  1. What do you want from the setlist? Personally, I'm afraid that the setlist this time around will be just like that of the Twisted Logic Tour--i.e. essentially the same thing every show with no real changes. Coldplay now has FOUR albums worth of material, plus a multitude of underused B-sides. I'm really hoping they switch things up this tour. Do a Springsteen or U2 and at least switch the setlist up a little every night to keep people guessing (and for us bootleg connoisseurs, give us a little something new!). What do you think? What do you want from Coldplay's setlist this time around? You don't have to write out a whole one--just throw out some ideas. Personally, I want them to do Everything's Not Lost/Life Is for Living as a closer again. Absolutely unbelievable and loads better than Fix You in my opinion.
  2. Any MSG winners get the order confirmation e-mails that were going to be sent out today ("on or around June 6th")? Just another thing for me to be paranoid about...
  3. Reminds me of the concert-used and signed drumstick I have from The Feeling. Are Coldplay fans even supposed to like The Feeling? Will I get made fun of for that?? :laugh4: Regardless, I'd rather one from Coldplay anyday!
  4. And I'll agree with you on that one. Most definitely "God."
  5. You had to do that. So maybe there will be more tickets heading out to lucky people!
  6. Seconding that. I'm trying to attempt it, but I'm not very good at deciphering.
  7. There's one right here: http://coldplaying.com/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=4336 If you want, I can send you the whole text, although I think that's been posted somewhere as well.

The "you didn't get to heaven" bit is perhaps one of the best things Coldplay has ever done. I cannot get over its incredibleness.
  9. I still can't believe Grey's Anatomy cut out like the absolute best part of the song. It made listening to it tonight so much better. Definitely one of the top 3 on the album so far for me. Can't even decide on a favorite yet!

YES! They have to close with Everything's Not Lost. THAT or Life Is for Living. Or both! I'd die...that's seriously the absolute best closer they have. So much better than Fix You in my opinion.
  11. Did the song Death and All His Friends leak? The copy I have just gave me the Grey's Anatomy rip I already have. Everything else is fine though. If someone could kindly point me in the right direction, I'd be eternally grateful.
  12. I had the same question. I think it's going to be the arena itself, but I think they're honestly only going to have 7,000 seats go to lottery winners. The rest will be radio promotions, contests, people who know people--that sort of thing. WaMu Theater just would NOT be the same, even if it were a better view. It needs to be in a massive setting.
  13. For the record, I really hope it's not everyone who got e-mailed today. None of my friends have heard anything (and my one friend created a list of 25 [yes, 25!] e-mail addresses to register for the draw). I can't imagine that only 5 or so odd Coldplayers would hear back. Especially when they said they're trying to give tickets to "real fans." After all, we have to be the "realest fans" they have!
  14. I came forward already, but I'm from PA. Takes anywhere from 2-3 hours to get to NYC from where I live. Did they accidentally just let me win tickets or something, apparently? :laugh4:
  15. What an unbelievable contest. I'm trying to ponder Coldplay sitting in front of me RIGHT NOW playing a concert. In my house. Whoever wins that BETTER be a fan.
  16. I'll be there. My friends and I are planning a day-long campout. Possibly extended to two days if we decide that we're crazy enough.
  17. I noticed that everyone that got their tickets are from NY. I'm actually from PA and about a 2-3 hour drive from NYC and still got my e-mail today! By the way, I also read some blog online that stated the concert was going to be in the WaMu Theater at the Garden? This can't possibly be true, right? With Chris' comments of it costing "millions of pounds" so no one's ever done it before. Really hope the show is in the arena proper!
  18. *odd double post on two threads* Computers can be strange...
  19. I got 2 e-mails. The first was sent at 11:30 EST this morning...and then a second was sent just before noon. They sent out the second one because in the first they said the concert was on June 29th and then corrected themselves in the second.
  20. My Lord... I just checked my e-mail and I won. Can't believe this. Hope to see everyone there!!
  21. This only confirms how brilliant the album version of Lovers in Japan will be. And Chinese Sleep Chant? Whoa. Everything's so...un-Coldplayish, yet still totally Coldplay at heart.
  22. While I remain unconvinced about the Guy and Chris lookalikes, that looks EXACTLY like Jonny. So much so that it's scary...I wonder if they did that on purpose?
  23. It's airing on the repeat on MTV RIGHT NOW in case you missed it the first time or missed the video links.
  24. Really awesome article. A great insight into Chris' thoughts there. Thanks for posting!
  25. http://forums.coldplay.com/viewtopic.php?t=85506 This is the thread where Debs denies it being Lovers in Japan. Specificially, a poster said, "its lovers in japan not death and all his friends" to which she replied, "No it's not!" So I'm more confused than ever now...
