I was about...third or fourth row maybe. Kind of fluctuating as people moved around. But being 6'1", I was able to grab some good shots! And here's the video of the acoustic Yellow! Bad quality because I wanted to save room for pics, but it does the job!

I almost got a legit setlist off the stage, too. But I got a good look at a few and that said that they actually should have played another song (well really, two) on air. It said the setlist would end with Politik/Trouble. Wish we got to hear that! Not complaining though!

Oh, and so everyone knows, they soundchecked acoustic Yellow (which apparently didn't go on air). And I have that fully captured on my camera. A definite Youtube link in a few hours!!

Just got back from the show! I was around third/fourth row-ish right in front of the catwalk. It was absolutely incredible. Have to take a nap and drive back home to PA, but once all that's done, I (along with all the Coldplayers around me) have a lot of amazing pictures/videos to upload!

3:35 AM. Just woke up after going to bed at 12:45 AM. Now it's time to shower, grab a bite, and make the walk to Rockefeller Center. Only for Coldplay would I do this...

My friend who has been there twice before told me that Sting played 5 songs and Springsteen played 7, if that counts for anything. Definitely not just 2 though. Perhaps 2 on air, but more than that live.

From what I've read, acts play 5-6 songs, but only 2-3 make it to air. So I'm assuming this is going to be sort of a Jimmy Kimmel situation. Setlist guesses anyone? I'd say: Violet Hill Clocks In My Place Viva La Vida Chinese Sleep Chant Lovers in Japan

Hahaha, glad to see my idea come to fruition! Well, I think I'll have on my Viva La Vida shirt from the MSG show. Navy blue, with the big painted "Viva La Vida" on the front. So goes the plan right now anyway! And I'll also be with my friend, known as "the brute from Beirut." And with only that description, you'll probably be able to pick him out very easily. Totally agreeing with you. I was kind of on the fence about it, but once I saw it at MSG, it was such a rocking song. The percussion became really evident live. Now I can't stop listening to it!! Definitely catapulted itself into my Top 5 on the CD, I think.

I can't help laughing about how we're going to be in the VIP pen. Seriously makes us sound like barnyard animals or something! Also, if you go to that Today Show site Pallavi posted, find a link to the "Summer Concert Series Slideshow." The first picture that comes up is Kenny Chesney surrounded by a gaggle of screaming, cowboy-hatted women. However, they all have shiny passes around their necks. Possibly VIP passes? Is that how close we could be? I'd post a direct link, but it's a Flash slideshow, so you'll have to find it yourself unfortunately!

The nice Today Show roadie recommended 9 PM on Thursday to me for front row. So I'd give that a shot if you can. I guess we'll find out if he's right tomorrow!

So the Today Show roadie told me. I think his exact words were, "This is going to be one of the biggest we've ever had." Therefore, once again, thank you, Ian. You are a God among men...or at least Coldplay fans. :D

When I was in NYC yesterday, I stopped at Rockefeller Center and the Today Show was setting up for the "Wedding on the Plaza" thing that they had this morning. And I asked a guy with a Summer Concert Series T-shirt on what I could expect (didn't have the luxury of VIP passes then). He told me that he'd recommend getting in line by 9 PM (normally he said he'd recommend 3 AM) because they're expecting upwards of 5,000 people and this is one of the largest concerts they've had. He also said it starts at 8:30 and thinks it'll go to about 9 or 9:15. (With commercials, I'd assume?) So I'm hoping for 3 or 4 songs? My best guess, assuming 4 songs, would be: Violet Hill Clocks Viva La Vida Lovers in Japan

Thank God I got back from NYC at 5 AM last night and was able to sleep until noon today. (Totally unlike me.) I wouldn't have been able to handle a normal wait from 9 AM until now. These past two and a half hours have been torture... :laugh4: I think I'm a little too obsessed...
