Had such a brilliant time last night! The arena looked so beautiful with thousands of colourful wristbands all flashing in time to the music. Unluckily my mum's didn't work, and mine was faulty so it just glowed feebly all night instead of flashing - it's still lit up beside my bed! Charlie Brown is becoming one of my favourites live, so good. Was up in the rafters so couldn't have a proper good sing and dance, but thankfully everyone stood up from Viva onwards so I didn't have to sit down for too long! Bring on June at the Etihad :D

Currently waiting for the City seasoncard presale at 9am, eeeek! K1ttycat if you're on the first tier it's ground level, but levels 2 and 3 have a walk up a spiral ramp. Hope everyone can get tickets! :) :)

It's closer to half an hour's walk from Piccadilly I'd say, but they're building a Metrolink straight to the ground from Piccadilly which might be open by then! Will be very useful :)

Ahh just discovered this thread! I've asked to reserve a copy of the deluxe edition from HMV in town instead of online, I was a bit paranoid that it might get here late through the post! Hopefully they'll have a copy saved. :) Can't wait for some UK dates. I was hoping for them before the end of summer but nothing so far! The presales will be really tense, I'm dreading it!

I only caught the first half last night but I saw the penalty shoot out on a repeat earlier tonight. The teams were such a jumble of people that you'd never expect to see together, it's hilarious! Loved seeing Ricky Hatton score that goal at old trafford haha, he took it really well. I loved how the commentator at the end said something like "and that's it; Woody from Cheers wins it for the Rest of the World!" Completely bizarre and for a great cause.

(just going to sneak in here and change the subject) I'M SO EXCITED! At the minute I'm looking forward more to following the whole tournament, enjoying the occasion and watching the world's best players, rather than expecting England to win anything. I don't have a lot of confidence that we'll go all that far; I'm obviously still rooting for them though and I'd be well chuffed if they proved me wrong. I've got my eye on Argentina to do well as they're one of the 4 teams I drew in a little world cup pool between friends. They've got some amazing players.
