconds I thought they were going to play it at the Detroit show, but then they broke out into kama popo. One week until their next concert... I'm excited, yet a little nervous.
  11. ^ funny although that could have been a bit dangerous if it had hit the power lines up above *sizzle*
  12. Natascha can frown at me while I'm grooving to Paradise. I can frown at Natascha while she's grooving to ETIAW. We will bring balance to the force at this concert.
  13. :awesome: Yes, that would be awesome! Even if I didn't get to see it personally, it would still make me happy (as with TASOO) that there would at least be a video of the live performance out there. Considering they are enisting the help of Clive, they can definitely pull it off.
  14. I'm kinda bummed they haven't played The Butcher live yet
  15. hey

YO edit: actually I have something a little better but it's gonna take me a bit to have it ready
  18. Hot again today, but at least we have clear skies for the fireworks on the lake tonight. :escaping:
  19. In Rainbows. Sure it might not seem logical from the perspective that it's their 7th album; but that was my starting point when I first started listening to them a year and a half ago. Worked for me. I'm hooked.
  20. OMG A COLLABO WITH ONE DIRECTION
  21. re: the socialist thing, this makes for an interesting read: http://www.forbes.com/sites/paulroderickgregory/2012/01/22/is-president-obama-truly-a-socialist/
  22. I have no idea what that means but it sounds cool. Sigged.
  23. Sometimes I call them Kleenex, sometimes I call them tissues. Kind of like "hey, get me a Band-Aid" versus "hey, get me a bandage". Or q-tip. Or Windex. Or Scotch tape. There's actually a technical phrase for that phenomenon: generic trademark
