Did Brian Eno improve Coldplay's music?
Definitely. And he didn't even produce this album, he was more like, in Chris's words, a Dumbledore (:dazzled:) who gave them clues or ideas. Chris even said that some of the most Eno sounding stuff on MX came from the band themselves, and not from Brian. I think without him they would have released X&Y The Third by now.

Charlie Brown song title
I've always liked the title Charlie Brown. I usually love it when they name their songs something that isn't in the lyrics. (coughAmsterdamcough)

Do you like Princess of China?
I think I like it too. :uhoh:

[2-Nov-2011] Coldplay @ 1Live Radiokonzert E-Werk, Cologne, Germany
^That's an awesome story. :D

Coldplay sales Updates
Seriously, it's actually on tv. No one beats Coldplay and certainly not Frans Bauer. I wouldn't even care if it were anyone else, but Frans Bauer makes really bad music (not even an opinion, just fact), and Coldplay are huge over here. I'm a little embarrassed my country picks Frans Bauer over them. :|

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I just stepped into my living room when The Scientist live from Cologne came on the radio, and I sort of froze. What a stunning version. :dazzled:

Coldplay sales Updates
In The Netherlands, Frans Bauer (Dutch singer) has beaten Mylo Xyloto on the album top 100. :|

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
^ I know one Emili Sandé song which I don't really like, but let's keep an open mind. ;)

Official Mylo Xyloto lyrics (from Coldplay.com)
So Chris doesn't remember how he recorded them and he doesn't want to listen to the album versions to make sure. I think some other albums' lyrics have these little mistakes too, on the website. Yeah, what's up with 'poh'?

MX Still Intresting???
To me it's getting more and more interesting, but I'm only at my seventh listen. And that's partly because I'm afraid it might not be good enough to hear many times.

One good thing, One bad thing about the album
Good: flow and cohesiveness, all of the music and individual instruments (including drums in UIF), production, weird little sounds, vocal effects and structure of most songs. There's not too many of their old tricks, apart from the lyrics. Bad: some lyrics, the whole story is not that great, low notes in UATW, too much going on in DLIBYH, and some things or feelings that are missing, I don't know what they are exactly. And ETIAW, which I just don't like. Live it's kinda good, but on the album...

Brian May Comments On Driven By You Sample Use
^^^Agree. The guitarist of QUEEN taking his head off to Coldplay. Too much awesomeness.
-
Am I the only person totally in love with DLIBYH?
Chris said in an interview that Brian Eno thought they left this song too full, and Chris agreed. So hopefully, the live version will be a little less confusing. I think this song is growing on me, but it hasn't grabbed me yet. The heartbeat is awesome though.

Pinkpop concert + Interview aired nov 12
Thanks, I mentioned this in an old thread but no one noticed. The interview is already online, it's in that same thread: http://coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=89387 (I think they will air the exact same interview, not 100% sure though.)

[2-Nov-2011] Coldplay @ 1Live Radiokonzert E-Werk, Cologne, Germany
Wow I heard Paradise until Charlie in the car on the radio and then when I got home... SPEED OF SOUND??!! :stunned: They called a guy who was there and he was pretty euphoric. Sounded like a good one. I really hope to see them in a tiny venue once...

So who else thinks this is by far Coldplay's weakest album yet?
Mine is not on repeat either, I think I hear it once every two days. Partly because I'm 'saving' the songs, but I also don't feel any urge to put them on.

Coldplay sales Updates
It's now Platinum in The Netherlands, which means over 50,000 copies here. (We have a population of 16.7 million people. ;)) I think half of them were sold on the first day. (http://www.3fm.nl/nieuws/detail/351424/Coldplay%27s-Mylo-Xyloto-platina)
