Christmas Lights

Amazing Day may well be the lead single if they're gearing up for a late November/ December release... Does anyone else think it has a Christmas-y vibe to it? It's quite introspective and has that 6/8 or triple beat that tends to be popular in traditional x-mas songs, a perfect song for that time of year. It may even be an independent single and not be included in AHFOD...

Yes! It was the first Coldplay song that spoke to me, which led me to be curious about the band, listen to Parachutes, and then I was hooked forever! It was a dark period of my life and the song seemed to perfectly describe what I was feeling inside. It gave me a voice and helped me come to terms with myself and feel ok about myself and the world

:idea2: Maybe the idea with AHFOD is for us to fill our heads full of our own dreams? That's why silence for teasing? I don't actually recall a period where there was so little news about Coldplay before. Previously if I googled 'Coldplay news' there would usually be a few different items that came up whereas currently it's so quiet... The sound of silence is deafening!!!

That's a bit sad... I thought it might have lasted a bit longer than DLIBYH. Anyway I'm not too greatly disappointed, UATW was coming up soon anyway :P

Coldplay- Careful Where You Stand

Here's a wild theory... Will CP release a new single next month a few weeks before Mockingjay comes out and then follow with AHFOD? Adele has released hers just before the new Bond movie... I wonder whether that's a publicity strategy given she sung Skyfall (for the previous Bond movie)? It would sort-of make sense as I know I think of the previous movies in the series and often then think back to the soundtrack / theme songs. Also for people new to the franchise they might watch the older movies and then look up who sung the song (if it was a particularly memorable one). The new movie's free publicity without the record company / artist having to lift a finger ;)

^ This! Add on Major Minus, Magic, Midnight and Daylight to underrated and most of their early hits to overrated I don't know that any of their albums are actually under- or over-rated... Most comments are pretty accurate although GS may have had slightly less recognition/ appreciation than it deserves

:laugh3: He certainly seems to... Maybe he should consider the old adage about keep doing the same thing but expecting a different result :P He is free to do as he chooses of course, I'm just free to have a differing opinion :D
