Petition for 'I Ran Away' live...
Well, few people know The Dubliners or Death Will Never Conquer, right? I mean, unless they're diehard fans like us! They'd probably just think, "Oh, a new song!"

Or is that just what the Oracle WANTS us to think? Yeah, probably not... :laugh4:

27-Jun- 2008: The TODAY Show Reviews/Photos/Videos
Just found these pictures on my phone and realized I never uploaded them. So here they are. Oh, and for the record, my phone has no zoom. Yeah, I was that close. So I can only say--two and a half months later--thanks again, Ian!! :laugh4:

Small Reminders/Updates on Coldplay.com (feat. Roadie #42!)
I said the same thing in the I Ran Away petition thread! :laugh4: It's either that or Will just revealed Phil as the Oracle!!

Petition for 'I Ran Away' live...
I think the band definitely has to take note of what goes on in here; just look at Will's latest interview at Coldplay.com: And where else would Phil get feedback online but from coldplaying.com? Either THAT or Will just inadvertently outed him as the Oracle... :laugh4:

Petition for 'I Ran Away' live...
How good would it be at some concert if you just heard Chris say, "One, two, three, Will..." and this song kicked in? I'd probably die!

Bloc Party
Ion Square has to be amazing live. They were in NYC about a month ago and I had no idea--I would have went and I found about it about two days after the show. Actually, any Bloc Party track must be amazing live. I'll see them...someday! EDIT: And I just found out they're playing a free show in NYC on the 18th. Of course, that's about a week after I leave for college on the West Coast. Wow, can't win!

Obama in my city?!?!
I worked in the Senate in DC last summer, so I interacted with him almost on a daily basis for a month. Really awesome guy to just chat with--he loved to talk about the NBA Finals, as they were going on at the same time. Totally down to earth and awesome. And he (at least he used to) have an Illinois town hall meeting in one of the Senate office buildings every week for citizens of Illinois...or those of us who pretended we were. :laugh4: Anyway, I got to speak to him again afterward and got a picture with him. I've also seen him speak twice here in my hometown, while he was campaigning for the primaries, which was really cool. In fact, you may have heard on the news back in April of two kids who got suspended for skipping gym class to meet Obama--who happen to be two of my best friends. That was one adventure I wish I took part in!

Man, when will they actually break out Prospekt's March instead of continually TEASING us with it?!

Small Reminders/Updates on Coldplay.com (feat. Roadie #42!)
I'm pretty sure that only applies to the Mona Lisa (which is still pretty easy to take a picture of anyway), as they don't want it to degrade, but I think photography is a go anywhere else in the Louvre. Granted, I was there like 4 or 5 years ago, so that could have changed by now! Also, how funny does Guy look in that picture? I don't think he's ever knowingly smiled for a picture before. :laugh4:

Petition for 'I Ran Away' live...
TOTALLY with you. This is one B-side that needs to see the light of day live. Probably the best B-side they've ever done and possibly one of the best songs they've ever done. A shame no one seems to know about it.

Small Reminders/Updates & The Coldplay Messenger (feat. Roadie #42!)
"The rockier feel continues as old In My Place B-side The One I Love comes off the shelf for a play." Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE PLAY IT. Oh, and I Ran Away, too. Actually, they definitely need to play I Ran Away.

Coldplay on The Hills!!!!!!!!
I'll just come out and say it: I don't mind The Hills. In fact, I might even think I like it. I find myself watching it often. For no reason. I don't know what's wrong with me. My name is Shane--and I have a problem.

U2
Basically, there was just a lot of talk that it would be coming out the end of this year, like November or December. And also rumors that the album is called 'No Line on the Horizon.' But then they came out of the official site with this: http://www.u2.com/news/index.php?mode=full&news_id=2249 So, looks like we're forced to wait another few months! But if this quote is any indication, Bono thinks it to be scary good: ‘The last two records were very personal, with a kind of three piece at their heart, the primary colours of rock - bass, guitars and drum. But what we’re about now is of the same order as the transition that took us from The Joshua Tree to Achtung Baby.’

[FAKE FAKE FAKE] REVIEW: Prospekt's March EP
OH MY GOD. I JUST GOT A PM FROM NAVEGADOR SAYING: But screw that, so for all your Coldplaying listening pleasure, here's Glass of Water. Sorry Navegador; I hope your friend doesn't kill you, but this has to be done. Let me know if you want me to take it down, bud. http://www.tinyurl.com/glassofwater

U2
I absolutely love U2! Pretty disappointed the album got pushed back to 2009, as its already been 4 years since we've heard new U2. Regardless, if they've hit a "songwriting vein" as said, then let them write all they want so we get some super-quality tracks. They're also out of this world live. Saw them in 2005 in Philadelphia. Really my first proper rock concert, in terms of music that I myself like. I even sat BEHIND the stage and thought it was incredible. They're the only band that can play an end stage, have people sit behind them, and still make everyone feel a part of the show. (Also, those seats were only $49.50...not too bad for a concert these days--though it was only because Ticketmaster sucks that I got stuck back there.)

[FAKE FAKE FAKE] REVIEW: Prospekt's March EP
The only thing that pisses me off about this being a fake is that Glass of Water sounded incredible. Strawberry Swing and Crests of Waves mixed--my two favorite Coldplay tracks. It was a nice dream while it lasted!
