  1. :shocked2:...ummmmmmmmm, 'kay, so I'm just going to go be off by myself for a bit if you guys don't mind. (That last one. The look on his face. That is...wow *Gets shivers*)
  2. Give that guy a "best boyfriend" award! That's so sweet. Coeurli, I like yours, too. I have a friend who's not all that well-versed in the band's stuff, too, so I'm really excited to have her coming along to see the band in August.
  3. I think the pictures are nice and very sweet, but I fully understand what others are saying, too-if that were my kids, I'd feel weird with their pictures online. That'd be awesome :D. Ah, yeah, I didn't think about specifying which video in relation to that song, heh. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9Kcg_8gK30&ob=av2e]Coldplay - God Put A Smile Upon Your Face - YouTube[/ame] It's at about 2:11 or so into the video-the part where all four of them are in that white room kinda bopping along to the song. I was watching the video last night and kinda thought, "Hey, that'd make a neat gif or screencap or whatever." I just think it's a cute shot of the guys :). Thanks in advance-I wish I knew how to make gifs, I've never tried it, but I think mine would turn out crap :p. Oooh. I shall have to watch this later after work, then! It's 44 degrees F here, which for a winter-lover like me, kinda ticks me off. But we are supposed to get snow this weekend, and I don't work this weekend, so it's a good time to stay in and curl up with Chris...pictures :p.
  4. I love that song, too. Particularly Jonny's guitar-that's the best part of the whole song for me. It's so relaxing and pretty.
  5. For all those out there who are gifted in making cool gifs and such-I was wondering, does anyone happen to have, or could they make, a gif of around 2:11 or so from the "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" video? 'Cause if so, I'd kinda like that-for some reason, watching them all rock out together at that point in the video amuses me, and it's kind of cute.
  6. Ergh, yeah, NBC's very touchy about that stuff. I know there's ways people have gotten around that to post the things, but I don't know how to do it. Maybe, hopefully, someone'll figure it out. Lucky anyone who was there. I really liked that performance, and the interview... ...and yes, Jimmy and Chris doing the worm :D! That kinda made me go, "Squee!"
  7. Why do you think I picked it to focus on ;)? Edit: HA! Nice one, Kristal!
  8. Like we'd complain about seeing repeats of Chris pictures :D. I have no memory of seeing these particular ones, though, so hey, they're new to somebody, at least! I like the one of him brushing his teeth :p (random?). That's a really cool shot. And that's just hot. But heck, you could say that about all these pictures, so...
  9. Haha, yeah, I've done the whole "cold"/"play" tie in, too. My dad always used to say that I could connect anything to my favorite musicians/actors, and, um, yeah, he was right . Yeah, I'm looking quite forward to it. I've never seen these guys live before, so it'll be fun to finally get the chance. And it's the first time too that I'd be going to a show with friends instead of family (love going to shows with family, but, you know, it's nice to find friends who want to go, too). I'm excited. I'm glad you're getting to go, too. I remember seeing something on TV once where they blended those two songs together, but I don't remember "God Put A Smile Upon Your Face" sounding like that. That sounded really cool, I quite liked that performance (and I love the way Chris ended the whole thing on the piano :D). Thanks for sharing it.
  10. I like both versions of that "Sexy and I Know It" video (the end of the longer version alone pretty much clinches that one's awesomeness). There's some fine, fine shots of Chris in both of them. And now I will never, ever be able to hear that song without thinking of Chris. Which is a good thing. If Chris were sitting next to me, I'd probably not be focusing all that much on the computer :p. Quite the closeup shots there, my god! Nice stuff. *Swoon* The era that finally woke me up and made me go, "Wow, Chris is hot. Where have I been all this time?" As for the song-happiest-sounding tune about being dethroned that I believe I've ever heard :D. Man, that music is enough to get one pumped up for the day. Loved that performance of "Clocks" with Alicia Keys shared here, too, that was pretty freakin' cool. (So. Alicia's gotten to hang out with Chris Martin, Stephen Colbert, and Bono (three men I love), and she's gorgeous and talented to boot. Yeah. Life is totally fair.) I know the picture's all lopsided, but still...preeeeeeeeetty...
  11. "Viva La Vida" and "What If" right now.
