Your least favourite Coldplay song
Yeah... No one can say that they shabbily did their songs... Sir Raptor of Nonsense has a point though about A Warning Sign- I thought it was quite beautiful until I heard it during their concerts. The guitar parts just don't gel... Especially when they're doing the verses... the whole song just sounds like it could fall apart at any time. They do tend to struggle when they play this song (unlike say Low or Yellow) :o But I do give them credit for managing to keep it all together

Stealing Sparks?!

What did you have for lunch today....
Doritos? What are those exactly... I know they're some kind of bread-like or pita-like things (or at least made with flour) but not much else. *prays fervently* Please tell me I didn't get that part wrong

Michael Owen to join Manchester Utd
Michael Owen = Man Utd ??? C'mon, get out! Even looking at this makes me laugh  Though it could happen though. But I think at this point, Man U doesn't need him. The type of football they play requires a different kind of striker.

White Shadows
That base-line is just so Guy... Both camp/geeky and incredibly attractive/catchy at the same time :D

'Speed Of Sound' Nominated In VMA 2005 Awards
Totally... those were exactly the things that sold it for me and elevated the video from just another average one put out by any other band. Apart of course from those lights... Those flashing lights were just amazing :o Romanek really captured the soul of the band in an understated manner :)

^ Does anyone here actually have the song (Computer Love) or has listened to it? Is it anything like Talk? You guys, keep posting  I can't believe X&Y doesn't remind you of anything... I still have like another half-page list. Or maybe you guys think its  and :snore: :embarrased: Aww, come on. I know you can do better :D

Politik: Live or Album version?
I love the part at the end when he sang "Everytime I close my eyes, lies.. lies..." during the MuchMusic exclusive. It made the song so much more poignant

Should Police shoot to kill ?
I know what you mean... Like you would have noticed earlier in all my posts before this thread... I lean quite strongly towards individual rights and "innocent until proven guilty". But in this case, my opinion is that the police were trying their best to do their jobs, and I find it hard to say how they could have done it better. Regarding the "give them a bit and they'll take the lot" thing... I agree. But I think you would have to look at the constitutions and laws of the respective countries. You see if it happened in the US, I would say that the police should have had more restraint. But I think the law (and constitution) applies a little differently in the UK. Therefore, I say the fault in this case would lie with the lawmakers/parliamentarians and not the police force. Like I said earlier, they're just doing their jobs the best they can within the boundaries of the law. If something like this happened to my family, I'd be blaming the society as a whole rather than the police. They were trying to protect everyone else

'Speed Of Sound' Nominated In VMA 2005 Awards
You're right, it's not... But it's still just them and their instruments. With no storyline... Unless u call performing some actions that happen to reflect the lyrics a story. But still like I said earlier... Quite a good one for this kind of vid

Fantastic Four (the movie)

Fantastic Four (the movie)
The movie's alright... A bit on the lite-ish side, but thoroughly enjoyable :)

Twisted Logic
Yeah... takes some getting used to. And you need like a guide or something to help you appreciate the song... I know I sure as hell thought it was pretty average (as well as disliked it) when it first came out. Then you lovely guys here pointed out various things about it and I started to warm up to it... :D

Should Police shoot to kill ?
It SHOULD not happen... In an ideal world. Unfortunately we DON'T live in one... We can aim for ideals, but in this situation when it comes down to it, do we have a better choice/option? Yes, I agree that the man should not have been shot. BUT, given the circumstances, does anyone here who's giving the police flak have a better alternative (with less serious consequences)? I say until we find that better idea to stop pilloring the police force and bringing down their morale (not that there's much chance they'd be reading this thread anyway but it's still unfair :dozey: ).

'Speed Of Sound' Nominated In VMA 2005 Awards
For a concert video, I'd say the concept's pretty good... Except I was a tad disappointed that they did another CONCERT video (as opposed to proper long-form vid e.g. The Scientist or Trouble) Which reminds me, they get nominated and win every year don't they ? :D Perenial favourites... Suites me fine :P

Politik: Live or Album version?
I've been listening to the recent live versions of Politik since X&Y was released e.g. Glastonbury 2005, Much Music 2005, VH1 etc., and I've to say the live performances of this song really stands out! In particular, the Much Music performance comes to mind. I've never quite taken to the album version of the track from AROTTH but their new takes on the song have really made me fall for it... I think it's miles better now. Anybody agree with me? :D

Is there a 3rd version of Talk?
There is a 3rd version... As said by Chris & co in one of their interviews (either e-zine 14 or Chart Mag, I can't remember). Whether or not a recorded version exists is another matter, though it'd be so cool to have it
