  1. How can you possibly know that Famous Old Painters is the best song from the Viva era when we've never even heard the full version? :inquisitive:
  2. I suppose I should have added an IMO. You're right, of course, that music is subjective. I should have said that I THINK these lyrics are not good, folks. My opinion doesn't change though. Also, unColdplaylike does NOT automatically mean good. :\
  3. Order is irrelevant. Besides, if I don't get my hopes up, then I will most likely be pleasantly surprised if (when) Coldplay delivers once again.
  4. I very much disagree with everyone who says lyrics are not important. At least for me, good lyrics are essential in a truly great song. I almost think that everyone who is saying that "oh, these lyrics aren't great but the melody will make up for it," is trying to console themselves because folks, these are not good lyrics. I'll reserve final judgement for when I hear the song a few times, but honestly I'm not getting my hopes up.
  5. Viva la Vida >>>>>>>>>>>>> X&Y  Edit: Then again, A Rush of Blood to the Head >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Viva la Vida
  6.
  7. Hey, I never claimed that Chris Martin was a good lyricist. In fact, he's actually an extremely average lyricist . . . on a good day. I was merely contesting the claim that Gallagher is one of the best. He is, however, a great melodist. Same goes for Mr. Martin.
  8. I went with A, but my ideal list would have more Funeral in it. :P Also, Tunnels is obviously the best AF song. ;)
  9. Elton John. :3 He's the only real artist I've seen... The three top bands I want to see, though, are, in this order; Radiohead U2 Arcade Fire Coldplay Muse
  10. No Surprises is most definitely NOT a happy song. :inquisitive:
  11. U2 - Zooropa is criminally underrated. In my top 3 favorites of theirs, behind the Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby.
  12. Win Titles: Alien Radio Arabesque Cartoon Heart Fail Titles: EVERY TEARDOP IS A WATERFALL EVERY TEARDOP IS A WATERFALL EVERY TEARDOP IS A WATERFALL
  13. THAT would be RADIOHEAD AT EASE. Trust me. :shocked2: It's madness over there.
  14. The most popular song on In Rainbows (to Radiohead fans) is easily Reckoner. Then Weird Fishes / Arpeggi and Nude. Videotape, Jigsaw Falling Into Place and All I Need generally come up after those three.
  15. Absolution is Muse's only masterpiece. Too much filler on everything else for my taste. :)
  16. I've only ever seen Elton John. :embarrassed: That was amazing though! Artist that I WILL (probably) see someday live: RADIOHEAD Arcade Fire U2 Coldplay Muse The Killers I'll see whoever else as well, those are just the ones off the top of my head.
  17. But...A Wolf at the Door is in my top favorites. :stunned:
  18. Don't forget the Goldrush! :)
  19. Radiohead U2 Coldplay Arcade Fire Pink Floyd
  20. This thread is depressing. So many Radiohead haters. :freak:
