All songs on AROBTTH are perfect. Boom! :P Seriously though, it's the only album that doesn't have a single weak spot for me. It will always stand out as a masterpiece. [smoke is rising from the houses]

When I say "some airplay" I don't mean it was like a massive hit or anything. There was just this natural interest since Coldplay hadn't put anything out in a while. So it was played a couple of times with comments like "listen to this very different new song from Coldplay" or something. But that's still pretty good for such an anti radio friendly song. In a way I feel like Midnight was a gift for the fans. I know not everyone considered it that way. But I think Coldplay wanted to share something new, cool and not mainstream before all the singles flooded the ether - I hope they will repeat that some day. I remember being completely blown away by Midnight, it being the first thing we heard off GS. I liked that feeling. :D [smoke is rising from the houses]

It wasn't technically released as a single. It was just... released. They put out a video and then it ended up on the album. It did get some airplay though. [smoke is rising from the houses]

AHFOD will look/sound like this (according to me) It will look like the Anything Is Possible graphic at the end of the True Love which was the first real hint at AHFOD imho. The sound will be clear and sparse. Powerful bass and hard hitting drums. M83-like synths and MX-like Johny action with many different little riffs/melodies. Vocals with funky effects. Lemme just restate that: it was DEFINITELY a joke. And a pretty obvious one frankly. Davide Rossi (not Rik btw) was asked how many songs was going to be on the final album. Of course he wouldn't really know, and if he did he probably wouldn't be allowed to say. So he answered, tongue in cheek, that there will be either 25 or 53 songs on the album. I've just seen a few people come back to this, and maybe it's because sarcasm is not equally common everywhere, but that's what it was: sarcasm. [smoke is rising from the houses]

Now that you mention A Rush Of Blood To The Head and lyrics. I love the lyrics to that song: "Said I'm gonna buy a gun and start a war, if you can tell me something worth fighting for" So much suppressed anger in that song, and the way he sings those words just gives me the chills! Okay I can see how my comment could sound a bit off putting. I apologize. But I was genuinely surprised. Let me explain. This is my country: And this the area I live in: I'm at the blue dot. :) I can find sea water at any given time within just a few miles at most. My country has around 7,300 km of shore line against 70 km of land border! I totally get that not everyone has been blessed in this way, but I was totally blown away by the possibility of never having been at a beach and seen the ocean.
