  1. [scroll:0c9ad62d6c][glow=blue:0c9ad62d6c]HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY!!![/glow:0c9ad62d6c][/scroll:0c9ad62d6c] :jester: :crown: :juggle: Many happy returns of the day! :D Here's a huugge chocolate cake for you :P
  2. ^ Well, thank you for the article... It was news to me. These big music companies need to get it into their heads that taking extreme measures to stamp out piracy will cause even more problems and end up doing more harm than good. Why turn neutral CD buyers against you by doing copy-protection? They need to stop being greedy - people who pirated stuff probably never would have bought the originals anyway... While not condoning it, the record labels would do better by accepting that piracy does good by introducing more people to an artiste's work, and is good for promoting music as a whole. It's free marketing... people who probably would never have heard of an artiste otherwise might even feel compelled to buy the original after hearing the music...

  4. THe Hardest Part :pleased: "you can't touch them, no..."
  5. ^ I think I actually understand your 'interpol moment'... I've felt like that one and off with Coldplay... Especially when they're about to release their new album and there's been nothing from them for months and all the build-up & buzz & hype gets feverish. Just seeing/hearing anything that reminds me of them triggers hair-standing-on-end moments & goosebumps
  6. ^ Thank you very much... some bling coming your way. It's just that I still find it hard to believe the first version I've known and come to love is actually not the original release (i.e. the one from Trouble)... I like this one far better than the one from Brothers & Sisters ironically.
  7. sueños en un cuarto del hotel - Basement Ghost
  8. It's true, they are getting harder to listen to... It is said that hail to the thief saw them return a bit to their pre-Kid A sound with some songs being their catchiest in a while. On the other hand, the band also travelled deeper into their alien soundscape too
  9. The Scientist. (wow, that's unusually easy ;)) "so much to discover"
  10. ^ Wow... the story just gets better and better doesn't it? :D thanks for the brief synopsis of the whole season... Just what I needed. Btw, any news of Chloe (that's her name again right?) & Chase?
  11. Sorry if I missed any irony there but just to make sure... you do know that interpol refers to international police right? :) Sorry if u knew already, I just couldn't let this one go :P
  12. ^ Is there another version (apart from the Trouble and Bro & Sis versions) that they did for Roswell? So you're saying the Trouble version is the one that's 4:48 mins long, and starts off more quietly with just Jonny + Chris' guitar intro before the drums kick in at about 0:40... While the Bro & Sis original kicks off with all instruments and is barely over 4:00 mins long?
  13. Well said! :smug:
  14. What a player... This is one footballer I"ll always fondly remember :) He really is a super, super finisher... Supersub? Definitely. I dunno how it is elsewhere but over here, the Chinese papers used to dub him the 'babyfaced assassin' back before he got injured. This fella's even sharper than Michael Owen I'd say... Do so look forward to seeing him again. But I agree with Ian, he may not score as regularly again... :( My reasoning is because of the rift there seems to be between the 'older' vs 'younger' set of players... They don't seem to pass the ball to members of the other set. Notice the younger players seem to bypass van Nistelrooy when trying to set up goals
  15. ^Mmm... mmm 1. Milo sludge  2. Listening to Parachutes on a rainy day :pleased:
  16. Yep... it is refreshing. But I would have said that they prolly love each other about equally deeply, though they'd express that love in two rather different ways. Chris would be devastated if Jonny ever left him / refused to remain friends; on the other hand, Jonny would be very hurt if Chris started to show the same level of affection for anyone else (excepting Gywn of course :P )... And jdo145, keep that up... We need more guys like you :D
  17. I'm inclined to agree with you... Chris is quite definitely not gay tho it's a bit harder to say with Jonny. But Jonny definitely loves Chris a lot (maybe becoz Chris kind of takes care of him)... And not in a usual guy/buddy kind of way. That look Jonny gives Chris, and the way they exchange glances all the time, the only other time I've seen it between people who are not lovers has to be between me and my sister (at times when we're feeling very close to each other, we do give each other looks like that). She does give me that playful/grateful/dreamy smile (the way Jonny does) quite often when I'm being the supportive, caring big sis... It's love right there definitely. Though I don't think there's any sexual attraction necessarily, it sure runs very deep. Personally, I just think it's very sweet Chris & Jonny have so much love/affection for each other that they're compelled to express it all the time :pleased:
  18. Being married to a rock star definitely has some bad sides, too, doesn't it...
  19. I should be like, Captain Hijack or something. I made the damn thread and you're never around, mister, so what happens happens. how's Canadia? Serves Kyle right I'd say... He's never around to take care of his thread, ain't that so Kyle? :wink3:
  20. Right now I'm compiling the various non-album Coldplay songs that I have and collecting bits of information to attach to them... I've tried searching for these various bits of info but to no avail. For anyone who helps answers these questions I promise at least 10 bling for each question answered (more for the first two) :D Thanks 1) I have two versions of Brothers & Sisters. The first is the quieter version while the second one has jangly guitars and is more upbeat. Can someone tell me which version is from the Trouble single and which is from Brothers & Sisters? 2) Is the track called "Marianne" or "Sweet Marianne"? Also, does anyone know the dates (as well as performance venues) of many of their unreleased songs e.g. Sweet Marianne, Solid Ground, Idiot, Harmless, Streets of Baltimore, Ladder to the sun (the 1st/orginal version), The World Turned Upside Down (original) etc.?
  21. Some fans have known about / heard this song before the Fix You single was released... There's even been recordings shared around here... We've always previously referred to this song as "Poor Me"... Right up until the band startled all of us by officially calling it "Pour Me" and throwing a spanner in the works. So now, some of us call it by its new name while some of us still refuse to recognise it as "Pour Me" and still refer to it as "Poor Me" Personally, I think both work fine. But the band might have decided to take the less obvious choice in naming the song :P
