I thought it was understood by most Coldplay fans that they operate in a democratic-like process. Anyway, it doesn't matter what I think or what you think. It's a thread of venting our excitement, our apprehension, our distaste etc. Whether you like it or not, I don't think there's going to be much convincing on either faction's part. It's like beating a dead horse. Music and other entertainment is a very subjective thing, I hope that concept is well established by evidence of this thread. If you don't like it, very good for you. I applaud your rugged individualism. However, I don't think you have the ground to trump over anyone else's opinion on such a personal subject (whether I find the traits of the title and the singer to be similar doesn't mean I turn a blind eye to the fact that there are three other members, but thanks for your flippant remark). Yes, I do believe it is quirky and creative. Though the title might not mean a thing, I'm open-minded to the band's decision to choose that title. It means something to them, therefore it must be a parallel medium of expression that matches the ambience and flavor that is carried out through the rest of the album.

I'm pretty sure every one of the new songs we've heard will be on the album. Except 'Moving to Mars'. I could honestly do without ETIAW or UATW, but if they're on there, that's fine and stuff. I know it's a sure bet MM is on, so I lost hope hoping it's not on to leave room for more new material. I'm a Coldplay whore.

I'M SO GLAD SOMEONE POSTED THIS!!! I have been comparing them for a while now (not just their sound, but the way they've been progressing as bands). U2 released 3 albums before they hired Brian Eno to work with them on The Unforgettable Fire. Coldplay also released 3 albums before they hired Eno to work with them on VLVODAAHF. The Unforgettable Fire got U2 far on the charts with Pride (In The Name of Love), and VLVODAAHF got Coldplay far on the charts with Viva La Vida. I definitely see similarities, and I hope those predictions are right!! Eno really made U2 bloom, and he did the same with Coldplay on VLVODAAHF. Coldplay is doing far better than U2 was in their first 4 albums (look at certifications. VLVODAAHF is already diamond in Mexico... but the internet has changed a lot) , hopefully MX is Coldplay's Joshua Tree (Arguably U2's best album aside from Achtung Baby). This would mean that Coldplay could definitely out-win U2 in the best band of the world earlier than expected-- that's if LP5 is good. Mind you, U2 is still making music... while they're on holiday, Coldplay takes the limelight :D

Really? Well, it might be... I haven't looked at the charts, but I definitely hear Talk ALOT more on the radio.
