Oh, right, that one! I remember that now. I thought you were referring to something else :laugh3:. Ha, and I went to listen to "Don't Give Up" and now "In Your Eyes". Yeah. Coldplay DEFINITELY needs to do "In Your Eyes". It's about as perfect a song as any for them to do.

Aw. Eh, well, I'm sure he still treasures the memories. But yes, if he doesn't need the shirt, take it, it's yours, definitely! Either way, though, it's cool that you get to spoil him and have fun with him and such. Hopefully he'll come back around to that music someday. I'm curious about that Boston story you alluded to, I'll have to go look for that. YES. Yes x infinity (god, if I sang with the band, got to stand next to Chris and sing that while we looked at each other...um. Somebody'd have to carry me off the stage afterward and I'd have to pinch myself god knows how many times to be sure I'm not dreaming). That's a great song, too, "Don't Give Up". So beautiful. Kate's part in that song always makes me cry. Her voice often tends to get me all emotional, though ("This Woman's Work", anyone?). Man, we've gotten a bit off topic, haven't we :p? LOL. Good night. Awesome! Kevin's cute! Looks really happy. I pretty much know the big songs from Peter's solo years (and love them-"In Your Eyes" is one of my all-time favorite songs by anyone. If Coldplay ever covered that one, I think I'd die happy) and have heard one song from his Genesis days. And that's about it. But I do love what I've heard from him. Been looking at the site! I'll definitely post a comment/sign the guestbook.

Totally understand not wanting to make a fuss. But hey, you're amongst friends, so a story like that every now and again is fun to hear :D. That's so neat. I've no doubt he probably was tired, but it's cool that he still came over and talked with you guys and signed stuff. If I ever get that kind of luck someday, knowing how nice the guys are about it puts me that much more at ease :). I'll definitely check out your site and such!

That makes me really happy to hear that. It's so funny, he's sort of like Will in that his face seems to belie his actual personality. Sometimes I see a picture of Jonny and he has a look on his face like he'd be the sort of guy who'd be a really cocky jerk or something. But no, turns out he's a real sweetheart and all down to earth by all accounts, apparently. Any guy who's as freely affectionate with a friend/particular bandmate as Jonny is has to go in my "cool people" book. And I agree about his guitar skills, too-his guitar on "In My Place", for instance, is what I imagine heaven must sound like. It's so incredibly beautiful and just makes that song what it is. Loved your story, Row, that's really neat that you got that opportunity (same with you, Tracie, with Peter Gabriel. That's quite the impressive figure to meet!). I'm curious to see this photo you claim you have, too. Does his sweet smile show in it? (Also, Row, congrats on upcoming 20 years of marriage :). Very cool)

You know you're addicted to Coldplay when you are watching Blur's performance of "Tender" from the Brit Awards on YouTube, notice a moment during the song where Damon leans his head down and rests it on Graham's shoulder, and in your head you go, "Ooh! Like Chris and Jonny!" :D.

They sure were. I just watched them on YouTube, since Fuse didn't see fit to include them in our broadcast *Glares at TV*. Definitely fantastic. "Tender" was just gorgeous. The ending portion in particular...I actually got chills. That's my favorite Blur song. So far I only own Blur and 13 album-wise, and know various songs from the other albums. But I'm working on buying up the rest of their catalog. Times like this I wish we had a really cool CD store in my town. Good luck! I'm so jealous of you guys over in England.

Looks like the latest thing up above your post is it so far. I've not heard anything new. If that bit that oldmuckers posted is any indication, though, I'm looking very forward to the new album. I'm quite intrigued about this "dirty pop". And I will make a note to try and see them when they tour again, too. They're another band I've yet to see live.

No, yeah, I totally understand. You're right, it sucks that the media gets so crazy sometimes with celebrities and their families. But even if the paparazzi weren't so nosy, I have a feeling Chris might still be a very private person anyway. Some people are just like that. Fame's a very strange thing and I don't blame him for wanting to try and carve out a small amount of quiet alone time in his life.

I remember him explaining that in an interview once and I really like that. It's such a respectful, classy thing to say and it makes perfect sense. Yeah. I understand what you're saying, LdySpace. But I also appreciate their decision to keep their relationship private. To each their own :).

And I'd happily give Chris up to Jonny. If they are in love, they must go and be together :nod:. It's only right. Agreed. The music is always what first gets me, too. Finding out the people behind the music are nice and smart and friendly and cool helps clinch things. And then finding one attractive? That's just a great bonus :). I know, I've often thought about that, too, if I were to ever meet the guys. I'd try and remain as cool and calm and normal as possible. I'd probably say something to them they've heard a zillion times before, but oh, well. Then after they left I'd blast the eardrums of everyone within hearing range with my excitement :D.
