  1. :wacky: :jbcm: *faints* :laugh3: Aah... those two, they never fail to bring a smile, and a contented sigh, to my face :loveshower:
  2. Happy birthday! :vuvuzela: And I think you may be on to something with the mandala theory... I certainly think there is more than an even chance that they might have Mandalas as a motif!
  3. You heard it here first :D http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/99898-LP7-quot-A-Head-Full-Of-Dreams-quot?p=5743308#post5743308 and http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/99898-LP7-quot-A-Head-Full-Of-Dreams-quot?p=5740091&viewfull=1#post5740091 But seriously, isn't anyone else up for speculating what the new music will / might sound like?
  4. Rossini - William Tell Overture
  5. Then we'll all be dead (from pulling our hair out) by then and there'd be no Coldplay fans left :laugh3:
  6. The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony:D
  7. I vote True Love first, then Another's Arms to follow... They are really personal and I thank CM for opening up and being direct, but the execution... :o As I've said before, overall GS suffers from being too personal, not in terms of subject matter, but overall with lack of the usual filtering roles the other members play... The songs are the whole band's musical decision but my guess is no one was game enough to tell Chris "no, that can't be on the album..." because then that would really make it too personal. And IMO, the album suffers for it. But knowing the band and their self-analytical ways, they probably realize it themselves by now and will have learned from it :P
  8. On that note (of Coldplay likely returning to the studio in 2016), and also based on the idea by some here that the teasing is not album art / the cover, and that we hear from Dan Green that they will tour soon, is it possible that the poster is to announce the tour (rather than album release date)? *runs away* I was pretty confident that Dec 4th was for the album release (makes sense in time for X-mas), but then Dan sounds fairly certain that they will return to the studio next year? Maybe they return to the Bakery pretty frequently in blocks anyway (and Dan didn't want to say that the album is finished to be released), but my interpretation of it is that there seems to be more work to be done... They could of course be working on a Prospekt's March-type release ;)
  9. ^ Lol we all have been real unobservant haven't we, to miss her book release just a couple of weeks ago? What have you people been doing here - pay attention people! :whip: No !
  10. ^ I know I had to stare at it for a few moments before figuring out it was about X&Y :P
  11. Easy To Please? Mooie Ellebogen?
  12. Low - the parting of the seas?
  13. The Killers - Carry Me Home
  14. The album is MX lol :laugh3: It'll probably annoy a few people but it could be argued that the winning song should probably reflect the album, otherwise what's the point (of the album)... I suppose on the other hand if the band ever take notice of this thread, it might send them a message
  15. ^ Yeah but HLH is magical every time! When Jonny breaks out his guitar solos / riffs, it just takes the song up to a whole different level - it is such an EPIC song!!! There must be like at least five or six guitar riffs packed into that song... Which other song has as many motifs in there, while being also truly uplifting and joyful??? #HURTS LIKE HEAVEN FOR NO. 1!!!
  16. Thanks for posting this  I never knew that they ever played it live, sounds beautiful! Sorry for posting few pages late but just catching up on posts over the last week - my broadband's been down so things have only been drip-fed down :(
  17. Congrats AMDB9! That Talk Halloweenartwork was inspired :) Awesome artwork guys, everyone who posted... Love your work!
  18. Roxette - It Must Have Been Love
  19. Can I just point out that although Moving To Mars may have a more epic and classical rock sound, Hurts Like Heaven is more original... Am I the only one who sees similarities to Space Oddity (as classic as that song is)? HLH is just a beautiful exuberant song that is quite unique to anything else I have heard before :nice: For that reason Hurts Like Heaven for the win!!!
  20. BJ Thomas / Burt Bacharach - Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head
  21. Anyone else getting the vibe that this album will be a bit 'deeper' and involve a lot of reflection? On the surface Amazing Day, the flower of life logo and the Arabic writing are quite simple but I think all of them are growers... Get over the initial dislike about the superficiality / directness and they all do have a bit of substance. I know we're all worried they've gone pop but hopefully this time round it'll have deeper meaning even if the sound / style is mostly pop.
  22. ^^^ hahaha lol What if CP are just trolling us by telling us there is an album to look forward to when there is none... :laugh3:
  23. Shall we keep playing until WeddingDom posts us something? Does anyone else have something for us to guess?
  24. Third Eye Blind - Semi-Charmed Life
