  1. Happy new year fellow Coldplayers :bliss:
  2. I agree, even MX has Major Minus in it (which is pretty good live). Every Coldplay album is a mixed bag. It's just that the last two releases had become more poppier and mainstream compare to their predecessors.
  3. Though I appreciated Will's drum pad experimentation on Ghost Stories, I'm hoping to hear his good old drums for LP7.
  4. Hi Isha yes, Filipino Coldplayers exist. I've been here since 2011 and I really had a great time in this forum. Welcome and enjoy your stay :) (I really wish the band will include our country on their tour).
  5. 1.The Scientist - Coldplay's fan-favorite classic ballad. 2.Fix You - This song always gives me hope. 3.Strawberry Swing - The hidden gem of Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. 4.Everything's Not Lost - This one calms my spirit. 5.Amsterdam - Still the best closer for me.
  6. HIGHS: - Atmosphere and texture of each songs included on the album -The shift of style -Laser Harps -Will's experimentation on his drum pads. -LP7 is coming soon LOWS: -Lyrics -The era is too short
  7. whoaah, too early for this thread :D.... but i share the same optimism dear Coldplayers
  8. I think it is a good sign that they put more emphasis on making the next album/LP7/A Head Full of Dreams than aiming to play at festivals though it could be a chance to promote a FEW new songs (I said few bec. I'm less enthusiastic on what they did on MX). I still expect it to be lively (in contrast to GS), poppy and anthemic but more of a mixture of styles from their past albums. I don't see them experimenting ala Radiohead. It's really not their thing although you can see the evolution of their music from one album to the next. A release date similar to MX is possible-Fall 2015.
  9. I'm quite busy these past two months bec. of work. I honestly didn't expect the title would be revealed in that manner. But yeah, I'm already hyped up for the next album. I don't have a problem with the title I guess... as long as the album will contain a load of great, timeless songs.

It's just an end of a chapter. not the end of the band :wink3:
  11. Does it mean a 2015 release is for sure?
  12. BooBooBoo, could you give us a (rough) estimate on how many songs the band plans to include in LP7?
  13. "-Will's best contribution since Viva!" ... LP7 will blow my mind if this is true BooBooBoo;5698532
  14. These titles will fit on a MUSE album
  15. Yeah, a label by Coldplay would be nice. They could take time to make LP8 to evaluate and innovate their music. That means there would be no deadline for it but that's perfectly fine. I'm willing to wait for an epic record
  16. excited to hear Miracles but I'm much more excited to hear LP7. how greedy I am :embarrassed:
  17. i think your copy is perfectly fine. The bonus track "acoustic sessions" is actually a compilation of acoustic versions of songs included in the standard tracklisting (my favorite bits are the stark piano version of Every Breaking Wave and the acoustic version of The Miracle (of Joey Ramone).
  18. I still buy the CD version of Coldplay's albums because it serves as a remembrance of a great era and as a personal collection (you know, as a humble fan and supporter). I even scan their booklets sometimes :)
  19. I think their label wouldn't want a record with no commercial and popular significance after the release of their quietest record to date (Ghost Stories-though it has EDM and Electronic elements that are popular nowadays). Music is an art, a form of a brilliant expression for musicians but not for their recording companies. For them music is money. And how will they earn a huge amount of it? By releasing records embedded in or born from the pop culture that is currently prevailing. Well, it doesn't mean that this is the very case of Coldplay's last two records. I know they care for their art (even their album artworks are really good) but that reality certainly affects their song writing.
  20. Think about playing Hurts Like Heaven, Paradise, Charlie Brown, Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall and Don't Let It Break Your Heart in high quality format. Your house will turn into a stadium. Much more if you play Live 2012 :mx:

Finally! Another N. Gallagher album :)
  22. Hi there While that is a possibility, I still think Jonny and the rest of the band could incorporate elements that is basically not electronic. I've been listening to Identikit last year and I'm kinda happy with it. It has a "stripped-down" approach on the beginning with just drums from Phil but gradually turns to electro-experimental type of song.
  23. I just started listening to U2 last year and I must say they are really fantastic. I had a really good time listening to their albums. Now regarding the release strategy of their recent album, I don't care much about it being free because it is such a wonderful gift to the music world but they should've just put it on itunes and let the people who are interested on the album download it.
