  1. hey what time is coldplay supposed to go on tonight? thx
  2. Great show - but a bit short - but it's a promo tour so they're not playing full length concerts and it's a small venue (so there is some cachet to that). They did seem to have some glitches along the way - chris kept telling his roadie/tech to back when he was on the piano - it was pretty funny, but that's what happens when you don't get enough of a soundcheck in - it makes a difference. Wish they could just play for like 2 hours - they have enough songs to last days. Resting up for round 2 @ 9p - can't wait - A sky full of stars sounds amazing live - forget the edm aspect when you see Jonny, Guy, and Will jamming away - total hit written all over it - it will go up there with Viva, ETIAW, In My Place, and Yellow as those major anthemic songs from each album. W Where are the coldplayers gathering before round 2? sorry i couldn't meet up with coldplayers for the 5p show - i was coordinating a bunch of my friends (most who never saw coldplay live) to get together - suffice it to stay, they are new coldplay fans - they were blown away by how good technically they were - (2 of my friends are in real bands, and toured for a bit). Anyway, Midnight is amazing live - words can't describe what they do with that visually - it must be experienced - if coldplay really goes in that direction - watch out world! that was in another dimension - ethereal and bad as a hell.
  3. Hey all - i live nearby Beacon theater - and am going to both shows - I would love to meet up with all the coldplayers (the legit fans) - let me know what meeting spot you all decided to meet at - I'll pm anyone who is interested in meeting up - what a glorious day it is going to be - I saw Coldplay way back in the day at the Beacon for the X&Y tour - it was amazing then, and I can't imagine what it's going to be like with Ghost Stories - I hope they play most of the album for us (perhaps that is what the Citicard performance may be as opposed to the one that will go live on the radio at 9p) - Viva la Coldplay!!
  4. lyrically more complex than ETIAW?? it repeats practically the same phrases throughout the song. Every Teardrop is way more lyrically complex than Sky - I like both songs - but ETIAW is definitely their own take on an EDM type of song. Whereas, Sky is definitely more of outright blend or straight up EDM song.
  5. smallnshort - where are your tickets? never mind just p'md you
  6. scored a ticket 2nd row bb - woohoo - hallelujah
  7. what'd you do with the upper balcony ticket? and roughly how much did you get for the J row ticket in orch 1? thanks
  8. how are you doing this? constantly refreshing on computer or ? Congrats btw
  9. Yeah Nabil - I just need a ticket to get inside - if you know of anyone that can't make it or what not - let me know, i will pay face value for the ticket. I prefer orchestra or lower balcony - btw, congrats on that pick up - row b in orchestra (which section exactly), and how did you do it - computer, phone or ?
  10. oh man - i would have snatched those up in a heartbeat - how are you checking - phone or computer or ?
  11. I know - if anyone needs a plus one - I'm in - diehard since parachutes. I live right by beacon theater, and you can totally crash at my place (save hotel fees and such). Let me know - and I can answer any coldplay trivia if my diehard credentials need to be verified.
  12. my ticketmaster app on phone - kept giving me error - sorry! The service you requested is not available at this time. - over and over, only for coldplay's tickets
  13. i did initially orchestra like a fool - should have just did best available and leave it that
  14. 1500 for 1 ticket in lower balcony B - already listed on ebay - that's crazy. and mad exploitation.
  15. i tried citibank first - but no luck, damn - that was crazy - congrats to those who got a ticket. I hate this process - wish there could be a fan club or something for diehards like us to pay a fee to have access to tickets like this - there's always a bunch of suits and music execs these things that most shouldn't be - they're there just because it's the hot thing or the latest not necessarily because they like or love the band.
  16. No luck here either for 1 ticket - either standard or citi - this is so frustrating.
  17. Awesome - we need more of these extended suites - coldplay music just needs to broadcast like they do classical music at train stations - we have been truly blessed to get bands like Coldplay, The Killers, and Keane - all brilliant and beautiful music that transcends time itself. Great job - keep it up!
  18. Yup, remember all the hate for it, some fans just can't stand change or something they don't expect (it was like that for the killers w/ their song Human) - but ETIAW is an amazing song, a true whirling dervish type of song, rave like in its enthusiasm - i turn the music up indeed. Yeah Chris messed up the song, but vocally it's a very tough song to sing. I tried to do it karaoke, man, forget it, esp if u;re jumping around like Chris.
  19. Speed of Sound!! loved x & y regardless of the critics - love this live acoustic version. Also, wish they would bring Swallowed in the Sea (one of my all time favorites of theirs).
  20. Us against the world - another classic, beatles worthy - really love the intro on the studio version, wish they could include it on the live version, but guess not. Got to see them perform this @ live on letterman w/o any mics on - like coldplay was playing in your house truly unplugged.
  21. jonny added a few more riffs in paradise - truthfully, i like the studio version better, chris' piano playing takes away from this song esp in the intro build up for me. The studio's intro is amazing, it builds up expectation to that killer synth-like dubstep bass riff being dropped
  22. Charlie Brown another classic on album full of classics - can these guys ever do wrong? Thought it would do better here in the states on the charts though
  23. DLIBYH was also another song that I was not initially fond of - reminded me too much of Glass of Water & Things you don't understand - but man it is an another amazing song, and have to disagree w/ Eno on this one - it's bombastic drive and quality is exhilirating and part of the best ending to an album ever.
  24. Up in Flames - love the dubstep drum or whatever u call it. Simple piano then Jonny to the rescue w/ another masterful riff.
  25. I'll be honest when they first played POC last summer, was not impressed at all, and didn't understand why they were so hyped on this song. But man, it is one of the best songs they've ever written, the production on the song is amazing, the synth, bass, chord progression, and the melody make up such a forward moving song. Like a synth march, I love the little sound fx they used as well, esp the one Chris mentioned in an interview one time, that he left in (though Jonny was like there were a lot of crazy sound fx b4 they edited the song down).