  12. Sweet :). I hope that happens.
  13. Oh, god, I remember that show! Yeah. It does look pretty freakin' cheesy, doesn't it :p?
  14. Indeed :). Thank god for living in the internet age. Techno version? I've not heard that, I'll have to track it down. My friends and I are working it out so we can go to one of the Chicago shows in August. So yeah, looking forward to that as well :).
  15. Nothing wrong with checking stuff before you head off to work/school! I've done that before, too :D. Gotta keep up on the band discussion, right? LOL at Comicforce's responses . He looked slightly psychotic there :p! But he was sure having fun. I love watching Will during that song, 'cause you just know he's thinking, "All right! FINALLY I can beat the shit out of these drums!" I'm kinda sad Chris doesn't sing the full lyrics to that song, but then I watch them all rocking the hell out and think, "Eh, well, it's not that big a loss." (Love watching Chris and Will singing together on "Us Against The World", too. Aw :))
  16. I fully agree that vandalism of property is a horrible way to get one's message across. It makes any sort of point you are trying to make be taken much less seriously, and it's annoying as hell (and you're vandalizing property and bothering people that may have nothing to do with the problems you're upset about, they just have to work there and are doing their daily job like everyone else). As for burning the American flag, it's not my choice for protest method, and I think often it's done purely for shock value rather than to actually, you know, make a point. But I'm not going to stop someone from burning a flag, 'cause it's a piece of cloth. I'd rather have them damage a piece of cloth than break windows and steal people's things. I support what the "Occupy" movement is protesting, the problem is, I've said to other people in discussion, I think people in the States are on protest burnout. We had the Tea Party, we have this, we turn on the TV every day and see all the protests around the world for reasons that may or may not be much more valid than whatever we're protesting, and everyone's just tired of it. Add in that some people at protests are there just to say they were there and part of something, and the unfortunate stereotypes and whackjobs that get tied to a protest (which is always bad if it's the people on the side you disagree with doing the protesting. When it's your side, however, free speech for all!). Which is a shame, because I think nothing is more frightening to the powers that be than people taking to the streets and delivering a strong message that they won't take the crap they're dealing with lying down anymore. There is a good, genuine movement within the Occupy protestors, they just need to figure out a way to properly harness that anger and energy into productive measures that will actually get the politicians to do something. They need to start fighting harder for stuff like what chuck mentioned to become reality. Ideas which I fully agree with. These, however, are new to me. I really like #4, I think that's an excellent idea, and #3 sounds interesting in theory, I just don't know how well it'd work in practice (what's "honest" and "accurate" to some people can vary wildly). It'd be neat to do a test run of that idea to see how it would go over.
  17. Wise move. He can go hang out with Beyonce and we can sit here and look at Chris. Win-win all around!
  18. Hahaha, oh, god, no kidding. It's all in fun, Gwen! We mean you guys no harm!
  19. Well, I figure, you can get whatever she's drinking anytime anywhere. But there's only one Chris :D. Caroline, I just noticed your avatar! That's adorable. And hilarious!
  20. I vote the latter of the two :p.
  21. Yeah, what the hell's up with that? *Curses mail system* Seriously, that is an awesome picture. Looks like a volleyball net there? Chris and Jay-Z playing volleyball, now that I would like to see :D.
  22. ^That quote's from when they were on "The Colbert Report", isn't it? I love that interview. I like that explanation :laugh3:. Which is why he's so wonderful!
  23. Beautiful lyrics. Beautiful song. Just perfect from start to finish.
  24. That is such a weird, incredibly cool song. You could quote the whole thing, the lyrics are so good.
  25. So many pretty colors in those last couple pictures... Love that one of Chris jumping, too. He's so excitable on stage. I just watched that Isle of Wight thing from a few pages back-that was awesome. Absolutely LOVE the way they ended "Clocks" (that was actually really...intense...in a very, very good way), and only Chris can hop around the way he did during "White Shadows" and make it look sexy as hell (and pulling Jonny onto the ground next to him at the end? Awwwwwwwwww...). Also meant to say earlier: Thanks for that, now I know where that one gif came from. That jacket actually worked quite nicely on him. Very interesting, weird interview, though. Chris looked kinda confused :p.
