LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Also true for Ghost Stories: Posted on 11 March, that's after we got to hear Midnight and Magic.

Get Chris Martin to The Netherlands!
According to the FAQ you can still get a refund if it turns out you can't go: I have a driver's license so maybe I could provide transport. (no certainty on that yet though) This would be too good to miss!

New Coldplay Timeline on Coldplay.com May 13, 2015
Looking at his Twitter timeline, he often tweets pictures of modular synths. But could this be the first time they are associated with Coldplay directly? (with it being posted on coldplay.com)

New Coldplay Timeline on Coldplay.com May 13, 2015
This is exciting! Is the article actually from yesterday? Did anyone see it before today? I didn't see it mentioned on the forum. The new website layout is very bright and colourful – as we expected the style of the new era to be. This picture reminds me of this one Nigel Godrich from Radiohead tweeted.

Video and audio quality of "Live 2003" / audio settings
Regarding the video quality, I think it's just the fact that it's a DVD, and DVDs don't have great video quality most of the time. The audio could be messed with by the player you're watching it on. I remember noticing that the audio went noticeably quieter when the music went louder and vice versa. At first I thought it was the DVD, but it turned out to be the "Dolby dynamic range compression" in the DVD player's settings. It's a setting that makes the audio the same volume throughout –*which might be what you want for movies, but is terrible for music. (Spotify has a similar setting turned on by default by the way; if you listen to Spotify, turn it off! It really screws with the sound.) Of course it might just be the fact that it's 9 years older than Live 2012, as was suggested above. What does the CD sound like in comparison to the DVD? If the CD sounds significantly better, then something might not be optimal in the DVD player setup. As for the audio settings of the DVD itself: if you don't have a surround sound setup, you should probably leave it at stereo.

How much of it are they faking live?
I just looked it up in mine, and it's The Scientist: "Additional guitar on The Scientist and Yellow – Matt McGinn." Edit: Can't find any such credit in the Live 2012 (which contains The Scientist again) and Ghost Stories Live 2014 booklets. So I guess Matt has been replaced by a backing track on The Scientist (perhaps unsurprisingly).

How much of it are they faking live?
Indeed, if you listen to Yellow on Live 2003 there's an acoustic guitar in the background that we don't see played live, and it doesn't sound pre-recorded to me. So that's probably Matt playing off-stage. Same thing for The Scientist (after Jonny finishes his acoustic part of the song). Maybe there are more examples from back then. These days though, the acoustic guitar we hear in live performances is often straight from the recorded version of the song. Even when Chris is playing the guitar; sometimes you can hear both at once. Kinda sad, I'm not sure why they do that.

How much of it are they faking live?
A couple of days ago (on May 7), the Oracle answered a question regarding backing tracks again. At the end of the answer she states: Would she actually believe what she wrote there?

The broken guitars from "God Put a Smile….."
The Oracle answered this on November 19, 2012; they were usually fixed if there was any damage: http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/threads/48380-Ask-the-Oracle-on-Coldplay-com-(Now-in-session!)?p=5468375&viewfull=1#post5468375

Saddest lyrics in a Coldplay song ?
That's right, Another's Arms and Always In My Head were performed at the iTunes event shortly after the release of Magic, and before the announcement of the separation.

How much of it are they faking live?
According to the Oracle, Will does start the backing tracks, although not always: "He [R42] does sometimes set off click tracks - as does Will - but (…)" You can find the question by searching "click track" on the Oracle page; I'd link it directly but I don't know how to find out the question IDs. You can find other questions where she mentions it, for instance by searching for "backing track".

Main site feedback
On the forums too, yes. I checked a few websites and indeed, on some –*not all*– I get the same message… I also checked the console on Safari for iOS (8.2): there's no errors there.

Main site feedback
Still getting the same error message.

I'm using Safari on OS X (latest versions). I do see ads in other browsers.

