LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
..Just got home from work. Didn't expect something like this. I was totally unaware of the video shoots because I was too busy the whole week. Yeah it's happening at last. :bliss:

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Yes it is. At least we have 2 live performances to be excited about.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I think they won't be competing with Adele and 1D so I suppose AHFOD's release would be earlier than that Nov. 27.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Certainly :laugh3: ... and it's a bit annoying actually.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
How long must we wait for it, How long must we wait for it, How long must we wait for it, for it...

Coldplay's companies
I'm most intrigued by Oceans' Recordings. It could be an independent label (in the future) but could also turn up as a vanity label much like the Beatles' Apple Records.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I agree though I want them to challenge Adele. That would be tough :laugh3:

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I don't think it will be the cover for AHFOD... just saying this based on the band's history of great album covers. But I do like this shirt :)

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I think it's about time isn't it? And if they are indeed filming, the first official news about the album proper is just around the corner (be it the first single, or a teaser, or artwork, or track listing).

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Just remembered something.. I think it was during the last leg of the MX tour wherein Chris said that they'll take a break from touring for three years. That's quite accurate because they did not launch a world tour for Ghost Stories. And if my calculation is correct, that break will end on the last quarter of the year (bec. they cancelled tour dates for Latin America back in 2013).

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Although MX and GS didn't match the quality of Viva and A Rush of blood, there are still a number of highlights to consider in these two albums. I'm actually optimistic about LP7 simply because I think they do have a lot of time for the album. Seems like the whole GS era was just a transition period... with no proper tour and out of the limelight. I guess that explains why many here are getting impatient with the lack of news. Let's hope they come back with the hunger to be the best.

Worst Coldplay Songs Ever!
Oceans is where Oldplay meets today's Coldplay so for me it's not one of the worst. It's got a "Parachutes" era vibe but also has electronic flourishes that I do like

New Xylobands for upcoming coldplay tour!
I wish I could get one of those if Coldplay will use it for the LP7 tour. A very kind Coldplayer once gave me a spare xyloband from the MX era and it is still with me until today. The band didn't visited our country on that tour but the xyloband somehow fill up that hole. I'm forever grateful :nice:

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Yeah I think I already listened to that interview. She discussed how it feels like to collaborate with Coldplay and future plans as well.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Quite true actually... This could mean that they are still working on the album (whether they are still recording something at this point or are just doing some finishing touches) or maybe Rik just wanted to tease us fans... will make us eager to wait (or could be the opposite).

Worst Coldplay Songs Ever!
I won't consider Viva la Vida as a step in the wrong direction and it being bombastic doesn't necessarily mean bad. They had used various instruments on that song which I really appreciated. Regarding MX, yes it had many flaws when it comes to production but I have to say that the band did evolved sonically... exploring synths and hip hop influences.

Worst Coldplay Songs Ever!
Death and All His Friends is one of my favorite from VLVoDaAHF... That stark piano melody which suddenly progresses to a climatic finish... my friend that is gorgeous. and I also love Midnight by the way. I guess it really depends on the genre that you want to listen and most especially, on what are your limitations when it comes to exploring other styles and influences.

Really Parlophone?
It's about time they change label :laugh3: or release their albums independently (just dreaming...)

Who else has never seen Coldplay live before ?
I haven't seen the band yet as they rarely visit Asia. I hope they include Manila for the next tour.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
I see you're talking about the logos already. Well, whatever it is I believe it will certainly match the vibe and style of the upcoming era. Coldplay (and their team) are really good in that. They are consistent when it comes to the album/singles cover, font, costumes and tour. Speaking of the upcoming tour, will they name it A Head Full of Dreams tour or will they use a title or a phrase from one of the songs like the Twisted Logic tour (in which they didn't play the brilliant song ironically). And will the album contain a title track (much like the previous albums.. I'm counting Ghost Stories in because they released Ghost Story in the Deluxe Edition). So much to talk about as we eagerly wait for A Head Full of Dream :gossip:

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
It would be great if they include a number of lesser known songs aka not-the-singles songs for the upcoming tour in support of LP7 but I guess the set list will be mainly composed of LP7 stuff mix with hit singles. Especially if LP7 will turn out to be a very energetic album (shuffle your feet vibe)... maybe it will be hard to insert songs like Swallowed in the Sea, Sparks etc. unless they play it on the smaller stage where they usually play acoustic songs and that cool version of GPASUYF/Talk mix (just remembered Jonny's guitar "space-like" effect).

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Listening to a Coldplay album feels like a journey especially the last 3 releases. And I do find the arrangement of tracks vital for the album's outcome. However, it was not very unusual for Coldplay to release versions of their album with additional tracks. Parachutes was released with 2 bonus tracks in Japan (Careful where You Stand & For You), They released Tour Editions for X&Y, Mylo Xyloto was released in Japan with three live songs, and Ghost Stories was released in Deluxe Edition with 3 additional tracks (although Target Exclusive). I see your point though. I prefer a standard track list myself (Radiohead for example). But I guess they release exclusive tracks for promotion and advertisement.

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
IF A Head Full of Dreams will contain only 9 songs that means it would have the same number of tracks with the previous release (Ghost Stories). I don't know if this is somehow related to "AHFOD-day;GS-night" idea... That being said, I do hope they insert hidden tracks like what they did on VLVODAAHF. I know they're done with the double title thing but they can still put two songs in a single track like "O' which has Fly on as the first part. I still prefer quality over quantity at this point. Also, I do hope that they release the Deluxe Edition (IF ever there will be a Deluxe Version of the album) in physical format (CD and Vinyl).
