Coldplay album ranking 1. Viva La Vida or Death and All of His Friends 2. A Rush of Blood to the Head 3. Parachutes 4. X & Y I love all the albums and songs, and its funny because X&Y used to be my favorite but after listening through the albums more and more times it just kind of fell in the rankings. I think Mylo Xyloto will probably be 1. or 2. but my expectations are so high that I just hope it doesnt ruin the music for me.

I heard muse is in studio working on there 6th album, Ill have to months for that too, but I can barely wait a week for a Mylo Xyloto leak. HOLY GOD!!!!

After reading the two spanish reviews it seems even though the authors dont like coldplay that much they still like HLH and up with the birds so Im guessing up with the birds has to be some kind of magical

When I saw this thread last week it was at 38 pages, then I saw 234 today, got excited...then got depressed. How has it not leaked? its only 5 days away from the japan release

They should move the release date up to like 8/3 because this is rediculous. usually they release a single a monthin advance and then the album comes out. now ETIAW comes out in june then paradise in september, also they taunt with all these new songs at the festivals. Its like waving a cheeseburger in front of staving child then saying youll have to wait 3 months for the restaurant to open :furious2:

I still dont get why everyone hates ETIAW its a good up beat song and it seems the band has fun with it. Im not really going to judge rihanna on the album till i hear the song

Love charlie brown, but its not even the best song on the album. hurts like heaven is my fav. its all a matter of taste. to me coldplay doesnt have a best song, they have so many great songs it impossible to choose. I heard in a review written by someone who got to listen to the whole album said up with the birds was a perfect closer for the album and it was a "burning of the torch" sort of song. so itll probably be like life is for living or till kingdom come. just hope lyrics are little more...flavorful, Im not complaining Im still pumped for oct. 24th or when it leaks (ill still buy it but cant wait that long) but lyrics arent as strong as previous albums which is to be expected since lyric writting is one of the hardest things to do

pretty good song but it seems all the choruses on this album just repeat the song title "para para paradise" X3 "up in flaaammmmess" X3 "wa-aaa-aaa-aterfall" X3 (its not really the chorus) But theres also song that dont use the title at all- Major Minus, Charlie Brown All in all the songs are great, I mean coming up with lyrics is probably one of the hardest thing to do and for coldplay to come up with all these deep emotional lyrics consisently on past albums is amazing. For them to pack this album with lyrics like in clocks, the scientist, everythings not lost, in my place, fix you, a message, talk, lost!, politik, strawberry swing, violet hill to name a few, it would be a mounumental task for them, still doesnt make mylo xyloto any less of a great coldplay album. For people who say its boring i guess thats a matter of taste but not every song can be fast and packed with sound. Album is suppose to be one entity so the song is like the slow part of the movie that makes a transition of emotion or makes you stop and think. overall 7/10. album will be fanastic

X&Y was an album that you split up or shuffle into playlists because they were all longer songs but this album is meant to be listened to as one listen, kinda like A dark side of the moon. Its also a concept album so its a story, so Im not as disappointed with the short instrumentals as others may be, its going to be a great album. :thumbsup:

She was also asked how long the album was and she said about an hour. Idk if thats the time she was in the listening party and she was rounding up the time but coldplay deffinatley doesnt make hour long albums, they hate long albums. Im sure its just under 50 minutes but the only things i learned new from her review was that MMIX, MX, and a hopeful transmission are most likely instrumentals, DLIBYH is higher tempo and upbeat and that POC works really well with rihanna. another thing that makes me suspicous is that another question asked about chris's vocals on hurts like heaven and she responded with that there were no vocal effects. that doesnt make sence because you can clearly hear backing vocals during live version but for right now i believe her

I'm deffinately going to buy the album no matter what but I want to listen to it now, I cant wait till October 24th, thats just ridiculous, a whole month and a half. If it came out september 24th I could maybe wait, maybe

They have other songs for lyrical depth, this isnt one of them and i dont care, its an awesome song love everything about it, live and studio versions. Major Minus will never be with there elite songs (yellow, clocks, scientists, in my place, speed of sound, fix you, viva la vida, lost!) but this song is just...so...electric, high energy, love the guitar.

I would hate this song if i didnt hear any other songs off the album, but ive heard like 7 and i love them all and they want to make a more popish song for radio i dont care. Theres 14 songs even if 3-5 songs are aweful and the rest are coldplay-great then itll be a fantastic album. People have taken coldplay albums for granted because were so use to them making every song great or at least listenable and unique, at least in my opinion. Coldplay is my favorite (I actually have different fav but that band is not for this discussion) is because, literally, i like every single song on every album and then some. Paradise is the first SINGLE (not song, difference IMO) that hasnt really grown on me. I wait very impatiently for Mylo Xyloto
