  1. I think Coldplay should get together with Paul Epworth for whatever they do next! That'd be awesome :P
  2. Yeah I miss the old Coldplay, but right now I consider Viva to be old Coldplay. I was thinking that when the 6th album comes out, I'm going to think of MX as old Coldplay. With much thought, though, I have discarded that idea. Every Coldplay album is good. Every one. But MX is different. It's an okay album to me, but it's just not what I think of when I think of Coldplay. There isn't any sentiment I attach to it. When I listen to MX, I don't get that grand exposure of atmosphere, sentiment, imagery, and depth as I do with the other albums. In a way, that's kind of made MX suckier -- the fact that it can't match the previous albums. It doesn't have a place in my heart and I can't make room for it because it doesn't belong there. It doesn't speak to anything in me (and now you reserve the right to call me a mawkish scumbag). Although this album isn't particularly amazing comparatively, I still have hope that Coldplay will look to write music from the soul again. I hope they will write songs like 42, Shiver, God Put A Smile Upon Your Face, and Fix You that have structure, imaginativeness, and creativity. I hope they make something that seems to express some type of emotion completely relevant to thousands or millions of people around the world. MX will be forgotten in a few months. A Rush of Blood and Viva La Vida will... well, live forever.
  3. YOU CAN ACTUALLY HEAR JONNY!!! :D:D:D:D:D
  4. MX is a good album, but I must admit I think Viva is >>>>>>>>>>>>>
  5. I swear, this album would've been so much better if they left on Car Kids. DAMMIT!!! ;)
  6. YES! It was like finding my Christmas presents before Christmas! GAH!
  7. 1) A Rush of Blood To The Head 2) (sometimes 3) Parachutes 3) (sometimes 2) Viva La Vida 4) X&Y 5) Mylo Xyloto
  8. A bit unfortunate... There's always LP6 I guess! And if that doesn't help them, I'll still love Coldplay! Just not the new material.
  9. Well, pretty much. Yeah. It is a flop in my opinion. It got a lot of attention for Paradise and ETIAW and it's going to get a bunch of attention for Princess of China, but I definitely think it's their worst album. The album is a candy-coated, imagery-lacking, trite-infested mess that was manufactured for the young generation of media-gluttons. The songs are fun to listen to, but that's about it. They lack depth. They lack... Coldplay.
  10. Well, this was a good review. A negative review, but a good one. I'm glad Mylo is a flop. Every band is earned a bad album. It's just the way the world works. 'October' was a bad U2 album. 'Pop' was also pretty bad. I think the reviewer is stupid for going 'cold turkey'. If he really liked the first two, then what's so wrong about still liking Coldplay?
  11. Wow, Princess of China isn't even a single and it's #10 on Itunes.
  12. Well... it depends on what you mean by 'done'.
  13. Well, Mama always said stupid is what stupid does. That's all I have to say about that.
  14. Maybe I just haven't totally warmed up to it yet. I didn't feel anything when I listened to it... I still kind of don't. Maybe I shouldn't have listened to the damn songs before the album was released.
  15. 1) A Rush of Blood to the Head 2) Viva La Vida 4) Parachutes 5) X&Y 6) Mylo Xyloto There isn't much imagery with MX for me. AROBTTH is snowy. Parachutes is warm. X&Y is spacey. Viva is colorfully painted. MX is... ??????.
  16. This song isn't really good... maybe it'll grow on me. It's my least favorite right now.
  17. -The outro to UFO with the weird plucking of the guitar and then the crackling synth of Princess of China. -"Trying to catch a cannon ball!!!" (not just the lyrics, but the way he sings that part) DLIBYH! -The Ooohs at the last verse of Charlie Brown. -The Piano outro to Charlie Brown -The synthy, cosmic texture to Princess of China at 0:09. -1:50 at Up With The Birds. The twinkling guitar and the violin. It's heaven. -The orchestra at 1:19 in UFO. -The Alien sounds at the end of A Hopeful Transmission. -The bass drop in Princess of China when Chris comes in for the first time. The synth echoes out and the bass goes BOOM!!! -IT'S J-J-JUST US AGAINST THE WORLD!! (Major Minus) -The streets ARIIIIIIIIIIIISSE!!!!! Won't let 'em take control no we won't let 'em take control! YES I feel a little bit nervous, yes I feel nervous and I cannot relax, they're coming 'round to geeeet us, how come they come when they donno the facts. -The second guitar solo in Hurts Like Heaven -3:37 Hurts Like Heaven AHHHHH AHHOOOOOOOOO AHH OOOOOOOO!!!! -M.M.I.X sounds like the tuning of an orchestra to me and it's pure heaven. -The chord after the last 'It's Us Against The World' in UATW. (And the last chord of the song) -The Alien 'ahhhs' in Up With The Birds. -The bassy heart thumps in DLIBYH and AHT. -The piano at the end of Up With The Birds. I like this album :)
  18. My mind keeps developing imagery for the album. It's getting better by the day. I'm so happy it has quiet moments. Viva La Vida just seemed like a constant freak show of radically different tunes. This one is more cohesive. The individual songs don't stand alone as well, but as an album it is amazing.
  19. I can see it! Does anyone think that DLIBYH kind of sounds like the song 'Go Do' by the lead singer of Sigur Ros?
  20. The piano outro is probably the most beautiful thing I have ever heard.
  21. ^I was disappointed with it at first. I'm still disappointed with the first guitar solo. You can't hear it when it hits the low notes and it's super irritating. Otherwise, it's awesome! I love it! It's so icy-sounding! Holy mother I love Zoo Station.
