  1. "New Born" and "Bliss" are fantastic (especially "Bliss"-favorite song off that album. I love how spacey it is). I also love "Dark Shines", their cover of "Feeling Good", and "Megalomania" in particular. And "Micro Cuts" is just INSANE. The notes Matt hits in that song-dear christ, how'd he not permanently strain his vocal cords?
  2. Yeah, I'm curious about this tour diary thing, too! :D *Sings and dances along*
  3. I have no problem with them doing "Paradise". I will say, though, given that "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" is the song that they were nominated for, maybe it would've made sense for them to do that one?
  4. That's okay! No matter what era it's from, I enjoyed it all the same :). Hehe, was wondering that myself. Tracie, I like the mood you're in . Think you got it pretty well covered :D. And well said. I love the way Chris' piano's been decorated for the tour. I want a piano that looks like that.
  5. Ha, don't feel bad, I'd probably make that mistake, too :D. And then if it WAS Chris, I'd kind of have a quiet little freakout in my head :p. No, that's totally understandable. And for the record I was referring to one-off things, live performances and stuff of that sort :). I didn't mean to imply I wanted people popping up on their albums all the time. Every once in a while's cool, but yeah, I want to hear Coldplay on their own albums. Mention of "Homecoming" in here-listening to that now. Love that song. Those pictures are lovely, too. They look fantastic.
  6. Red Pringles Pumped. 'Kay. That sounds kinda fun. Either that or it's the latest flavor of snack food.
  7. Coldplay Muse Franz Ferdinand Crowded House Oingo Boingo (or maybe Blur. Depends on my mood)
  8. Thanks for the link. Song sounds catchy. *Dances*
  9. I'll need to go listen to that interview, too, I missed hearing it earlier! Glad to know it'll be up for a few days. :laugh3: Amen to that. I like the idea of a hug from Chris. Very much :). GUH. That whole picspam was fantastic, though-it's so hard to pick favorite pictures when people do picspams like that ! I'm single, too, Mara. Let's do what my friends and I did this past weekend and celebrate being single! We're free to gaze at any hot men we want, including Chris :D. And imagine him as a boyfriend or husband. Oh, I enjoyed. I enjoyed very much . Thanks for that "Daylight" clip, too, will watch that soon here.
  10. Much thanks, jc90, will definitely be watching this. I love Chris' weird fashion sense. Somehow, what shouldn't work on most people, he manages to pull off.
  11. Agree with this completely. He does have some definite confidence issues, yeah. I mean, they're grown men, so they can handle it, not everyone will like what they do. And I certainly agree that constructive criticism is necessary, that an artist of any sort shouldn't just have "yes men" around them all the time prasing every last thing they do. Absolutely true. But yeah. I dunno. It's hard for me to be too critical of anything I love, be it music, movies. TV, what have you. Certainly I have my personal dislikes-songs I don't care for, albums that aren't their greatest (or if it's a TV show, episodes that aren't my favorite, and so on), and I do share those opinions when the situation calls for it. But I guess because it's hard for me to find people where I live who share my interests, I'd prefer, when I find others who like something I like, to talk about the good stuff and not weigh so much on the bad. And if I don't like something, I don't presume that everyone else should hate it, too. Everyone's opinions will differ. If you like it, fine. If you don't, fine. I guess also I can kinda relate to Chris in the "lack of confidence sometimes" department, so that might factor into my reasoning, too.
  12. *Suddenly feeling pleased to be single :p* Ooh. I want to hear that. Must hunt it down.
  13. Yay for awesome teachers :D! That's incredibly cool.
  14. Cool, thanks for the info :). Look forward to hearing about all of this, and hopefully seeing some footage as well. Good luck to the guys!
  15. Ah. Thanks for that clip. Quite a good rendition of the song, I really liked that :).
  16. *Blinks* There's a sentence you don't hear every day ! Makes me wonder just what the hell goes on on the tour bus :p. Oh, yeah, no doubt.
  17. Ah, okay. Man, Armani does have some seriously nice clothing under his name, doesn't he? Hehe. Agreed. Totally agreed ;).
  18. Yeah, it's been shared in the Chris thread, but hey, always fun to see it again, it certainly fits here :). He looks so happy. That's enough for me.
  19. I really like that jacket on him for some reason. I don't know why. It just looks nice. And sparkly :). Cool, thanks, I'll keep that in mind .
  20. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have performed at the Super Bowl already. They did so a couple years ago. I'll have to go back and check what their setlist was. Unfortunately, yes, this would be an issue. A lot of people here in the States like to knock on Coldplay as "wimpy" music as it is, and I can imagine the confusion some would have with them being at the Super Bowl, and the teasing that would ensue. I'd love to see them there-I don't care a whit about football, but I'd gladly watch the halftime show to see them. And I definitely think they'd make a great act. But the stupid attitudes of some people will make that a bit hard, unfortunately :(. Course, if people seemed okay with Madonna performing...maybe they have a shot :). Exactly. Even if people don't know the specific names of the songs, a LOT of people are familiar with, if not outright love, the Foo Fighters' music. I certainly agree they'd be a big draw at a halftime show, no question. Lady GaGa would fit well now that Madonna's done it and survived fine. I could see Metallica or AC/DC being there, and yes, if Van Halen doesn't kill each other, they'd DEFINITELY be a possiblity.
  21. LMAO, Row, I LOVE that shower smiley thing! That's brilliant. And very appropriate :D.
  22. Chris did say he was a bit ill recently, right? I chalked it up to that. To be honest a lot of the performances had weird sound quality to them-I think the acoustics in general were just not that strong for some reason, and a lot of people sounded "off" as a result. I still thought it was a good performance. I'd certainly rather listen to "can't sing" Chris than whatever the hell it was Nicki Minaj was doing. I liked "Princess" on acoustic-the original performance would've fit more with the overall show, but I'm glad they went acoustic for it instead and changed things up a bit, and the segue they did from Rihanna's own song to their duet to one of Coldplay's songs was a neat idea. Ooh, I've not heard this. Can this be found anywhere? *Is curious*
  23. Eyes...pretty, pretty eyes... Facial expression's a bit strange, but oddly enough, that makes this one work even more, somehow.
  24. Indeed he was. The Grammy photos shared here...GUH. I'm with everyone else, Chris in black is just hot. I liked the clip shared, too, of them cheering during the Foster The People/Beach Boys performance (love "Good Vibrations". One of my favorite Beach Boys songs). :laugh3: Hear, hear! Hehe. Good catch. I'm also glad to know I wasn't alone in my reaction to the one picture where it looks like he's blowing a kiss. *Keeps looking back and forth between Chris and what's reflected in the mirror behind him* Sorry, Row, did you say something? (Woo to 500 pages, and ah, Row, we can always count on you to give us a droolworthy picspam. EXCELLENT picks to get started with *Just keeps scrolling back and forth between them*) I like this new way to fix the pictures, too, shall have to look at that as well.
  25. Haha, oh, wow, that's kinda neat. I personally would have no problem hearing them sing with Adele somewhere. Or at the very least covering "Someone Like You"-I know Chris said he loves that song, so it'd be neat to hear them cover it. And Lady GaGa could be...an interesting choice. Her wild outfits mixed in with their current day-glo color motif, could lead to something really out there. Katy Perry, on the other hand, I don't see that as a fit, no.
