  1. Who else is attending this concert?!? Will we be the first to hear some new songs live?? I love the setlists that have been played.. but I would love to hear LIJ..
  2. rather be "sane" makes more sense
  3. Yeah I know I keep venting but I just saw that Stevie wonder had the longest set of the weekend at 2 hrs.. Please coldplay just play 90 minutes..
  4. Yup I know but it just upsets me that they aren't even playing at the main stage! Kanye the headliner over coldplay..cmonnnn
  5. The schedule is out and coldplay is set to perform 75 minutes... w t f
  6. Good setlist but no lij.. In sure they'll play when it during longer sets on their upcoming tours.. Festivals setlists are always shorter
  7. How is lij not played?!? That's a clear staple from vlv album
  8. Purchased Friday and Sunday!!! cant wait!! new album material?!
  9. I definitely not dogging X&Y. It's an amazing album. To this day, I dont know why or how A Message didn't make it as a single. It's beautiful. Top songs for me are A Message, Swallowed In the Sea, and White Shadows. The HArdest Part is a fun/upbeat song too.

overproduced as most people have said many times before. Want proof?? Listen to the KCRW gig from 2005-03-12. After hearing speed of sound over and over and then listening to the album version, I was shocked to hear how different it was... A Message from the KCRW gig is AMAZING, i love it!! Way better than the album version..Anyone else feel the same way?? Sorry if this was a bit random, I was listening to the gig and cant get over how great the songs are in a stripped down version.
  11. It's just amazing...Ashcroft is a genius.
  12. RPA & the United Nations of Sound I am a huge Coldplay fan so everyone knows I have a good taste in music :D...so... yeah, Richard Ashcrofts new album is AMAZING. It's so incredibly uplifting. Just listen to "Let My Soul Rest", "Royal Highness" or "This Thing Called Life". I am hooked and I'm sure most people here will be too.
  13. It's very depressing that this is the end of the Viva era.. It was special in many ways. I was lucky enough to go to 3 Viva shows and each one was special in it's own way. Seeing Coldplay live isn't like seeing other bands live. The way the VIVA shows made you feel is something people need to experience at least once in your lifetime. I feel bad for anyone (including non-coldplay fans) that missed out on the opportunity to see Coldplay perform their Viva show. After the X&Y tour I said to myself "Man it sucks that's its over but I'm sure Coldplay will come back with a even better album and better tour!" I was right! But I feel different now..I'm now thinking "wow its sad that the VIVA shows are over..Im gonna miss it. I hope during the next your they include some reference to the VIVA tour, maybe during when they perform VLV they can show the backdrop or VIVA logo or something" Even if the band comes out with something else amazing (I'm sure they will) I'm going to miss it, the outfits, the confetti, LIJ background video, the amazing intro of LIT..everything. Thanks Coldplay! Does anyone else think the VIVA show was 10x better than the X&Y show?

Chris has said it would be great if the band could release albums every 2-1/2 years. One can assume the next album is going to released in a shorter time than it took for VLV since they have been working on the new album since April-May of 2009. Remember the 20/20 interview??
  15. San Antonio, TX Houston, TX
  16. Thanks, you all are awesome
  17. This question has been in my mind for a while now. Chris has auctioned off his one and only (I think its his only one right?) Viva jacket. There are shows coming up in Latin America and Mexico. Are these shows gonna be set up the way the past Viva shows have been?? Are we going to hear some new material maybe?? It's hard to believe Viva has been out for a 1 3/4 years already!! It still feels like the Viva era!! Anyway what does everyone think!?
  18. LIT - AMAZING opener. The lights, the cover screen during the song are amazing. Its more of an opener though but LIT2 has a good chance of making the next tour. COL - Great song, just not that popular, nope. LOST - maybe.. maybe a slower piano version. 42 - possibly LIJ - a must! YES - nope VIVA - of course VH - maybe but leaning toward no SS - probably not DAAHF - its a closing song, probably not

  20. -Chinese Sleep Chant -Speed of sound +glass of water + Life in technicolor ii + billie jean a longer set so to speak.
  21. Great show last night!! Took forever to get home though (330 am) I was in 103 row q right in the middle of the row. I went to the 1st houston show and the san antonio show and I gotta admit, I think the crowd was more into it at the sa show.. or maybe it was just the people around me.. not sure. Despite that, The guys did great tonight and seemed really in a good mood talking to the audience throughout the show. It was my first trip to the venue and have to say it's an awesome place to see a concert, the atmosphere is great! I took some pics and video and I'll add them in the near future. Again, great show by the guys as they really fed off the crowd although I do wish the people around me were a bit more into the show. Many people were sitting down during songs, It seemed like I was the only one standing during DAAHF until the the drums kicked in. Anyway, great show and performance by the band!!!!
