I ussually don't do those complicated finger chords, but I guess it would be a good practice to learn them. What I think it's essentially for (in most songs at least) is to make the transition from one single note to another easier, and with mimimul hand movment. I personally use all four of my fingers and "assign" one on each fret (ex: index to fret 3, middle to fret 4, etc) and them change it around so it feels more comfortable. As you practice this more and more, it starts looking a chord anyways. At least that was my approach. I also finger pick, so I may be different. I'm sorry, I'm a very bad teacher, and I'm not a very good bassist, but I hope this helps at least a little, though you might want to check online from a proper teacher or something (I don't want to mess you up). Unfortenitally, I can't really recommend anyone, since I've never found any straight forward and great tutorials online, but I'm sure someone on this forum has.

^ That would be great! I'm a big 7" fan, and they are very hard to come by, and I'd love to add some Viva 7" to my collection. Also which singles did they release on 7"? I know LiTII was and Violet Hill, but was Viva La Vida or any of the others?

If they do release both, POC to the U.S CB elsewhere, I assume Princess of China wouldn't have any b-sides, but Chalie Brown would. That's fine with me AS LONG as us stateside get the Charlie Brown single with b-side(s) eventually . I can see PoC just being a promo.....that would work out. Plus, who says you can't have two songs playing on the radio anyways. Alot of artists do that.

But Rihanna doesn't release b sides, Coldplay probably will. They way I see it we win either way. Just my opinion though, but if other people don't know CB before PoC, that's there loss.

Something just crossed my mind. Do you think this will effect file sharing sites like media fire? That would completely invalidate the multimedia section. That'd be a serious bummer. correct me if I'm wrong, but file sharing websites are legal, as long as you own the file? I never download songs illegally cause I like the artists to get paid, but I do download unreleased stuff there every now and again, and it seems like with SOPA they could shut it down right? I don't know very much about this subject (I'm not a big Internet fan), but I seems like people could, in theory, use this for selfish gain, such as blocking a competitors website or someone blocking news that would affect there campaign or something. Am I correct in thinking this? Like I said, I don't really follow politics....

The only song I don't really care for on Horizon (maybe I just haven't "discovered" it yet, so I won't say it's bad, as I may come to regret it...) is unknown caller (always felt like it dragged on to me) and I never really got into cedars of Lebanon. Other than that I absolutely love that album. I also really want to see that movie Linear they did. if anyone knows where I can watch it or buy it please let me know. Also white as snow is tragically underrated. I've been working on a U2 singles collection since my Dad brought home some Really early ones he had. Fire, A day without me, 11 o clock tick rock, Gloria, and A Celebration. I have since also bought Where the streets have no name. I also recentlly saw my local record store has all Josua tree singles for sale I think, so one day I may purchase those.... Anyone else got any U2 vinyls?