Main site feedback
I like it; looks clean. A couple of things (that might be very nitpicky): My browser windows usually aren't very wide, and in the narrow mode the page elements are laid out with a lot of wasted (vertical) space: But I realize that might be hard to improve in a straightforward way. Maybe the margins between the elements could be reduced slightly in the narrow view? I don't understand the distinction between the two menu bars very well. Is there really a need for two? It's worse in the narrow view though, so maybe that's why it's bothering me. There's a link "Forum" in the upper menu, and "Community" in the lower one; feels a bit redundant to me. The "Forum" and "Multimedia" links in the upper menu open links in a new window / tab; the links in the lower menu don't. I would personally prefer none did. The top menu has a bold font while the other is in all caps, non-bold. A lot of links under the "Community" dropdown feel redundant to me; you can get to most of those just as easily from the community homepage. I think 25 items in the "slider" (as it is called in the html of the page) is way too much. The posts go back almost a year, while I'd think the purpose of such a slider / carousel is to highlight what's new? 5 items would be enough in my opinion. Also the very last link ("Coldplay announce promo tour dates for intimate shows - View them now!") in the slider is screwed up: the link redirects to here (returning a 404) and the image links here, which doesn't seem to be the right post either. (One last thing: it seems like the ads are being blocked somehow, even though I don't have an ad blocker installed. This is the error I get in the console: "Blocked a frame with origin "http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net" from accessing a frame with origin "http://www.coldplaying.com". Protocols, domains, and ports must match.") I'm sorry if I sounded too negative here; all of these are very small, nitpicky things. Keep up the good work!

LP7- "A Head Full Of Dreams"
Yeah, don't get your hopes up too much I would say :D I got really excited when the duration of the Ghost Stories tracks appeared on iTunes, with O being 7 minutes and 46 seconds long. But nope, it turned out to be two different songs with a 2-minute gap in between.

All Your Friends
I recently noticed this: The coldplay.com shows "Fly into the sunset and away they go" (twice). I don't hear "away they go" though. All I can hear is "away they're blown" or "away they blow" or something like that. Maybe it was too dark of a lyric to have it written down on the website?

Deluxe (Target) album cover background
Here's a higher resolution version: http://i.cubeupload.com/IwfH1r.jpeg I downloaded it from Target's website before they put that annoying 'sticker' overtop it: deluxe-edition-only-at-target/-/A-15261659 It's roughly the same resolution as the artwork of the (non-deluxe) art that the band put on their website: http://www.target.com/p/coldplay-ghost-stories-

Ghost Stories Live 2014 out 24 November
Sadly, I have to agree. Aside from the lacking quality in performance, the production isn't as great as with previous releases either.

Royal Albert Hall Songs on the Ghost Stories Live 2014 CD/DVD
It seems like they edit these songs rather heavily. This is not a direct answer to your question, but compare the radio broadcast of Ink in Casino de Paris to the CD version. It sounds like Chris's vocals are from a different concert. During the radio broadcast he was singing pretty loosely, not as much on the CD. Audience cheering / clapping is sometimes mixed between concerts as well. Watch the end of Ink on the DVD: you can hear people start clapping before you see them doing it. So indeed the songs could be mixes from both (or maybe even other) concerts. One last thing: if you play the the Ink video synchronously with the CD version, you'll notice that the audio is exactly the same.

Ghost Stories Live 2014 out 24 November
The DVD picture is very blocky, it doesn't seem like DVD quality to me. If you're buying the DVD, you'll have to watch it from a distance. As if they want to encourage people to buy the Blu-Ray instead. An interesting detail though:
-
[19-June-2014] Enmore Theatre, Sydney, Australia
Is it me or did they shorten Clocks even further?
-
[28-May-2014] Casino de Paris, Paris, France
Wow the internet stream sounds really bad. Is there a quality setting I haven't noticed?

iTunes First Play
If anyone doesn't have the ability to play it via iTunes, I have the URL iTunes is streaming from, on Apple's servers, so you can download it directly.
