TODAY SHOW (27th JUNE) COLDPLAYING EXCLUSIVE OVER - VIP PASS WINNERS ANNOUNCED
I still can't believe any of that happened. I keep watching the one video where my buddy and I talk to Chris from the crowd and laugh hysterically. Probably the only time I'm EVER going to be that close to my favorite band. Got front row for Keane and (nearly) front row for Coldplay. Now it's just U2 on the list. Hmm, that one might be a bit tougher... :laugh4:

OH MY GOSH. WHAT IS THIS!??!?!?!
I clicked it a whole bunch of times!

AND Chris has a blue undershirt on today!! He finally changed it!

I'm still sad they didn't use confetti at the Today Show!! Loved how they kind of played Jay and his big chin right off stage. :laugh4:

Sigur Rós
http://stereogum.com/archives/tour-dates/sigur-ros-announce-north-american-fall-tour_010540.html Stereogum seems to think so! And I've heard SO many people rave about them. Oh, and Chelsea, if you're going to go poking around in the Sigur Ros back catalog, definitely check out Hoppipolla (which I would rank among my favorite songs of all time) and Se Lest on Takk and Untitled 8 on ()...and well, everything really, but those all stick out in my brain as being particularly incredible.

25-Jul-08: Philadelphia - Wachovia Center - Tickets, Preview, Meetups, Review/Photos
So I got offered a pair 13th row seats (on the floor, dead center) to this show for $325 and I turned them down. Really starting to regret that move at the moment... :laugh4:

Kroq Winner??
I imagine them playing at your house would be much like the Lovers in Japan bit of this video: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/mpd/permalink/m1ORQO4C0D5GL8 Which means it would be absolutely incredible.

Sigur Rós
Just grabbed a ticket to see them in October in Berkeley! I've loved their studio albums and I've just heard so much about their live show that I had to just go for it. But an outdoor show in the Bay Area of CA in October? Going to be chilly. By the way, how amazing is Inni mer syngur vitleysingur? I think it might quite possibly one of the most joyous songs I've ever heard in my life. Oh, and does the beginning of Vio spilum endalaust remind anyone of Arcade Fire? It's another absolutely amazing song in its own right. And I think I might die when I hear Ara batur live. God, I could just keep going on...

Kroq Winner??
I just started a thread about this a few days ago in the Coldplay section! Apparently, someone did win, but no one seems to know who it was. Which is unfortunate, because I'd go stalk out their house...

I saw him at MSG and he was borderline awful. He stands at his little DJ table with his laptop before the main set while playing a video behind him that you should only watch during some sort of acid trip. I'm sorry, a terrible sort of opener to see live (especially during a COLDPLAY concert). And most certainly not my cup of tea.

And I just read that Miley Cyrus was there as well. The stock plummets even further on Coldplay's street cred. :laugh4:

Thank you! Totally missed that, although I could discern almost nothing from it except a few guitar bars. Suppose it's better than nothing, though!!

NO videos of DAAHF yet?? Come on, that song has to be jaw-dropping live. Why couldn't they have at least practiced it at MSG? :laugh4:

New Yorks Time are now critising...Coldplay's MySpace Page
This is exactly why I've been a fan of the Post for years. They don't pretend they're anything but trash, and it's a much more entertaining read than the bleeding-heart liberalism of the Times.

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
Am I the only one who's just a bit disappointed that they're bringing back What If? It's like "old Coldplay" at it's worst and most boring, in my opinion.

Death Will Never Conquer
http://rapidshare.com/files/125171566/Brixtoon6.part2.rar That should give you the live version from Brixton with Will singing. Pulled it out of one of the Brixton threads in the Multimedia section, hope it works!

Death Will Never Conquer
I used that as my album art for when I put the song on my iPod. Found it on Wikipedia, and I feel like it fits pretty well!
-
The Goldrush
Wasn't that referring to today? The free download of Death Will Never Conquer--it's been alternatively referred to as The Goldrush.

Death Will Never Conquer
And that's exactly where it's been. :laugh4:

Death Will Never Conquer
I believe it's "let me flee," personally. I'm bad at picking out lyrics, though!

Have an awesome time, everyone! It's sure to be an amazing show. Roadie #42 says there'll be a techno-y version of GPASUYF. So, if anyone is so kind, please make sure you grab a video of that. I'd absolutely love to see it if it's as good as he says it is!!

Small Reminders/Updates on Coldplay.com (feat. Roadie #42!)
Roadie #42 -- Blog #10 The Scientist, What If, and Speed of Sound are back on the setlist apparently! And the "techno" version of GPASUYF sounds incredible. Someone PLEASE record that tonight!!

As seen here at MSG, as well!
